Vitória / Victory

Vitória
Leitura bíblica:
_________________
Eles avançariam e expulsariam estas nações, e Deus daria a vitória a Israel.

Victory
Bible reading:
_________________
When the Lord, your God, make them get on Earth, for which you are going to take possession, he shall cast out from before you (...) seven Nations greater and stronger than you. ... Don't be afraid of them! (Deuteronomy .18 7.1)
_________________
Moses is saying the new generation of Israelites that they would take possession of the land promised by God. He warns that would face Nations larger and stronger than them, but that they shouldn't be afraid of them, because God would fight for them. They advanced and drive these Nations, and God give the victory to Israel. I think this was a great comfort to the children of Israel, because the challenge was too great.
What is a great challenge for you in your life? Something you have to face, but you're afraid? What appears to be impossible to achieve? I believe that when we are in situations like this, the first step is to pray and ask God if what we want to do is in fact of his will for our life. Once this is confirmed, the next step is to strengthen spiritually and also prepare themselves properly to face the challenge: whether it's a university entrance examination, study and strive to learn the materials; If is the search or to change a job, understand this craft that you are looking for, preparing better; If you're having surgery, follow all the recommendations of medical preparation; If it's a trip, knowing where you're going.
The strengthening required comes from the spiritual relationship with God: reading the Bible and talk to him in prayer, seeking to discern his will. The important thing is that we do our part and God will do his part.
What God expected and demanded more of the people of Israel was obedience. This was to guarantee that they would win in wrestling. They should be faithful to God. This also goes for us. No matter the challenge that we have ahead of us, the important thing is to remain faithful to the Lord and trusting in him.

Cegos / Blind

Cegos
Leitura bíblica:
_________________

Blind
Bible reading:
_________________
Sir, we want to open our eyes (Matthew 20.33).
_________________
The text we read shows us two blind men asking for the mercy of Jesus Christ. It's in the Bible, Lamentations of Jeremiah 3.21-23 that we all depend of the mercies of God and they renew each morning. You already know them? To try them, just have a sincere relationship with God!
How many times people are blind by family traditions and religion, personal convictions or other placements that convinced to accept everything they say.
Who's in this situation must also have their eyes opened by Jesus Christ. He didn't come to preach religion. He came to bring spiritual salvation to people, show the way to the Father (God the father), lead transformation to daily life of each person and for relationships to each other. Finally, Jesus Christ came to show a new way of life in all aspects.
The two blind men were touched by Jesus, they see and then followed him. That's what needs to happen today too people with spiritual blindness we talked about above. But the important thing is wanting. Jesus asked the two blind people what they wanted, and they replied: "see again". Of course Jesus already knew what they wanted, but he wanted to hear it from their mouths, so they really take a position.
Today many want to continue in their spiritual blindness. Know, hear, and maybe even read the Bible, but remain spiritual blind simply because settled in his convictions or are afraid to commit to Jesus.
I don't know in what situation you find yourself spiritually, however, I want to encourage you to review their concepts and fasten them in the word of God, which was not made religion A or B, but for all followers of Jesus Christ and to all those who believe in God.

Perfeição / Perfection

Perfeição
Leitura bíblica:
_________________
Contaminações apenas escondidas continuam a causar males.

