Deus Nos Ouve / God Hears Us

Deus Nos Ouve
Leitura bíblica: Êxodo 3.1-10
____________________________________
Lá ela ficou internada no período do Natal e Ano Novo.

God Hears Us
Bible Reading: Exodus 3.1-10

I put all my hope in the Lord; He leaned over to me and heard my cry for help (Psalm 40.1).

At the end of 2013, my mother experienced severe abdominal pain and had to take her to the hospital. There she was admitted to hospital during the period of Christmas and new year. On 1 January 2014 she got better and was released, but with the condition to carry out some tests for your upcoming surgery. On the day determined by the doctor went with her to the hospital to check a specific examination of x-ray. In line at the ticket window was a gentleman questioning, because a year ago he couldn't score your examination. The Lady explained the reasons why it couldn't be done. Then, he said, "is that nobody listens to this hospital? Does no one can see my pain? ". Unfortunately, nothing helped: he was left without a solution.
How many times have you witnessed a scene like this? Maybe you've been there and it is questioning God: "why don't you listen to me? Does not see my situation? " In today's text, specifically in verse 7, God said to Moses that he had seen and heard the problems of the Hebrews and announced that he would personally get involved to address them. Just as God was aware of the suffering of your people in Egypt, he also knows our afflictions and hears our clamor. Whatever the situation through which we are passing, we can ask God for he will intervene with mercy in our favor, as well as the Hebrews did. The comfort, the grace and the help of God are fully sufficient to meet all our needs. God hear our groans, our prayers and our cries and, according to your will and at the right time, it can get rid of. Always keep in mind that God is involved with you, with your problems and troubles, because he can hear us and interested in everything that happens to us.

God is not distant and oblivious to our life: he knows what we go through and listen to our cry!

Fofocas / Gossip

Fofocas
Leitura bíblica: Neemias 6.1-14
____________________________________

Bible Reading: Nehemiah 6.1-14

Be your Yes, Yes, and your no, no; What this comes from the evil one (Matthew 5.37).

Demotivation is the absence of reason for holding something. It can be experienced in several instances of our life. Sometimes, is generated by the negative words that we hear from others and end up piling up in our hearts.
Nehemiah was a leader of the Jewish people from 445 BC he helped rebuild the wall and doors of Jerusalem, restoring their means of Defense, as well as coordinating other reforms. However, from the start faced opposition that could have discouraged and taken to shut down before it even begins, that great work.
In one of the attacks, Nehemiah suffered three subtle advances. His opponents did not use physical weapons but words. First, they gave her a false invitation of friendship, to take advantage of it. As a result, were not invented a story about your character, which also had no effect. Finally, paid religious mislead him and make him make a mistake against God, but Nehemiah realized the trap.
Those people tried to demotivate you gossip or rumors, which could have shaken. It is not without reason the Bible James alert 3.8 (b): the language "is an evil, full of deadly poison unmanageable". Negative criticism, intimidation and ridicule can lead anyone to demotivation. But Nehemiah knew why he was there and what he should do. So, ignored those words, answering that he could not stop what I was doing to argue with them, asking God for strength to continue the work and that you acted in relation to people who were trying to intimidate him. Your judgment on the situation helped him to continue.
As well as Nehemiah, we all face discouraging words. So, it a reflection: what reaction we have before them – revenge or wisdom? Winning such words was an exercise not to be involved by them and not allow them to grow.
ISB
To not to get discouraged in front of a gossip or rumor, you should just ignore them.

Deus e Nós / God and We

Deus e Nós
Leitura bíblica: Apocalipse 1.8,12-18
____________________________________

God and We
Bible Reading: Apocalypse 1.8,12-18

Happy the one who reads the words of this prophecy and happy those who hear and keep what is written in it, because the time is near (Apocalypse 1.3).

When reading the Bible, specifically Revelation, we see texts that move a lot with our imagination, because before such descriptive exuberance often don't understand what actually God wants to tell us. After all, everything is in the future and we believe that will happen only competes, because after all it is the word of God. There are many interpretations and discussions on these texts, and many wanting to prove their points of view; but the messages go beyond our understanding. God does not fit in our limited mind, otherwise he would not be God.
However, in today's reading, calls me a lot of attention: the unimaginable God's sovereignty. A God creator of all, fair, pure, Holy, omniscient, omnipresent, powerful, sovereign, strong, but it has so much love to the point of giving us the opportunity to become his adopted children through Jesus Christ; a God who chooses to your only son out of love for us!
When really we can get a sense of our almost insignificance and that nevertheless are important to God; When we open our eyes to figure out who is this God so magnificent and all his achievements, there is no other option except in prostrate on your knees and worship him. He loves us! He wants us to your side! It's amazing to remember that despite all our rebellion against the creator, despite our flaws and falls so frequently even when trying to live righteously, obey your teachings and act or react correctly, it continues to sustain and guide us by your holy spirit.
Enjoy this moment, meditate in your life, in all the good and bad events, look to your back, observe nature, your family, recognize your place in this universe and be amazed to see how God has already done in your weak willed life!

Never understand God, but we can return the your love.
