A mensagem do sofrimento / The message of suffering

A mensagem do sofrimento
Leitura bíblica:
_________________

The message of suffering
Bible reading:
_________________
Shall know that I am the Lord, who did not threaten in vain to bring this disgrace on them (Ezekiel 6.10).
_________________
When reading this passage of the Bible, we were wondering what ever the Jews who heard these threats could imagine how those words would be important to us about of 2,500 years later. Today we know that those who escaped began to remember God.
The text warns us about the severity of the disobedient to God (wickedness or SIN). All the suffering announced there for the people of Israel that resulted. So, this excerpt from Ezekiel has much to teach us about the suffering. The phrase: "and they will know that I am the Lord" (verse 10) reminds us that the moments of suffering there are also for approaching God. In fact, not always sin is the cause of suffering. God can allow it for us wanting more, and then the suffering will be an act of love of God. Some of those Israelites were spared, dispersed by Nations, "remember me", says the text. It also encourages us to remind us of the Lord at all times. After all, he didn't abandon even when we left him.
It is still appropriate to remember the suffering it causes to the heart of God to see his chosen people seeking other gods to worship. Easily God's people was seduced to do what the people around. For us this danger also exists. The money, the fame, recognition, vanity easily become gods and object of worship. We started to do everything in their function. As God knows the human heart. And how good is he telling us through biblical passages such as this!
The text urges us to extract always spiritual lessons of suffering, and that could make it a precious spiritual blessing.

Suffering is not good. Good is that the love of God can use it for our own good.

Anjos / Angels

Anjos
Leitura bíblica:
_________________

Angels
Bible reading:
_________________
His angels [God] will give orders about [the one that makes the most high your shelter], for the cover in all his ways (Psalm 91.11)
_________________
In today's text, we see the performance of two angels, which rid the family of lot of the destruction of Sodom. The angels have their role in the plans of God, yesterday and today, even though many think no more than legend. They don't have retired, but remain in the service of God. Then we heard reports of accidents or tragedies in that all conclude that there were supernatural deliverance, divine intervention. Will the angels of God were not in action?
I've read reports of deliverance through angels. I want to tell one that happened to a relative of mine, who's already dead, but my father and I went to visit my aunt and I know with her the details of that episode. My uncle was a servant of the Lord, living in Curitiba and used their resources to burn CDs from a Christian mission and distribute them in Brazil. One day, when his son who lived in Joinville visited him, he invited him to help you in choosing a computer and CD writer. My uncle didn't use check or credit card, then passed the Bank to get the money from the savings account.
When they were entering the store, were surprised by two bandits who demanded the money. Father and son, hands raised, didn't react. Suddenly, the gunmen changed their physiognomy. They looked for one and to the other several times and said: "Who are you?" One of them said: "I see Jesus Christ and an Angel in front of me" and, to his partner: "Let's go, we can't Rob them." Simply let them, without taking the money.
Yes, the angels of God are still on a mission from God! If desired, he uses them to protect those who live with him. In addition, Christians have the constant presence of the Holy Spirit in their lives. It's a privilege to be the son of God!

Obedecer / Obey

Obedecer
Leitura bíblica:
_________________
_________________
Desde muito cedo, a palavra obedecer me soava dura.