Perfection
Bible reading:
_________________
To be perfect is perfect as the heavenly father of you (Matthew 5.48).
_________________
Nobody is perfect! We all agree with that (especially when we are caught in our own flaws). And now this verse highlighted warrants a perfect even as God himself? Does Jesus not here demanded too much? No one can! In addition, the text today speaks of a strange rituals that are not practiced by Christians, but they served to atone for transgressions unconscious: someone did something forbidden without knowing and needed to do that.
But it's my fault if I did wrong? Let's think a little: when we make mistakes, we have created a problem. Anything longer as it should and the result will be bad-too much or too little, it doesn't matter. This creates a kind of debt with the victim of the error and with God who made everything very good. Then it makes no difference if it was intentional or not – someone has to pay the debt for which the problem is eliminated.
In a way one can even say that debt and guilt are the same thing. According to the biblical text, the person should repair the damage it caused (v 16), but also offer a sacrifice to show which recognized offended the creator with it – then forgive him, eliminating that evil. For the Israelites at that time, the sacrifice was mainly a practice of what we might call "spiritual disinfection".
Jesus could throw that challenge of perfection because he paid for all our sins or debts when he died for them on the cross. That settles the clutter that we caused to our faults. What remains is to expose them so they can be removed as a matter of fact. Just hidden contamination continue to cause evil. This exhibition is called to confess your sins -God's forgiveness so the deletes. And, of course, the damage must be repaired as far as possible. By doing so, we allow God to transform our lives toward perfection he desires.

Our perfection becomes possible by the grace of God.

Espere / Wait

Espere
Leitura bíblica:
_________________
_________________
No texto lido, Tiago desafia a paciência.

Wait
Bible reading:
_________________
Are also patients and strengthen your heart, because the coming of the Lord is at hand (James 5.8).
_________________
The text reads, James challenges the patience. The reason presented for patience is special: the second coming of Jesus Christ. This detail is crucial.
How we wait for the Lord's return in the future determines our way of living in the present. Who doesn't wait for the Lord lives as if eternity here. Runs out trying to find something that makes sense. Don't you realize that life passes quickly and the existential emptiness remains. Who wait on the Lord have their strength renewed every day, staying tight with God despite circumstances. It is patience. Be patient is not being passive, as many think. Is persevere. It's not up to God, even when you can't feel your act and guide.
Look at the examples of the text. The first is the farmer awaits the Earth produce the harvest, waiting for the rain, the climate right at the stations. It can sow and care, but have to wait patiently until the harvest. He knows that this will come. We are not told what to expect is easy, but it is necessary. Secondly, there is talk of the judge who is already at the door. Here James points out that the coming of the Lord is near. Why does it matter and stay prepared. Not worth replacing the eternity with God by some apparent good times here. Wait a little longer. You're almost there!
The third example is the perseverance of job. It is important to reaffirm: be patient is not being passive. Is persevere. For this it is necessary to read and study also the chapters 3 to 31 of the book of job, and not just the beginning and end of the book. So we won't see Job quiet, but someone who questions, including God. He doesn't do it for God, but defiance against because you want to persevere in it, not giving up God, after all.
That patience and perseverance strengthen your heart! In front of you are living today, wait on the Lord.

Não desanime / Don't be discouraged

Não desanime
Leitura bíblica:
_________________

Don't be discouraged
Bible reading:

[Paul and Barnabas have strengthened the disciples and encouraged] to remain in the faith, saying: it is necessary that we pass through many tribulations to enter the Kingdom of God (acts 14.22).
_________________
Many think that faith will only be stimulated in moments of victory. Clearly it is easier to believe that we will succeed when all is well passing. In periods of calm we feel safer and more confident: it seems that ever waver. Find that God is with us when we're well is almost obvious, natural.
However, in times of struggles can we really measure the size of our faith. When we find ourselves overwhelmed by situations to which we see no solution and we have no choice but to wait in the Lord is that we will know if we are strong or not, and if our perseverance is real.
Only we will evaluate whether or not we signed in the word of God and if our trust is in the Lord if we are challenged to live significant difficulties or even impossibilities. With God's help, it is through them that we can grow.
If the help of God to defend, our patience will be tested-we will know if we have little enough. Also we will measure how much we believe in eternity, IE, that perspective we evaluate situations. When we give more importance to the coming Kingdom than to our earthly life is really live despite the circumstances and they don't we shall cumber. We know that, whatever happens, our reward is in heaven. As long as we live here, before a problem is over another is already emerging, making our constant struggle, but with your order already determined.
So, don't be discouraged! The best time to exercise is in the midst of conflicts; solidarity, amidst the needs; faith, amid the impossibilities and fidelity, in the midst of the temptations.
