Deus ouve / God hears

Deus ouve
Leitura bíblica: Gênesis 18.16-33
_________________

God hears
Bible Reading: Genesis 18.16-33

Abraham said: "there you go, Sir, but allow me to mention just one more time" (Genesis 18.32 a).
_________________
In the old testament we have some records of dialogues of God with the human being. These dialogues reveal a very personal God and around, quite different from the image that often has him. The text you just read brings one of those dialogs. Due to the perverse practices in Sodom and Gomorrah, God decides to exterminate the people of those cities. Abraham puts up as intercessor between God and these people. He knew he was being bold in addressing God with some questions, even more for being repetitive. But what is surprising is that God is not provoked with Abraham, but lets talk.
God is interested in listening to us. No matter what we say, God inclines his ear. We don't have to change the tone of our voice and not look up words or effect repeat phrases that we hear of others to pray to God. When talking with God we can be ourselves. We don't need to create a character and not pretend that we are what we are not actually. God knows us better than we know ourselves. It was he who formed us and see us from the womb of our mother. He knows what is in our hearts and in our minds.
Maybe you think in your heart: since God knows all things, there is no reason to talk to him.
However, God wants us to hear. As parents, many times we know what our children want, but we like to listen to them and talk to them. God is no different. Since the garden of Eden (Genesis 2.8), God sought to keep in touch with the human being, talking and listening to what he had to say. King David testified: "in the morning you hear, Sir, my cry; This morning my prayer and look forward with hope, "(Psalm 5.3). I want to motivate you to do the same: talk to God, he will hear it without worry. In fact, he is more willing to listen to him than you to talk to him.

Deus chama / God calls

Deus chama
Leitura bíblica: Jeremias 1.4-10
_________________
E quanto a você?
Envia-me!” (Isaías 6.8b)

God calls
Bible Reading: Jeremiah 1.4-10
_________________
Before form in the womb, I chose you (Jeremiah 1.5).
_________________
In the Bible we find accounts of multiple people being called by God to be leaders, prophets, liberator, judges, Kings and disciples. Meditation today shows how it was the call of the Prophet Jeremiah.
Before the convocation of God, what was your reaction? He must have been too young at the time, claimed that reason for declaring itself incapable of the task. There are versions of the Bible in your answer is: "I'm just a kid". However, the calling of Jeremiah was the purpose of God before your birth.
His reaction was that probably most people expresses: astonishment, admiration and a sense of inability to answer the call. What about you? Have you ever noticed a strong push to accomplish a specific work for God? What was your reaction? If you answered positively, despite the reluctance, all right. If fled the called, who knows God is still waiting for your answer. In the case of Jeremiah, the task that he received was great to the point of being scary: he should determine the fate of Nations and kingdoms, announcing them the judgment of God, but also its restoration. So Jeremiah was the spokesman of God to the people of Israel in a busy time in its history, coinciding with the defeat of the Kingdom of Judah before the Babylonians. This resulted in the destruction of Jerusalem, its capital, and the deportation of much of the population to Babylon.
Going back to our days, does not God could be calling you to be a spokesman for him in Brazil's political climate at this time of so much corruption? You may not feel able to do something, but if really God is calling you to this or any other task, there is nothing to fear. Isaiah, another of the great prophets of Israel, offers the example of an appropriate response: "here I am. Send me! " (Isaiah 6.8 b)

Batalha / Battle

Batalha
Leitura bíblica: Josué 10.40-43
_________________
O Senhor, o Deus de Israel, lutou por Israel (Josué 10.42).
_________________

Battle
Bible Reading: Joshua 10.40-43
_________________
The Lord, the God of Israel, fought for Israel (Joshua 10.42).
_________________
The verses you just read finish the account of a winning streak of Joshua and Israel on various kings. The Israelis were treading now the promised land by God to them many years ago, but had to go to fight.
They won cities and Kings that humanly it would be impossible to subdue, but succeeded because God was with them. It is God himself who struggled and worked for them, and the people had to trust him. Not always were successful immediately, because I made some mistakes when they rely on their own ability. So would the God and achieved victory.
How many fights and battles we face in our life? Can be in our inner struggles against a bad feeling as anger, hatred, bitterness, envy, jealousy, maybe some bad habit or a need for change in ourselves. Sometimes the battles are fought externally, against the circumstances: unemployment, misunderstandings, a disease or even injustice committed against us.
We fight and fight daily against negative thoughts and bad, and in the end all we have is failure. We feel defeated. But the good news is that you don't have to battle wage alone. Jesus wants to help, and only with it you can win. The secret of Joshua was in strictly follow the orders of God and fight in the name of the Lord. Seek his help to cope with their everyday struggles, and if you've tried and failed, turn to God and try again. He is not here to accuse and count how many times you have failed, but how many times are you willing to stand up and trust him again. Ask Jesus to help you in this battle that has lasted so long and still couldn't win. He's happy to help. Is more interested in seeing us well than many times ourselves.

Under the direction of God, fight combines with tranquility.

