O valor da palavra / The value of the word

O valor da palavra
Leitura bíblica: Ezequiel 3.1-7
_________________

The value of the word
Bible Reading: Ezekiel 3.1-7
_________________
Gather the people before me to listen to my words, so that they learn to fear me while living on the land, and teach your children (Deuteronomy 4.10).
_________________
Ezekiel was listening to a voice, and then see that someone gives a roll-a book. The voice commands you to eat the book to fill your stomach. He obeys and note that the book is like honey – God's Word is sweet for those who accept it. Now, fed, he receives orders to go to the nation of Israel to pass him the word he had received. We can't take the message of God to others without being satisfied with it. The argument is much stronger when we transfer experience, rather than just theoretical knowledge.
The Prophet is instructed to pass the word, and also the who – and know beforehand the result that will reap after fulfilling the order. Should he pass the word to people who can understand it, but that still would not accept what he had to say. Under circumstances like this, we're likely to not obey. Think: why waste time? Imagine what would happen if the 1,000,000 who claim to be Christians started to obey faithfully to the word? Can you imagine if a corrupt were warned: "caution! Guy is Christian! Or attempt to corrupt him! " Many Christians think they have fulfilled their mission because they have gone to the cult, but true worship begins when we left the temple.
Often a non-Christian gets better the Word Christian. I gave a copy of this Diary to a neighbor couple. It was enough to become faithful servants of the Lord. We see that the value of the word and the results are the same after almost 3000 years, for as God is the same, the men are, in any season. Based on this text, take the word, believing that the results will be the same. Many believe, some don't.

Gratidão / Gratitude

Gratidão
Leitura bíblica: 1 Tessalonicenses 5.18

Sejam agradecidos (Colossenses 3.15b).

Hedonism is a philosophical education according to which the meaning of life is to enjoy pleasure. For the hedonist, the search for pleasure and the denial of the suffering seems to be the guarantee of happiness. In the illusion that needs to always receive, profit and accumulate, becomes forever unfulfilled.
Despite the need for development to be inherent to the human condition, the incessant search for accomplishments does not make the man happy. The desire to always have more brings anxiety and distress and, to the extent that is satisfied, other things are sacrificed, so that place of pleasure, we found suffering.
The dissatisfaction is the prison of the soul, and the pursuit of pleasure, our biggest tormentor. We are enslaved by our own desires. Unhappiness is not the presence of suffering, but the absence of meaning. And how to understand the meaning of life if we neglect to what her received, even though in the eyes of many it may seem little?
Gratitude is open to what life gives us spontaneously, not considering the results of the work insufficient, no matter how hard this can be and look like tiny reward. Is humility walked through small doors without the worry of whether they lead to large portals, without selfishness, without envy who has more, not wanting to bear for having more than the others.
Who is grateful does not suffer by the needs, because, even if little, always has to share. And in the absence of goods, simply divides what is your look, your kindness, your attention, your gestures of affection. Look at yourself and feel full, without refusing what life will offer you, and not complain for what has been subtracted. Use of prayers not to satisfaction of its quirks and vanities, and to thank and ask for anything that might be useful to others. It's not demanding, nor helpful, and so is even more blessed.
LFS

I can conclude that we received more than God when we thank than when we ask.

Candeia / Lamp

Candeia
Leitura bíblica: Lucas 8.16-17
_________________

Lamp
Bible Reading: Luke 8.16-17

No one lights a lamp and hides in a jar or puts it under a bed (Luke 8.16).
_________________
When we got home at night, the first thing I usually do is flip a switch to turn on a light. That practicality. Fortunately we are all born after Thomas Edison invented the electric light bulb, and many don't even have any idea how things worked before that. But it wasn't always like this.
The object from which this is parable of Jesus is a candle-a simple earthen lamp which used oil as fuel and could not miss in any home in Palestine. It was placed on a pedestal of metal or wood to provide a little light to the whole House of one room. If it were placed inside or under any object, would not fulfil its function and, then, would not have utility. Everyone knew, therefore, that it should be placed in an appropriate place. This little parable of the lamp appears just after the explanation of the parable of the sower (verse 9-15). There Jesus had said that "you have been given the knowledge of the mysteries of the Kingdom of God" (verse 10). Now, in the parable of the lamp, Jesus says that "no one lights a lamp and hides ... on the contrary, puts it in a suitable place, so that those who enter may see the light", showing that there is a direct relationship between these two texts. God gave us many things about him and his Kingdom. In addition, gave us the privilege to participate in the demonstration of his Kingdom in this world.
Jesus said that he is the light of the world (John 8.12), which illuminates all people (John 1.9). But made it clear that, once lit, we should also be light in the world (Matthew 5.14). In this way, we have the task to express knowledge of the mysteries of the Kingdom of God. We can't hide that we receive, but we have to put it in an appropriate place for all to see. Where is your lamp? People have seen the light of Christ shine through in your life?