Obey
Bible reading:
_________________
If in fact you obey the law of the Kingdom found in Scripture that says: "love your neighbor as yourself", will be doing the right thing (James 2.8)
_________________
From a very early age, the word obey me sounded harsh. Heard in school the teachers saying that we, students were disobedient, because we didn't do the homework and we are not respected school rules. I felt very bad when I heard that. The student life was dictated by the rules of the school.
Already the author of Ecclesiastes had many other life experiences. Let yourself go by the passions of youth, took the best in food and wine, sought to be a great scholar. Was a famous statesman. And what did he learn? All this is useless, it's just a race behind the wind (Ecclesiastes 1.14).
We learn to live in different ways, the wise author of this book and I. He learned by experience that the only thing that brings advantage in life is the fear of the Lord, for this he concluded his book with the words of reading today. I learned as a student who fear the law and teachers made me respect them. First we're obeying the law for fear of the consequences, but then, when we understand that she was given to protect us, we understand also the love of who made it.
It may seem strange that something as hard as fear can do bring out a feeling so pure and sweet as love. That's why I fear not only fear, but also admire, respect and, when it comes to God, love.
We're afraid of what we don't know. We respect those who have power over us. Already worship is an attitude that sprouts of confidence, faith. God gives us his law in order to limit and castrate our will, but to protect us from what can harm us. This attitude of God's love for us is the confidence. We want to obey God not by fear or obligation, but for trusting him. He knows better than you what is good for us.

Ele entende / He understands

Ele entende
Leitura bíblica:
_________________

He understands
Bible reading:
_________________
We have confidence and we get close to the divine throne, where is the grace of God. There we will receive mercy and find grace whenever we need help (Hebrews 4.16).

I once went to visit a mother who had recently lost his son, a child, a hit by car. Turned off, she was angry with God. It's hard to say something to someone in this condition, because the pain is so great that nothing seems to make sense, but the fact of being present sometimes that's enough.
That woman had a lot of questions and I tried to explain that the choices we make in life have consequences and end up hitting other people. The accident has not demonstrated that God doesn't care, on the contrary: he is always available to everyone and wants to help us and comfort. Then, she said: "you can talk about it because I don't know and don't even understand the pain I'm feeling." Relying on divine wisdom, I said: "you're right, I don't even know, but Jesus knows exactly how you feel. So you can go to him with his pain because he will understand it. He gave his life so that we could have a relationship of love with God ". He experienced what it means to be human and suffer!
There are events that we don't know how to explain it or what actions we should take, and temptations that seem very hard to resist. However, whatever the situation – grief, disappointment, deep sadness, depression-can go to Jesus, tell him how you feel and ask for your help, rather than pull away from him. The text today shows that Christ faced all kinds of temptation, was humiliated and suffered so unimaginable, but emerged victorious. He listens, understands each of our feelings and also our weaknesses. And, because he had achieved victory, we can come through him to the throne of God, where we will find what we read in verse highlighted. So count today Jesus everything you feel.

Morada divina / Divine abode

Morada divina

Assim, o Senhor visitou aquele recinto.

Till I find a place for you ... (Psalm 132.5a)
_________________
Psalm 132 speaks of David, King of Israel, and his desire to build a temple to God. When the people of Israel walked from Egypt to their land, had a tent as sanctuary and the visible presence of God there gave him security. David was a warrior and security was important to him. It's easy to understand that he wanted a fixed shrine in the capital. But David also loved you very much, Sir, that hadn't many tribulations. So, build a House for him would also be an act of gratitude.
Several words of this Psalm shows he prophesies the coming of Christ. Just as God was present in the tent of the Israelites, Christ wants now dwell in us through his spirit – and thereby ourselves will be your sanctuary and Christ will be our security in the difficulties of life. David didn't know it, but you have to reach what he both sought.
Two examples of the presence of God gives us in practice: the missionaries Paul and Silas were flogged and imprisoned. The authorities thought they were disturbers of order. At midnight they decided to perform a worship of praise to God. So, the Lord visited that room. Just be spiritual environment favourable to the presence of the Lord and the Holy Spirit will make your site address. Read in the Bible the rest of the story in Chapter 16 of the book of acts.
The other example is a Christian who in a game suffered a harsh marking an opponent Defender. Was beaten up the whole game. At the end, in a split ball, one attacker was injured and the Christian asked him. The quarterback said in an interview that didn't sleep all week, with remorse. He crashed into someone God dwelt.
Who are we to be addresses of the Lord? But this is why Christ came, you know?