Amizades / Friendships

Amizades
Leitura bíblica: Lucas 4.22-30
_________________

Friendships
Bible Reading: Luke 4.22-30
_________________
Who hurts for love shows loyalty, but an enemy multiplies kisses (Proverbs 27.6)
_________________
"All spoke well of him," begins the reading today. Who was who? The people of Nazareth, where Jesus had been created, spoke well of him, and when he, after some time off, visited the place, was well received. As was customary among the Jews, invited him to speak during its Saturday worship in the synagogue.
He then read the Bible prophecy of Isaiah that announced good news about the goodness of God, and everyone was hoping that now the "son of Joseph" (that Carpenter next door who would say, no?), offered them a package of miracles, how would you have done in Capernaum, another town in the region. Only then did not come the amenities or the show. What mattered there, Jesus explained, were not some advantages of moment that could take him, but who he was: the Special Envoy of God you've all been waiting for and you'd what Isaiah said. This would all the authority of Jesus to get right with God. Now, such a thing were not prepared to accept, and then your sympathy turned inside out. Were so outraged that they wanted to kill him.
It is a fact that this claim of Jesus really should sound absurd to his companions, but, after all, was the truth-and Jesus had already given her statements through his accomplishments, of which the nazarenes were reported. In addition, nothing prevented that gave you credit and confirm this truth through experience, but preferred a friendly conversation and without compromise, perhaps with some haunting hot by the miracles he performed.
Yes, being confronted with the truth can be very unpleasant, but as you say the verse featured, well worth more than kindnesses false. So the message today is a challenge to receive with gratitude even those uncomfortable things genuine friends sometimes need to tell us.

Maria Madalena / Mary Magdalene

Maria Madalena
Leitura bíblica: João 20.1,10-18
_________________
Levaram embora o meu Senhor e não sei onde o puseram (João 20.13b)
_________________

Mary Magdalene
Bible Reading: John 20.1,10-18
_________________
Took away my Lord, and I don't know where they put him (John 20.13)
_________________
Mary Magdalene was a special woman. Her Jesus had driven seven demons. From Magdala, on the shores of the sea of Galilee, became an example of faith and dedication to all of us, today. Woman who loved Jesus as his Lord, master and Savior. We realize that through your actions on several occasions.
An example found in John 20.1 and 10-18. Magdalene wanted to have a date with Jesus (even though he was dead) and to do so he left early and is still dark. That morning had a surprise. There was no impediment. The rock closed the access to the grave had been removed. That's what can also occur with us when we seek with anxiety a date with Jesus. Any obstacle will be removed. Magdalene stood before the empty tomb to cry. Looking into the sepulchre, saw two angels.
Is so, even when we're with the heart: are comforted with the presence of God. At that time were angels his emissaries. Today the emissary of God's Holy Spirit, comforter when we're sad. That morning special, suddenly Jesus performed alongside his faithful servant, sad and without comfort. She didn't recognize him immediately. Need a dialogue with the Master: "Woman, why are you crying and who are you looking for?" Told of his sadness and Jesus just said: "Mary!" and she recognized his master, exclaiming surprised and comforted, "Rabôni!" Transformed, ran out to meet your first mission – lead to the disciples the message of the Resurrection: "I have seen the Lord! He's alive! "
Magdalene was also one of the who were present before the cross, along with Mary, mother of Jesus, her sister, Mary the wife of Clopas and the disciple John. It was brave and faithful, not fleeing as the other disciples. Another example for us.

Justiça / Justice

Justiça
Leitura bíblica: Miqueias 6.6-8
_________________

Justice
Bible Reading: Micah 6.6-8
_________________
Religion that God our father accepts as pure and undefiled, is this: to look after orphans and widows in their trouble, and not to corrupt the world (James 1.27).
_________________
The question that the Prophet Micah did for so many years is one that we all need too do: how should appear before the Lord to worship him truly? What do you like? Sacrifices are important to God? Both in the days of the prophets of Israel and Judah but also in our there are only two types of worship. We love God as he wants or doesn't worship him truly.
The Kings of Israel have moved away from God and therefore sought other forms of worship, did what was evil in the sight of the Lord, built altars to strange gods, offered burnt offerings to gods and sacrificed even his own children (verse 7). For this reason God lifted the prophets. They had a very clear message to the nation: God requires of his people worship true, that involves the daily practice of Justice and fidelity, and that every worshiper walk humbly with your God. He rejects any other type of worship.
The practice of Justice, therefore, is of extreme importance to God. She must walk side by side with the worship that we perform. Is part of our being in a relationship with him, and not only at the weekend. True worship, that God accepts, involves community-the society where we live – with their different problems. The result is that we help the needy, hungry, poor, homeless and drug addicts, we do justice and fight for her. Is the application of the teachings of Jesus in the sermon on the mount. So, every day we will be worshipping God truly. It is impossible for a worship of God alienated the community where we live. The weekend meet so with joy with our brothers to give God our worship, because we put into practice the teaching of the word.