Many still are in darkness because they don't see the light of Christ in us.

When I saw the phrase on his fender, I was apprehensive; I think many were impressed as I was. Today is so common to find verses written on cars that don't even call our attention; There are also other phrases, but none with the impact that my eyes have seen.
When we read verses in cars or trucks, tried to soon see the driver's face, but in the case of that truck was impossible. When he why to enter in a preferred, I also had to stop; and I braked on top. It was impossible to stop reading the phrase "Jesus wept" written in black letters on a yellow background, phrase that was growing before my eyes while I was stifling the car and I approached dangerously from the back of the truck. Anyone would have read and been asking:-Who was Jesus? -What happened to him? -Why Jesus wept. I think that Jesus wept for two reasons that opportunity: First, by identifying yourself with your friends, sad, cried. They cried for the death of Lazarus. The phrase in that truck features a moment of total empathy of the Lord: he cried with those who were crying.
But Jesus didn't cry only because they identify with the pain of their friends. He wept for Lazarus, who was already dead. We should give thanks to God, who sent his son, emptying your royalty, came to identify with us. He put himself in our place, paid the price of our sin and suffered our pain. The Son came to redeem us!
We should give thanks to God sent us his son who came to give us life and that cries for those who are dead or dying spiritually.
We should give thanks to God who sent us his son, God Man, you cry! Cry with us and cry for us.

Disposição
Leitura bíblica: Mateus 2.13-23
_________________
A sequência do texto mostra todas as consequências provindas dessa decisão.

Levante! O Senhor quer você! Isso é uma honra

And if he took the boy and his mother night and left for Egypt (Matthew 2.14, ara).

When I think of this Word-available-come to my mind two biblical episodes. One involves the life of the prophet Jonah; the other, Joseph, husband of Mary.
Reading the book of Jonah, we realize that when the Lord calls to announce his word in the city of Nineveh, Jonah is willing. But to go to the opposite side of that to where the Lord had sent: "Jonah was willing, but to escape from the presence of the Lord" (Jn 1.3, ARA). The sequence of the text shows all the consequences from this decision. Storm, almost a shipwreck and disgrace in other people's lives, and particularly Nineveh availability error for not listening to the word of the Lord. The order of the Lord to Jonas, "features" (or get up), expect obedience and readiness. That's not what happened to him at first.
Already looking to the account of Matthew, we see that, shortly after Jesus was born, the Lord said to Joseph: "Offers you, take the child and his mother, flee to Egypt, and remain there until I tell you" (Matthew 2.13, ARA). Here, too, God expected obedience and readiness. And, reading the verse 14, we saw exactly that: "and if he took the boy and his mother night and left for Egypt. In verses 20 and 21 we see again the same attitude. We don't have many reports about it and there is no speech or speak its in the Bible, but the learning that we can have with him is immense. Your willingness to obey the Lord could be ours as well.
Many times, obedience is a hard road to travel, but the Word shows us that it is the best. Is an expression of confidence. Is delivery. Is to say to the Lord: "I don't understand, but take what you want from me and here I am." And we know the Word which the consequences of obedience and disobedience. Our choice is available to what the Lord wants from us. It certainly is the best!

A Assíria logo repovoou as cidades do novo território.

Israel was the chosen people to be witness of the deeds of God. But with the passage of time, rather than be an influence, he was influenced by other people and began to worship their gods. God looked for a long time and numerous ways to call the people back to him. Until, because of the infidelity of the nation allowed Assyria to invade and take the people captive.
Assyria soon repopulated the towns of the new territories. However, something strange happened: the people began to be attacked by Lions. Came to the conclusion that it was not to the God they worshiped. Thought of a solution: make a priest who understand the demands of this "god" to come back and teach the people in order to obtain his favour, and he did. But the people didn't feel like leaving the other gods and found a way to "reconcile" the two things: loved the Lord, but also to their own gods. The truth is that they were worshipping the true God only not to give bad and not to punish them. The heart was away from him, centered on themselves and in their will.
Today we want to worship God only for convenience, motivated by our selfishness (the benefits that will yield) and not based on what God is after all, following God means to renounce my own will, desires, attitudes or to the people. God must be worshipped and served exclusively and with all my heart. There's no way to negotiate and have your blessing of other than this.
If you need to give up something to follow God, don't hesitate. Remember that God never abandons the one who is faithful. Love the Lord with all your heart, and you will not be difficult to drop anything for you, but your heart will be filled with joy and pleasure.
