SALMO 126

“Aquele que sai chorando enquanto lança a semente, voltará com cantos de alegria”. (Salmos 126.6)

Eu já chorei enquanto semeava. Mas também já chorei porque voltei sem os frutos da semeadura. O salmista escreve este salmo recordando o retorno do povo de Israel do exílio babilônico. Após setenta anos de cativeiro, a terra de Israel estava abandonada, o mato havia tomado conta. As cidades estavam em ruínas. Tudo tinha de começar de novo. Tudo precisava ser restaurado. E não só as lavouras e nem mesmo só as cidades, mas as próprias vidas precisavam de um avivamento espiritual.

E o povo não ficou parado, chorando: eles foram para as lavouras e prepararam a terra para o plantio da semente. É até bem provável que a semente nem fosse tão abundante. Era necessário preparar bem a terra para que cada grão semeado pudesse cair em boa terra e frutificar. O salmista observava o desprendimento do povo e compõe esse cântico que anima os corações. É verdade, diz ele, vocês estão indo para os campos chorando, mas tenham certeza de que hão de voltar com alegria, trazendo não um punhado de sementes, mas os feixes do cereal que plantaram.

O que o salmista está dizendo é mais do que otimismo. Com este cântico, ele oferece confiança e esperança viva. O povo está, sim, chorando, mas não fica parado e, embora esteja andando e chorando e semeando com lágrimas, voltará com cantos de alegria depois de colher em abundância. Eu quero estar entre esses. Venha comigo. O seu testemunho, ainda que silencioso, ou a sua oração por algum familiar, pode ser a boa semente que reverte em alegria, não só em seu coração, mas até onde você nem sequer imagina.

Walking and crying

PSALM 126

"He who goes out weeping while launches the seed, will return with songs of joy". (Psalms 126.6)

         I've cried while sow. But also because I came back without the fruits I wept of sowing. The psalmist writes this Psalm Recalling the return of the people of Israel from the Babylonian exile. After seventy years of captivity, the land of Israel was abandoned, the kills had taken account. The cities were in ruins. Everything had to start again. Everything needed to be restored. And not only the crops and even just the cities, but their lives needed a spiritual revival.

And the people has not stood still, crying: they went to the crops and prepared the land for planting the seed. It is even likely that the seeds were not as abundant. It was necessary to prepare well the Earth that each grain sown could fall on good soil and its fruits. The psalmist watched the detachment of the people and composes the Canticle that animates the hearts. It is true, he says, you're going to the fields, but have assured crying that they will return with joy, bringing a handful of seeds, but the sheaves of grain planted.

What the psalmist is saying is more than optimism. With this song, it gives you confidence and hope alive. The people are, Yes, crying, but doesn't get stopped and, although it is walking and crying and seeding with tears, will return with chants of joy after reaping in abundance. I want to be among these. Come with me. Leitura Bíblica: Tiago 1:19-21

Portanto, meus amados irmãos, todo o homem seja pronto para ouvir, tardio para falar, tardio para se irar.  (Tiago 1:19)

Qual de nós nunca ouviu o conselho “vá sem pressa”? Isso sempre acontece quando julgamos necessários certos cuidados. Quando os filhos saem de carro, os pais costumam dizer isso.

Podemos fazer outra pergunta. Qual de nós nunca se arrependeu de haver dito algo que não deveria? Será que o irmão de Jesus, o Apóstolo Tiago, viu alguma vez Jesus cometer esses deslizes? E olhe que foram quase 30 anos debaixo do mesmo teto!

      As recomendações sobre ouvir incorporam pureza, generosidade, interesse pela verdade. Essa postura requer certa disciplina mental. Consta que um conhecido apresentador de TV afirmou por experiência: “descobri que sempre que fico calado, acabo apreendendo alguma coisa a mais”. Devemos ter ansiedade em aprender, não em falar. A recomendação de sermos  tardio para falar requer cautela. A pressa em falar leva-nos a dizer coisas erradas, e também no tempo errado. Quando estudamos a vida de Jesus, vemos como Ele manifestou certa reserva, mesmo com todo o seu saber. No seu injusto julgamento e crucificação, o seu silencio perturbou a todos. Quando apelo houve para que falasse, e Ele tudo ouvia calado!

     A obediência a ultima recomendação de Tiago é altamente lucrativa. Ira em nenhum caso lembra excelência no caráter. Está sempre próxima da baixeza. Diríamos que essa recomendação é uma legislação para o nosso temperamento. É bem frequente alguém se confessar arrependido por ter perdido a paciência! Pressa em exigir nossos direitos nos leva a ira. Há uma promessa gloriosa para os mansos. Eles herdarão a terra (Mateus 5.5), e podemos incluir aí tanto a terra material como a celestial. Isso é colocar nas mãos de Deus os nossos direitos, onde eles receberão um cuidado bem melhor. – MJT

Bible reading: James 1:19 -21

Therefore, my beloved brethren, every man is ready to listen, to talk, 

to late late if you get angry. (James 1:19)

Leitura bíblica: Lucas14.25-33

Você viu no texto um caso semelhante citado por Jesus para mostrar o que é preciso para ser seu discípulo. Prevendo que alguns na multidão que o seguia se enganassem, mostrou que apenas "aderir" a ele não torna ninguém seu discípulo. É preciso seguir Jesus a todo custo, renunciando aos seus próprios interesses por amor a ele.

