A Rocha / The Rock

A Rocha
Leitura bíblica: Salmo 30.1-12
_________________
Tu, Senhor, por teu favor fizeste permanecer forte a minha montanha; apenas voltaste o rosto, fiquei logo conturbado (Salmo 30.7, ARA).
_________________

Sempre!

The Rock
Bible Reading: Psalm 30.1-12
_________________
You, Sir, for your favor you did stay strong my mountain; just came back from his face, I was troubled soon (Psalm 30.7, ARA).
_________________
It is God who sustains us all the time. If we are steadfast, is by his hand. Sometimes fool ourselves, thinking that "our mountain" is firm because we are good, capable and self-reliant. So God, in his mercy and sovereignty, "put in our place." All he has to hide his face, just the difficulty be bigger than us, and the pain reminds us that we are dust and soon we were shaken. Our frailty and weakness are notorious: without you we are nothing!
The word says that with God jumped walls. This also applies to those who are within us. The biggest obstacle is ourselves, falling into the trap of thinking it's our arm, our strength, our "wisdom" that keep us prosperous and unshakable.
The psalmist spent exactly why. All going well, booming, in greater prosperity, and he thought I was the one, full of himself, a fortress, "the man"! But then God only hid his face. Left the psalmist noting that I was treading on slippery ground, in sand, and at this moment he sobered up: was careful to God that kept him on his feet.

Is your kindness in raises and takes us beyond. Where you go and get whatever you reach, is because he gave him solid ground under their feet and support through his word. Out of it, you're sunk! Easily we forget that when everything is going well in your life.
So he turns his face. Just for that! To remind us that his face upon us, your favor for us lasts a lifetime, all the time, all over the place and situation. In the most mundane situations or in the midst of major problems and difficulties, he is taller than you rock, their liberation Tower, its high tower, as Psalm 61.2-3. Although the weeping will last one night, with God the joy comes in the morning. Hallelujah!

Felicidade / Happiness

Felicidade
Leitura bíblica: Salmo 119.1-8
_________________

E então, você aceita a proposta?

Happiness
Bible Reading: Psalm 119.1-8

How happy are those who obey the Statute [divine] and wholeheartedly seek [to God]. (Psalm 119.2)
_________________
Seeks happiness in professional achievement, partying, friends, a very high standard, great love ... All very volatile, with a shelf life of no more than a handful of years. Attaches itself to Pascal that the human soul has an infinite abyss that can only be filled by God; I agree, if the God you have in mind is one that manifested itself in an explicit way, and in the person of Jesus of Nazareth.
Some people look to God to solve problems of lack of money and health, repair relationships and so on, in a kind of Exchange: I obey, the Lord "bless". Is an understanding too "coisificada" of life. It is true that what we wish could be achieved, but as a "by-product" of life-changing us surrender to Jesus. However, everything we receive is far from the best in walking with God.
Jesus is described in the Scriptures as someone accustomed to suffering and hard work, without a place to rest; the money for his livelihood was on a burglar who claimed to be your friend; was chased, hated, betrayed, wronged and murdered. But I doubt that has existed on the Earth happiest man and carried out – simply by walking absolutely with God, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
God proposes more than humanity has sought since the world is world. I would translate like that: "These things that have occupied his time and concern are fleeting and misleading, come hang out with me! My love for you goes far beyond what you can imagine, I just want your well! Stop harping that knows what's best, abandon its defiance, reconcile me, accept my paternity and come and live in a way that will bring you joy and fulfillment from now and for all eternity ". And then you accept the offer?

There's more realization in walking with God than we usually think.

Projetos / Projects

Projetos

[Solomon said:] I intend to build a temple in honor of the name of the Lord my God, as the Lord said to my father David, his son, who put on the throne in his place, will build the Temple in honor of my name (1 Kings 5.5)

Certainly you have many dreams, plans and projects that you want to perform. But what's their purpose? They shall be accorded only to you or are part of the plans of the Lord into your life?
Solomon was a great leader. The biblical texts describe him as a man of wisdom. There is no doubt that, among the many achievements and projects that he concluded, one of the more special, if not the most important, was the construction of the Temple of the Lord. In carrying out this project, God raised up many people to help Solomon as King, King Hiram I for example. Solomon was successful and God was with him because he wanted to be faithful to the divine plans. It's no good just having good designs, you need to have available to develop them according to the will of the Lord.
As has been said, Solomon was a man considered wise. Such a title is assigned to him not because it had a good life or quiet, but because it was able to accomplish something that honored the name of your God. Texts such as the verse highlighted and ration 8.17-21 show that Solomon was building a monument to the glory and honor of the name of the Lord and not for their own glory or of his father David.
With this project, also the King King Hiram I and the people were benefited, and the temple served for the Lord's name was established and known among many Nations. The physical quantity of the work performed has caused many people to know the greatness of the God of Israel. That was the most special of all!! No matter the size of the project, what matters is how this project expresses and glorifies the God we serve!

When our personal projects combine with the plans of God, they are successful and glorify the Lord.
