Contrariar
Leitura bíblica: 1 Reis 1.1-6
_________________

Bible Reading: 1 Kings 1.1-6

His father never had thwarted; never ask: "why do you act like this? ..." (1 Kings 1.6).
_________________
Today's scriptural reading reports that the famous King David was coming to the end of his life. Realizing this fact, his son Adonijah stepped forward and took over the Throne from his father. Although he had some right, his father was still alive and had not decided anything in regards to his successor. This led to Adonijah take over the Throne from his father before time?
The text explains what happened. His father never had resisted and nor reprimanded. David was a very devoted to political issues of the Kingdom of Israel, but their family life was marked by the plural marriage, that is, he had more than one wife. This made he didn't give enough attention to their children.
Currently it is also common to see parents too involved with work, studies and other activities outside the family. Sometimes do not lead a life worthy of being imitated and don't have the heart to scold their children. That's what happened to David. Not in that he has recognized in front of their kids who made a mistake when he committed adultery with the wife of Uriah, Bathsheba (2 Samuel 11.1-10), although he did before God. However, the apology must come to all areas affected by sin.
Usually the kids don't expect a perfect father, but someone who has the courage to admit when wrong, someone you love goes against his son for his own good. A father who never says no to her son one day can run the serious risk of being put out of the House, as happened as David. Be a good father does not mean always do the will of the children, but teaching them how to have things they desire not only asking, but acting things happen automatically, that is, on time and without causing harm to anyone.

Risos / Laughter

Risos
Leitura bíblica: Gênesis 18.1-15
_________________
Humilhem-se diante do Senhor, e ele os exaltará (Tiago 4.10).
_________________

Laughter
Bible Reading: Genesis 18.1-15
_________________
Humiliate themselves before the Lord, and he shall exalt (James 4.10).
_________________
There are a lot of popular sayings about laughter. One of them says "Very little wisdom laughter." I remember hearing this of teachers in school-and by the looks on their faces, you could see that they value in the laughter that wisdom. Unlike students, of course.
Laughter is great-as long as it's not the teacher or for other reasons. The case of Mrs. Sara, who laughed at God. Did you read the story: that of gaining a son with nearly 100 years of age was impossible! Just laughing, even. That's what she did and then had to swallow a censure because I didn't want to believe in God. The Bible does not care if God also laughed at Sara, but you could imagine. Fact that he confirmed his promise, and, after a year, Sara laughed again, but now with joy. God is kind and also created our ability to laugh – Sara only had to learn to laugh at the right time, not to fall for this story of the "little wisdom teeth"-which for her was to find something that would be impossible for God.
Sara's story ended well. God forgave their disbelief, that was just to scare-too good to be true. There are, however, who laughs at God by despise him and, when it doesn't say at once that it does not exist, denies that it can intervene in your life and in the world. The Bible calls such people of fools – and mocks his laughter: "as the Crackle of thorns under the pot, so is the laughter of fools" (Ecclesiastes 7.6). Yes: the thorns under the pot make noise as they burn and are over. To the fool who laughs like this, God has a frightening response: "your throne in heaven the Lord put laughing and kidding them" (Psalm 2.4). Imagine the situation: you laughing – "Well, God does not exist!"-and he answers with his laugh-"My friend, I have a surprise for you!" Nasty, right?
Fortunately, however, our God is the same as Sara, and so he gives us the message that is in the verse highlighted. To God everything is possible – to overcome our foolishness with his grace.

