Contrário
Leitura bíblica:
_________________

Then the Lord said to Moses: "Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh: for my mighty hand, he let them go; by my mighty hand, he shall cast out of his country"(Exodus 6.1).
_________________
God sent Moses and Aaron the King of Egypt in order to ask permission to the Israelites were to worship him on Mount Sinai. Not knowing the Lord, the King found this totally unnecessary, as it would come out the loser with these lost working days. So the King increased the pressure on the Israelis, forcing them to work even harder and punishing them so that they didn't have time to think about other things and "give attention to lies". What a disappointment! Moses and Aaron were sure that the plan came from God. Why so things just getting worse, instead of better?
You've been through something similar? Began to seek more to God and his will, and everything happened as opposed to what you expected? In these moments to imagine that before everything was better than from the moment you decided to take a step of faith and follow the will of God.
Moses and Aaron were in this situation. Not enough "no" the King, now all people accused of causing more suffering. The Pharaoh wanted the people thought could never be free, but that would have to serve him all my life.
This is what the devil does in our lives. When you're trying to do the Lord's will, he tells his lies, for example, that we will never be rid of the things that we do and that we must comply with it.
But it's just lies. When everything happened contrary to expected, do as Moses: search for the presence of the Lord and put before him your questions, your feelings and thoughts. Look for the solution, and you will be surprised with what God will do. God wants to bring big wins for his life, as well as brought to the Israeli people. God made a turnaround so large that the King himself asked the people to come out of Egypt (see Exodus 12).

Palavra de poder / Word of power

Palavra de poder
Leitura bíblica:
_________________

“Justo hoje!”, pensou a jovem.

Hardly anyone preach about this chapter of the Bible. And, if one day someone preached, surely the Rapture of Enoch was the reason. Moreover, what lesson could there be in this text?
I heard a story once about this passage. On farm owned by a pious Christian had a small lounge where a group of believers that the countryside would gather on Sundays. The farmer's daughter began a relationship with a student of Medicine of São Paulo. Apparently, the relationship had no future, because the young man feared the boyfriend didn't get interested by God in the same way as her. One day, on a holiday weekend, the student was visiting his girlfriend and ended up showing willingness to accompany her to the cult. Coming to the salon, they learned that the preacher in charge of the cult could not come. A humble farmer took the front and read the same text of our reading today. After those present sang a hymn, there were two prayers and the cult ended. "Today of all days!", thought the young. "And still a text like this!"
Days later, her boyfriend wrote to him that, as a future doctor had spoken deep into his heart the repetition of the phrase "So-and-so lived so many years and died". And completed: "Dear! I'm attending a church here in the capital. The unavoidable truth that everyone dies, no matter what the person wishes to avoid this, led me to think about what comes after death. "
The Bible is the word of God. God honor his word, kept his promise and takes her to achieve the desired goals, as he himself says in the verse highlighted. The "on this day" frustrated the young man was, in fact, the "today" transformer in God's plan. Who relies on the power of the word of God, will see even today many miracles.

Repetição / Repetition

Repetição
Leitura bíblica:
_________________
Podemos escolher a Cristo!

Repetition
Bible reading:
_________________
You are the same as their ancestors: always resist the Holy Spirit! (Acts 7.51)
_________________
Studying the history, we can avoid the mistakes of our ancestors. After all, the context has changed and we have more conditions to hit than they. However, it seems that every generation strives to repeat the mistakes of the previous one.
With the Israelis was no different. Soon they, who were so special because they are the chosen people of God and superior to other people for that. The generation mentioned in text read today had lived with God himself made man, seen his miracles and his death on the cross, and yet doubted it was the Messiah.
Accused of speaking out against the law, Moses and God, Stephen recalled the Jewish leaders the history of his people. Mentioned Abraham, Joseph and Moses, faithful men, obedient to God and who dared to believe the promises of God. They don't always hit, but what about the Israelis? In acts 7.38-41 we read that God gave them "living words", but they refused to obey-God, rejected the worshiped a false god and "in your heart went back to Egypt". It wasn't an isolated episode: several times disobeyed, practiced idolatry and killed the prophets who tried to get them back to God.
Many centuries later, nothing had changed. The Israelis rejected and killed the one who brought them "living words" and if subjected to a cruel and humiliating death to give eternal life to those who believed in him. Proud and blind, taught the law, but not obeyed.
It is easy to condemn them – but what if we lived at that time, does not do the same? We have to admit: we are so obstinate and rebellious as the Israelites. However, like them, we have the opportunity to recognize this, ask forgiveness to God and give our lives to him. We can choose to Christ! So we'll actually learn from the history of Israel and not to repeat the mistake of them. We follow Christ, obeying everything he taught.

