Procrastinar / Procrastinating

Procrastinar
Leitura bíblica: Neemias 1.1-11
____________________________________

Procrastinating
Reading biblical: Nehemiah 1.1-11
____________________________________
Sir, your ears be attentive to the prayer of this thy servant ... Make today your servant be successful (Nehemiah 1.11b).

The majority of Brazilians is a master of leaving everything to the last minute: study for the contest on the last day, declaring the income tax at the last minute, vote at the last minute and giving up their rights at the last second. Not to mention in the affairs related to the Kingdom of God: they always want to leave to the last moments of life. In general the human concern is to solve personal issues, while your relationship with God grows. The fact is that many people try to have a fun and enjoyable life for all youth, imagining that only when they are well elderly, close to death, will need to get and please God. It is procrastinating. The word comes from the Latin procrastinare, which is the Union of pro (in front) and crastinus (for tomorrow). IE: "curl".
It is worth noting that procrastination is very different from laziness: while the last is to avoid work, the first is, for example, have many tasks to do and leave them for the last time. Procrastination is related to a divergence between the intention to work and the real action's work. We can say that there are even addicted to the feeling of procrastinators term bursting: just leave everything to the last minute because they like the adrenaline rush of urgency. The text today speaks of Nehemiah, a man who has not procrastinated: amid news of a town beset by great misery and contempt, he cried, prayed, fasted (verse 4), but also arranged and acted (verse 11). The action of Nehemiah was effective, efficient and effective: in just 52 days, rebuilt all the wall of Jerusalem (Nehemiah 6.15).
As well as Nehemiah, we need today to seek first the Kingdom of God, and your righteousness, in the certainty that whatever you need will be added (Matthew 6.33).

Convite / Invitation

Convite
Leitura bíblica: Mateus 9.9-13
____________________________________
____________________________________
O relato do convite feito a Mateus é fascinante.

Invitation
Reading biblical: Matthew 9.9-13
____________________________________
I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners (Matthew 9.13b).
____________________________________
The report of the invitation made to Matthew is fascinating. One day, as he always did, Matthew headed to your workplace, where they kept those who by taxing them there passed. We don't know how much he had already heard about Jesus before this episode, but so this makes it a very incisive invitation, "follow me", there's a very convinced of Matthew, who "got up and followed him."
Then, in the casa de Matthew, a meeting in which they had a meal, accompanied by other publicans (tax collectors as the Matthew) and other classes of "sinners". The publicans were not at the time a very good reputation, because often were corrupt in your work. So, it was very often the Association: "publicans and sinners".
Didn't take long for the Pharisees question Jesus duty for eating with those people. His reply, somewhat enigmatic, dish and is "are not those who are healthy who need a doctor, but the sick" (verse 12). Jesus is being ironic with its interlocutors. I wasn't trying to say that there were some people perfectly healthy, you don't even need the help of a doctor. I was stating that there are people who are aware of the need to be helped and the severity of your condition.
Many times, the problem of the human being is not just your SIN and consequent State of spiritual weakness, but the fact that you don't understand that urgently needs the intervention of the only doctor that can take care of your soul. Many religious authorities of the time of Jesus were like this; many people in our day as well.
As long as we deem sufficiently sinners, don't understand how lacking the grace of God we are. That's why Jesus finishes off by stating: "I have not come to call the righteous (or those who are righteous), but sinners."
CK
We are not justified by us we find fair, but only for Jesus, you know how much we are sinners.

Nova Criatura / New Creature

Nova Criatura
Leitura bíblica: Êxodo 2.11-14
____________________________________

New Creature
Reading biblical: Exodus 2.11-14
____________________________________
You've stripped the old man with their practices and whether the new coated, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of your Creator (Colossians 3.9b-10).
____________________________________
I often say to my husband, in jest, that he was fortunate to meet me after I found the Christ. Maybe who lived with me before that you don't understand and say: "But you've always been an uptight person, good, of character". I also considered myself as well, but the word of God says that anyone who is in Christ is a new creation (2 Corinthians 5.17) and need to abandon the old nature (Colossians 3.5-10). The standard of our society is ephemeral. We note that in fashion: what was beautiful in the summer before last is tacky in this. So, can we really consider good and exactly what is so labeled?
The divine pattern is another: God has well-defined rules, because your Word is immutable and eternal. The character of the Christian must be in accordance with this standard. If we commit our lives to Christ, we need new practices and attitudes. The one who stole doesn't make more (Ephesians 4.28). Yes, but that should change that that never practiced acts reprehensible by society? Talk with harshness, speak with more softness; If it was greedy, no longer; If fooled people with false promises, don't be like that. And so on ...
To view a scene perhaps revolting in your perception, Moses rushed killing a man, yielding to a momentary anger. But the Bible reports after he was "meek, more than all the men who had on Earth" (Numbers 12.3, ara). So, how to explain that a man who once committed murder can be considered tame? Certainly this meekness came over time, since Moses walked with God, learned from and about him and was transformed by the Lord. As for me, I have no doubt how God made me and that there is still much to be transformed. And you, want to be transformed too? Surrender to Christ!