Culto / Cult

Culto
Leitura bíblica: Levítico 10.1-11
_________________

Cult
Bible Reading: Leviticus 10.1-11
_________________
You have to make separation between the Holy and the profane, between the pure and the impure (Leviticus 10.10).
_________________
The text today brings valuable lessons as to how the God is sought. Sing songs, do prayers and transmitting or listening to the biblical teaching along with other Christians is important, but for you it doesn't make sense if the character of the one who loves is not pleasing to him. The text indicates the ethical procedure that priests should have to serve the Lord-and also what could happen when this was disobeyed. It shows that our feelings and purposes are also involved in the cult. Others may fail to perceive them, but to God that makes all the difference so that there is a real cult.
For example, the eccentricity, the manipulation and the exaltation of rhetoric without content are evidence of a deliberately distorted. What's different and exciting attracts many people, but the Christian message is simple and needs no gimmicks or false promises for someone to find God. The center of the cult must be Jesus and not any other matter or purpose.
You also need preparation: the authentic Christian life every day is to give meaning to the meeting of the community of Christians. The forms of worship are only an aid for people closer to God. In fact, he is not limited to one location, because his spirit lives in each one of his children. Thus, the Christian's body must be an altar worthy as glorious presence.
In his word, God demonstrates how wants to be worshipped. There are boundaries that distinguish the Christian worship of any other type of worship. The verse highlighted recommends the separation of that pleases God or not. How hard it is to be aware of that. We can start watching our feelings and thoughts and the way we see our similar. We must not forget that the blood of Christ cleanses who displeases God, giving him life and not death. The cult we provide the Lord reflect that!

Confiança / Trust

Confiança
Leitura bíblica: Salmo 56.3-4
_________________

Trust
Bible Reading: Psalm 56.3-4
_________________
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13.8).
_________________
At the time I write this text we are following scandals involving a large enterprise of our country. The uncertainty about the investigations, the total involved and their accountability for criminal acts cause the financial market look with uncertainty for the company. The values of their shares have fallen considerably and many people lost a lot of money invested. This is just one example of how a company considered solid can go from sure profits for a total uncertainty when looking to the future.
But I want to draw attention to something that is very valuable and will always remain with the same value: Jesus Christ, God's son, and his Kingdom are invaluable.
Nothing in the world can compare to the richness that is living with him. When the Philistines arrested David in Gate (the episode that this is Psalm 56), he stated that God and not trust feared what might happen to you. For some, being imprisoned by the enemy could be the end.
However, we have here the wonderful testimony of someone who doesn't trust his own power, but in God.
Fortunately, the one who believes in Jesus Christ and gave their life to it can count on someone that is always the same. If we look at the past, we will see how he has been with us every day of our lives. Even in the most difficult moments we can see how we helped. Looking at this we can be sure of the presence of our God, and to him we have confidence also in front of the next. For us the future is still unknown, but our God know him fully.
Given that there is no reason to fear, because, just like today, tomorrow we will also have the presence of someone who loves us and stays true to our side every moment. And so, if you still live only in the uncertainties of this world, I invite you to also trust this God who leaves us completely safe.

Reciclar ou queimar / Recycle or burn

Reciclar ou queimar
Leitura bíblica: Ezequiel 15.1-8
_________________

Recycle or burn
Bible Reading: Ezekiel 15.1-8

Then death and Hades were cast into the Lake of fire. The Lake of fire is the second death (Revelation 20.14)
_________________
The text of today's scriptural reading offers a vision similar to the creation of many artists of our day. They make use of leftover wood rejected the constructions and create chairs, tables, sofas and magazine holders, in such a way that we could never imagine they came from. If you don't fall in the hands of these artisans, these materials would be burned and would disappear.
God sends the Prophet to lead the Israelites who were in Jerusalem and also those who had been exiled to a report than he, the Lord, was doing: trying to reuse them.
Here's the message: you are wood so bad that nothing would do but consign them to the fire. The "wood" which God had in his hands, that is, the people he chose to be his, was of such low quality as the wood of the vines. Just pay for the fire. Let's apply the lesson to our days. What could God do to take advantage of the people of today? Nothing. Its only destiny possible seems to be the fire.
What lesson can we get for our life? Depends on the answer to another question: what God can expect as a result of the investment he has made in my life? Will be treated as the wood of the vine? That's not what God wants. To Peter, Jesus said: "you are being sifted, but I have prayed for you that your faith does not fall apart" (Luke 22.31-32). Each of us is an investment of God, both physically and spiritually, because everything is God. The Earth, the oceans, the skies, our bodies, our relatives, our next, everything belongs to God, and we should treat them as such. We will accept be recycled to become beautiful and useful tools, or we will be intended for the divine fire?