Only through Christ we are able to avoid the repetition of past mistakes and learn from them.

Resistência / Resistance

Resistência
Leitura bíblica:
_________________
Daniel continuou orando a Deus.

Resistance
Bible reading:
_________________
Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the Crown of life (Rev. 2.10).
_________________
We are surrounded by hidden forces. There are spiritual powers who want to prevent us to have perfect harmony with our God. He, however, remains with us and give us strength to withstand all interference that we want to separate from him. Today's scriptural reading tells how Daniel was chased by stay in communion with God through prayer. The Persian King Darius, pressured by his advisors, had signed a law according to which 30 days no one should worship no god, but only the King. Anyone who doesn't obey would be thrown into the lion's den. Daniel, however, continued praying three times a day to God alive, like she always did. He knew that his God would save any powerful force that wanted to stop him from praying, worship him and have fellowship with him. Chose to continue serving God and not to other powers.
How you behave as a Christian if, when you get home after a long journey, to find all sacked? What would be your reaction if any member of his family was kidnapped? What makes a person remain firmly in a stressful situation of innocent suffering, of terrible pain, before an unexpected death or a scary storm, facing such situations with unwavering strength? Why Daniel loved the image of King only for thirty days and ready, would be free from all suffering? Daniel and we live in different times, but the power active in Daniel is the same as the Christian.
The answer lies in staying true in relation to God. He accompanies the faithful. No force can keep him away, even in the most difficult situations in life. Daniel continued praying to God. God makes the evil into good and the Christian can resist any powerful force that want to interfere in your relationship with the Lord.

Ouça, filho meu... / Listen, my son...

A Christian living in a big city and decided to visit a distant village to meet the amazing growth of the Gospel among the Indians. Ali had contact with many native brothers. After remaining several weeks there, he befriended an Indian Christian cheerful and communicative.
After some time, decided to invite their new friend to spend a weekend in your home. It was a joy for both of us to be together again to share what God had done in their lives and what they had learned in their Christian walk. Taking the opportunity of the visit, the Indian wanted to meet the center of that great city. The impact was too big for him, in front of so many buildings, cars, horns and noises.
At any given moment of the tour between the cars, in a tree-lined street, suddenly the Indian made a gesture so a friend stopped and stood in silence. He took the hand behind the ears, in a gesture of hearing acuity increase, and said:
I just hear a Canary singing and want to see where he is.
Similarly, we can see that some people are more attentive to distinguish certain sounds. Most listen to the noise of our hectic world, but those who belong to God hear what he says, no matter where they are or what the circumstances. Who loves the Lord can hear his soft voice. The Bible States that God speaks-did this in the past and still talking at present (see Hebrews 1.1-2). We just need to have sensitive spiritual ears to hear him in the midst of so many and compelling sounds. The hearing may be polite and directed. If necessary, let's hear what you're saying – and he's got a lot to talk about...

Oportunidade / Opportunity

Oportunidade
Leitura bíblica:
_________________

Desprezaram a oportunidade.

Jesus had just see a dispute by first places in one of the numerous banquets for which outside guest. One of the present advantage, it seems, to reinforce the belief that the Jews would occupy a prominent position in the heavens. To answer that had no Foundation, Jesus told the parable contained in these verses.
The Kingdom of God is an undeserved opportunity that God gives us. Granted it is a great danger. This Kingdom came when Jesus came into our world. What did the Jews of Jesus ' day? Despised the opportunity. The same is done today. The guests they think themselves wise in their choices and always find more important things to do. The first rejects attend the party for having purchased a field and you need to go see him. That wisdom, isn't it? Buy land without even meeting them. The second makes the same mistake. Bought bois without having them examined. The third, as he had married, had in his favor the law bypassed several responsibilities. Had a year layoff of civil duties, religious, etc ... Nor apologized.
The great unmade and the contempt to the honor of the host were corrected with humble and simple people, who saw in the invitation to the banquet an opportunity not to be missed.
To all men, of all ages, were exposed two truths: God's invitation is still being despised. The second truth: God has to celebrate. And, in eternity, this is going to hurt deeply in the consciousness of the rejecters. Criminals, promiscuous, ignorant, alcoholics, the poor, all kinds of people, repenting of their sins and accepting Christ as Savior, will be at the banquet of groom, which is Christ. Friend reader, worry about yourself, not with God. If you do not want to take the opportunity, he will have many guests.
