Perdoar? / Forgive?

Perdoar?!?
LEITURA BÍBLICA:
__________________________

– IG
O perdão elimina a distância entre as pessoas.

Forgive?!?
BIBLE READING:
__________________________
Beloved, never seek revenge, but leave it to God to wrath (Romans 12.19).
__________________________

Forgive is no easy task: when it is necessary, it is because something wounded us and profoundly affected. We suffer a lot when the offenses are those we love the most. We have certain expectations in relation to these people, and when they are not met, we feel betrayed. But whoever caused the situation, we suffer when our feelings are hurt and it is inevitable. What can change is our reaction. It's easy to feed the grief, turning it into hatred, rather than resolve the issue soon. When the offence is intentional, we believe the cause doesn't deserve forgiveness – after all, we are "victims". We don't realize that when we do not forgive what we suffer. Our life is "tied" to the person who offended us, because we are feeding bad feelings towards her.
José had every reason to be angry with his brothers, because they caused much suffering when sold as a slave. But it's amazing how José treated this situation. Decided to forgive his brothers and, when found, did not show hatred for what they did. On the contrary, he saw that God was present, driving the whole situation so that now he was an instrument to save the people and their own families from the consequences of a major drought. Forgiveness reproached them and gave him the privilege of finding his father and live with him again.
Not forgiving never bring peace. We must let Jesus acting in our lives and give him our problem, asking him to heal our wounds and traumas. Pour your life before him and let him take care of your feelings. We don't always get to forget what happened, but remember the fact without hating who caused it. Don't expect to feel like forgiving, because it will never come. Forgiveness is a decision. It costs enough effort, but it is rewarding. -IG
Forgiveness eliminates the distance between people.

Celebre! / Celebrate!

Celebrate!
Read in your Bible: Matthew 2.1-12
"Us a child is born, unto us a son is given ... and it will be wonderful, counselor, everlasting father, Prince of peace" (Isaiah 9.6).

In a recent year end, I took my two sons to the opening of the celebrations of Christmas at a Shopping Mall. There was a crowd of families at the festivity. I confess that my expectation was that at least one characteristic of Jesus were highlighted. Unfortunately the celebration of baby Jesus stayed well away. Party coordinators were celebrating Christmas, but doesn't even have the name of the birthday boy, the less stressed its characteristics.
For greater disappointment, a white beard, red suit and with a bag full of empty gift boxes, left a huge chest, stating that he would give gifts to all children. My daughter came back frustrated, because the "good old" promised and has failed.
In the face of unfulfilled promises by Father Christmas, and also by trying to take the place of Jesus, I call it "bad old man".
It is worth noting that at Christmas, until we had a "good old boy" I mean "bad old man" in the decoration of the House.
When I realized, my kids were considering how the father Christmas from the sky. Immediately I decided to crate him not to take the place of Jesus, after all, it's never too late to recognize the true meaning of Christmas.
We need to make Christmas a memorable celebration in the light of the word of God.
Today's scriptural reading, presents us with the true celebration of the Magi from the East on Christmas of Jesus. Fell down, loved it with joy and gave gold, frankincense and myrrh.
For Christmas this year, our "bad old man" is not going to be with us, but will be again stuck in the mess room, without any value. Jesus will be honored by my whole family.
Do the same you also this Christmas.
Remove from your life and your home all that overshadows the Christmas of Christ! (DMS)
Celebrate Christmas because of Jesus, not in spite of it.

(HK)
Não guarde rancor. Reconcilie-se com Deus e com o próximo!

Reconciliation
Read in your Bible: 2 Corinthians 5.17-21
"All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the Ministry of reconciliation" (2 Corinthians 5.18).

Reconcile with the spouse, with other relatives, with a friend, a neighbor or someone else, always is good and necessary. Some people carry grudges, resentment, anger and bitterness for a lifetime, because someday was offended and won't hit the wrong situation that happened between him and somebody else. Who acts like that suffers, but doesn't want to humiliate and even forgive or be forgiven.
It is important that people get reconciled among themselves, is a secluded life, no family and no friends, is not ideal. God created us to live in communion, and not isolated.
There is one more necessary and more important super reconciliation than any other.
Is reconciliation with God.
We all live by nature, broken with God (condition called "sin") and there is only a means to return to communion with him: believe in Jesus Christ as Savior and receive him as Lord of our lives.
At Christmas, we commemorate the birth of Jesus. He was born to reconcile us with God!
Isaiah 59.2 says, our sins separate us from God and therefore he also can't hear us.
It is important to reconcile us with God-we can't afford to be apart of God or he doesn't hear our prayers.
Jesus Christ came into this world to lead us back to God!
In 1 Peter 3.18, we read that Jesus Christ suffered for our sins once and for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring us to God.
God reconciled us with you through Jesus Christ, but also tasked us to promote reconciliation with each other, so I reconcile with God and with people who have conflicts.
Take others to be reconciled with God and each other. (HK)
Don't hold a grudge. Reconcile with God and with the next!