No versículo em destaque, o apóstolo João se alegrou que seus filhos na fé eram discípulos autênticos de Cristo, pois andavam na verdade da Palavra de Deus. Sem dúvida ele sabia de alguns que tomara a decisão de seguir Jesus, mas não permaneceram com ele. Não mediram o custo de segui-lo. Você talvez conheça gente levada a decisões por emoção, pressão de amigos e falta de conhecimento da verdade. Talvez ignorassem que a verdade do que Deus diz é a base da fé em Cristo. "A fé vem por se ouvir a mensagem, e a mensagem é ouvida mediante a palavra de Cristo" (Romanos 10.17) Quem quiser seguir Jesus Cristo precisa renunciar a tudo que não seja a Verdade, que é Cristo mesmo: "Ninguém vem ao Pai a não ser por mim" (João 14.6), disse ele. Quem se convencer profundamente da verdade, enfrentará o custo de "tomar a sua cruz" - a renúncia total, como Jesus mesmo fez. Quem manda agora é Cristo, mesmo se custar a perda de amigos e a oposição de parentes. Um jovem indiano ouviu o evangelho e resolveu seguir a Cristo. Isto ofendeu seus pais, que o expulsaram de casa. Bible reading: Luke14.25-33

Leitura do dia: Salmo 16

O espírito do homem o sustenta na doença, mas o espírito deprimido, quem o levantará? (Provérbios 18.14).

Aparentemente não existe nada que abale mais o ser humano do que a enfermidade. Quando estamos doentes nos sentimos pequenos, desprotegidos e assustados. Mas até mesmo na doença temos esperança quando buscamos a presença de Deus. Ele fortalece nosso espírito, nos sustentando nas piores enfermidades. Quando buscamos o Senhor e o temos ao nosso lado não seremos abalados. Deus promete nos munir de forças para suportar a doença. Ele afofa a nossa cama. A alegria da presença de Deus inunda nosso coração e como diz o v.9: “Por isso o meu coração se alegra e no íntimo exulto; mesmo o meu corpo repousará tranquilo”.
Realmente é na hora da enfermidade que temos a verdadeira convicção de que só Deus pode cuidar de nós. Mesmo se tivermos todos os recursos da medicina à nossa disposição, nossa esperança é somente em Deus. Ele realmente pode nos guardar seguros. O Salmista faz um pedido que precisamos repetir: “Protege-me, ó Deus, pois em ti me refugio”. Ele clama ao Senhor: “Guarda-me ó Deus”.
A pior doença não é a física e sim a espiritual. Quem não tem Deus sofre de uma enfermidade que abate muito mais do que qualquer outra coisa. Esta pessoa tem um espírito deprimido que derruba mais do que uma doença física.
Deus é nosso maior tesouro. Não existe outro bem maior ou comparável ao Senhor. Por isso precisamos buscar a Deus em todo tempo. Precisamos saber que Deus não nos guarda apenas na enfermidade, Ele está presente durante todo o curso de nossas vidas. Ele só oferece Sua proteção para aqueles que nele confiam de todo coração e nele se refugiam.
Davi, além de confiar que Deus podia cuidar de seu corpo, também tinha como esperança a certeza da salvação eterna a qual o libertava de toda ansiedade e temor. Mesmo o túmulo não seria um final em sua vida. Ele diz: “tu não me abandonarás no sepulcro”. Ele tinha convicção de que não permaneceria para sempre na morte.
O Senhor o susterá em seu leito de enfermidade.

In Sickness

Reading of the day: Psalm 16

The spirit of man sustains in sickness, but the spirit depressed, who will raise? (Proverbs 18.14).

Apparently there is nothing that disturb more humans than the illness. When we are sick we feel small, unprotected, and frightened. But even in sickness we hope when we seek God's presence. It strengthens our spirit, in sustaining the worst ailments. When we seek the Lord and we have on our side we will not be shaken. God promises to equip us forces to withstand disease. He softens our bed. The joy of God's presence fills our heart and as the v. 9: "so my heart rejoices and intimate rejoice; even my body will rest quiet ".
Really is in time of illness that we have the genuine belief that only God can take care of us. Even if we have all the resources at our disposal medicine, our only hope is in God. He can really keep us safe. The Psalmist makes a request that we need to repeat: "Protects me, o God, for in it me hide ". He cries to the Lord: "Protect me oh God".
The worst disease is not physics but the spiritual. If you don't have God suffers from an illness which slaughter more than anything else. This person has a spirit depressed that drops more than a physical illness.
