Medite! / Meditate!

Medite!
Leitura bíblica:
_________________

Meditate!
Bible reading:

For the commandments, I love, I will lift up my hands and I will meditate on your decrees (Psalm 119.48).

Today, we read in the text on the law of the Lord (the divine guidelines set for life). The Bible encourages us not only to obey her, but also to meditate on it (see, for example, Psalm 1.1-2). Unfortunately, for many, including some Christians, this is done only in times of worship, as an obligation and not with pleasure. However, should happen constantly in life who serves God. For the Hebrews, meditate meant reading the text in a low voice, repeating the words, with the goal of understanding what was read. In relation to the Bible, is that in-depth study which causes the word to be impregnated in mind and their values, assimilated. When this occurs, the divine message shall be respected and can be put into practice. This study also makes the human being to be closer to the Lord, for the Bible is one of the means by which he reveals himself.
In a world so hard and with such falsehood, there's nothing more reliable than the word of the Lord. Who knows their meditates on her numerous benefits – for example, the text we read today claims she invigorates the soul, give joy to the heart, brings light to the eye and makes wise the inexperienced. The psalmist puts it as the most precious that exists to such an extent that his Excellency goes beyond the pure gold and appreciated mel, that is, there is nothing that can be compared to it in value. Is something much greater than material rewards.
No one can live the experience of meditation in the word through someone else. This is an individual decision and conscience of the Christian. It is not possible to describe the reward for those who decide to study the Bible, but she already starts with inner peace you will enjoy. Take the decision to learn more each day about the word of God. Through her, God will transform your life! (MZK)
The more we know the Bible, we learn about God and his love for us.

Bom sono / Good sleep

Bom sono
Leitura bíblica:
_________________

Good sleep
Bible reading:
_________________
I lay me down to sleep, and wake up again, because it is the Lord who sustains me (Psalm 3.5).
_________________
Did you sleep well last night? How's your sleep? I think you will agree that one of the best things that exist in life is a good night's sleep. A good sleep has the ability to restore the strength and the courage to a new day. the opposite is also true: when we don't sleep well, we were tired and with the feeling of not having the strength to face some challenges of the day which arise before us. What can you lose sleep? The reasons are numerous, but a great enemy of sleep is the concern. As you say the word, it is a pre-occupation with something that we cannot resolve at the present time. How many times have we spent the night tied up with what we can only solve the next day? And when finally we can deal with the situation, we're tired, because we lose sleep.
The Psalm you just read was written by King David when he fled from his son Absalom, who was trying to overthrow his own father to the throne – a reason more than justified for David to worry. Their opponents were many. But David had a certainty: the Lord was his shield that protected him and made him walk with our heads held high, even being pursued by his own son. The situation was difficult. She just made David calls to God for deliverance. But the security that was in God made him rest, because it was the Lord who held, and there was no reason to be worrying. "Lay me down in peace and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me live in safety" (Psalm 4.8).
Jesus, in speaking of the concerns of life, said: "don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Just about every day your own evil "(Matthew 6.34). Think of the testimony of David and the words of Jesus the next time you can't sleep because you're worried about something. (MP)
Jesus is in control of all things, so I can rest. I know he takes good care of me.
