Diferenças / Differences

Diferenças
Leitura bíblica:
_________________

Differences
Bible reading:

All of you are able to come do everything the Lord has commanded (Exodus 35.10).

I went with a friend visit another friend who had moved recently. I looked at the living room window of his home and noticed some kittens that were out there. A few minutes later, the friend who accompanied me looked out the same window and said: "taking good care of your flowers. She didn't give importance to cats and I hadn't noticed the flowers. This generated a good conversation about how we are completely different from each other. God made each with its own peculiarities.
It's foolish to want the other to think like me. God made us that way and he wants us to use these differences to complement us – especially when it comes to his Kingdom. Each has a different skill and needs to be appreciated for that, not criticized for what is not or can not do.
We see that when God gave his people the instructions for building the Tabernacle where they would worship him. There were many different tasks to be done: need of people to work with wood, with precious stones, to sew the curtains and make the clothes of priests, leaders and their aides.
There's no need to be in "up in arms" because the others failed to notice something that's important to me. It is possible that I have not seen something important to him. Perhaps it is for this reason that we are side by side: to help each other. But for this to happen it is necessary to have a servo and leave the pride, because it prevents us from cooperating and accept the opinion of others – on the contrary, leads us to do only charges.
When I start to realize that I and my next we can help with the chores, then everything gets easier and God is glorified. In order for a work to be excellent is nice to have several "types of people" – each one different from the other. What needs to be equal is the goal to please God with what I am and I know.

Aprovado / Approved

Aprovado
Leitura bíblica:
_________________

The human being goes through many times when seeking approval. The verse 20 of reading today confirms that Samuel was approved before God as a prophet. We can ask: what did Samuel for this to happen? Many can be the answers, but certainly he was a man of spirit, submissive and that sought the integrity of life before God.
The context of the book of Samuel shows that at that time there was a lot of moral depravity and idolatry, among other things. Were difficult days for the nation of Israel, to the point that the family of the priest Eli acted in such a way that the Lord failed. This whole situation has made the Lord didn't talk often with his people. In these circumstances there was someone different: Samuel. Despite being only a child, he didn't go unnoticed in the eyes of the Lord. It's amazing to think that, even with a priest, God spoke to a boy.
In addition to submissive spirit and integrity, this was a boy willing to listen to your God (verse 9). Samuel, even a child, showed humility. She had received a divine revelation, but stay in your place and continued to perform their routine functions. It was by that attitude, and certainly many others that the biblical text does not report, which Samuel grew up in the company of Mr. For all this his life was meaningful for the whole nation of Israel and also this nation's approved in function that came to play.
The life of Samuel showed he was somebody. He made use of his position to serve God and neighbor. Was available to be used by God and to assist Saul, David and all the people. You would like to be approved by God? God continues to speak and to be heard. This boy's life that serve as an incentive and example of how we can be approved before God and men.

Um fardo pesado demais / A burden too heavy

Um fardo pesado demais
Leitura bíblica:
_________________
_________________
Oh, o aperto gradual do ódio.

A burden too heavy
Bible reading:
_________________
All bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and yelling, and blasphemies, and all malice be taken away from among you. (Ephesians 4.31)
_________________
Oh, the gradual tightening of anger. Your damage starts as the crack in my windshield. Thanks to a truck at high speed on a gravel road, my glass was cracked. Over time, the latch became a crack and the crack, a tributary meandering ... I couldn't drive my car without thinking about the ignorant who drove too fast. Although never seen, could describe it. He was a hustler, who cheated on his wife, drove with six beer cans on the bench and let the television so loud that the neighbors could not sleep ...
Have you ever heard the expression "blind rage"?
Let me be very clear. Hate tastes bitter your perspective and break their back. The burden of bitterness is simply too heavy. His knees bend under load and your heart will break under the weight. The mountain in front of you is already quite steep without the oppression of hatred on his back. The wiser choice — the only choice — is you leave the anger. You will never be asked to give someone funnier than God ever gave you.

Confusão / Confusion

Confusão
Leitura bíblica:
_________________

Confusion
Biblical reading:
_________________
Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel, your Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: I am the first and I am the last; besides me there is no God. (Isaiah 44.6).
_________________
Who is God? In today's scriptural reading, appears a foreign official threatening the people of Judah and King Hezekiah. In his opinion, there were many gods, each had their people, but the King of Assyria, actually a man, not a god, would be greater than all of them, because subdued one by one the people who worshipped them. For him, the Lord, God of Judah, was just another. And he thought I was a support of this divinity to destroy Judah. Got confused between the Lord and the false gods that Hezekiah had fought.
But let me repeat the question: Who is God to you? Today we speak of many gods, the Christians (one), the Jews, the Muslims, away from other religions or even no religion. Modern gods like success, the money, the fame, the pleasure, the ' I ' ... and so on.
The Bible says that there is only one God (see verse highlighting): is the one who created and maintains everything that exists. It is true that many also are trying to convince themselves that there is no god or that really there are several, such as the Assyrian official. It is up to each one of us think it through and make sure that really convinces us.
The reason the Christian belief that God revealed to us, according to the Bible and in the person of his son Jesus is the only true and living is: when we submitted to him, trusting in his love, he responds, transforms our lives, giving it value and meaning.
Jesus died and rose again to make this possible. The challenge is just deposit our confidence in this message. Who ever did this, can as notaries in the certificates they issue: this is true and give you faith.

Who believes in the God of the Bible has no doubt that He is alive and real.

Shema

Shema
Leitura bíblica:
_________________
Ouça, ó Israel: o Senhor, o nosso Deus, é o único Senhor (Deuteronômio 6.4).
_________________

Hear, o Israel: the Lord our God, the Lord is one (Deuteronomy 6.4).

In life we are always learning. Every day we are surprised with new words (at, chat, laptop, underline, twitter, mouse ...) Upon arriving in Fortress assumed the noble mission of herding a church with the "last name" Shema. Since then searched learn the origin and the real meaning of this new word in my vocabulary somewhat "Americanized".
Shema to my surprise, is a Hebrew word whose translation is "listen". We find the term in the text today, especially in verse, which begins the statement of faith of the Israelites: the assertion that you are the only one God and that this must be loved with all his being.
To understand well, we must know the historical context of the time. Moses was the leader designated by God to convey the divine law to the people of Israel. In the book of Deuteronomy, he recalls the facts and the law before the conquest of Canaan — in Deuteronomy 5, for example, we have a repetition of the ten commandments. The Lord's directive was clear: "They care to make everything as the Lord, your God, ordered them; do not deviate from, or to the right or the left "(Deuteronomy 5.32). Only in this way would be successful on earth that were about to conquer – see in Deuteronomy 28 what God has promised to those who were obedient and also what would happen to those who rebel.
Given this scenario, God Almighty declares out loud: "Shema.", that is, "Listen!". Today we also need to hear the voice of God and put into practice what he tells us. Obedience to the commandments of the Lord is the safest way to please him. It's no coincidence that the word "obey" is related to "listen" or "be under the authority of someone".
Listen: the Lord God the Lord is one! When you hear his voice, do not hesitate: obey!
