Bem-amado / Well-beloved /

1 João 4:7-21
Nós amamos porque ele nos
amou primeiro. —1 João 4:19
Daniel 1–2
1 João 4
*
“Realmente creio”, disse ele, “que ela me ajudou a aprender a amar”.

1 John 4: 7-21
We love because he
loved us first. — 1 John 4:19
Daniel 1 – 2
1 John 4
*
A friend described his grandmother as one of the biggest influences in his life. Throughout his adult life, he kept the portrait of her next to his desk, to remember her unconditional love. "I really believe," he said, "it helped me learn to love".
Not all had a similar experience with human love, but, through Christ, each one of us can feel loved by God. In 1 John 4, the words that refer to love occur 33 times and the love of God through Christ is quoted as the source of our love for God and for others. "This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his son as propitiation for our sins" (v. 10). "And we know and believe in the love that God has for us …" (v. 16). "we love because he first loved us" (v. 19).
The love of God is not a slowly dripping faucet or a well that we need to dig for ourselves. It is a torrent of water that flows from his heart to within our. Whatever our family environment or our life experiences — if we feel loved by others or not — we know love. We can drink from the inexhaustible source of the Lord to hear His loving care for us, and we can give it to others.
In Christ, our Savior, we are Well-beloved
.
Nothing is more powerful than the love of God.

Nunca ocupado demais / Never too busy /

Psalm 145: 8-21
Nearby is the Lord of all that the
all allege that the call
in truth. — Psalm 145: 18
Ezekiel 42 – 44
1 John 1
*
Some universities rent a House from my sister and her husband. One night, a thief tried to enter the House. When one of the young women called the police, to denounce the invasion, the operator answered so unusual: "Return the link tomorrow morning. We are busy at the moment. " This response was very disturbing! The young woman had done the right thing by calling the police, but for some reason, your request for help was dismissive. Such indifference is disturbing.
But, when we seek God in prayer, He never meets with indifference. Perhaps not always feel that God is listening, but he is. He cares and respond. The Bible reminds us that we can comfort because our God cares deeply about what disturbed our hearts: "Near is the Lord of all that the rely of all who rely on truth" (Psalm 145: 18). When the invoke to receive a reply never disinterested.
Rather than distance itself when we cry out to him, our Heavenly Father nears us in our time of need. It is never too busy to the prayers of his children — He listens to us when we call.
The line of prayer to heaven will never a busy signal.

Temas do advento / Themes of advent /

1 Pedro 1:3-5,13-21
…esperai inteiramente na graça que
vos está sendo trazida na revelação
de Jesus Cristo. —1 Pedro 1:13
Ezequiel 40–41
2 Pedro 3
*

1 Peter 1: 3-5.13 -21
… wait entirely on grace
ye is being brought in Revelation
of Jesus Christ. — 1 Peter 1:13
Ezekiel 40 – 41
2 Peter 3
*
I believe that all Scripture is related and that all Scripture is relevant. Even so, I was surprised when my reading, in the book of 1 Peter played in all four themes of Advent; the period in the calendar of the Church in which many Christians prepare to celebrate the first coming of Christ, while waiting for his second coming. During advent, we emphasize the hope, peace, joy and love, that God sent with Christ.
Hope: we have an inheritance reserved in heaven, a living hope through the resurrection of Christ from the dead (1 Peter 1: 3-5).
Peace: Love  life and see happy days in we break of evil, do good and seek peace, because the Lord's eyes rest on the righteous and your ears are open to their supplications (3:10 -12).
Joy: we have unspeakable joy, even in trials, because our faith is being tested and proven as genuine. The end of that faith is the salvation of our souls (1: 6-9).
Love: We love one another with a pure heart, because we have been regenerated through the word of God which lives and abides forever (1:22 -23).
Because Christ came the first time, we can live with hope, peace, joy and love until his back.
If you search the hope, peace, joy and love this Christmas season, look for God.
