Soldados / Soldiers

Soldados

The Israelis wandered for decades in the wilderness, the way of the land promised by God to their ancestors. As the divine guidance, built a shrine and worship rituals were necessary for the spiritual formation of people, coordinated by priests and Levites chosen and trained for the service. In addition to taking possession of the land of Canaan, Israel would be instrument of judgment of God on the people who inhabited it. These due to their wickedness, would have to be expelled from there. In the text of today we see that the people should be counted. The largest of 20 years would form the Israeli army. In addition, it was necessary to meet and organize families to which the land was divided among them. All this was part of preparations for the fulfillment of the divine promise.
This report illustrates very well the Christian life. When someone delivers your life to Christ, is new goals (and please God). The beauty of the Christian life is the great significance that she is. In addition, the Christian is now part of the divine army as a soldier of Christ (2 Timothy 2.3). Although freed from slavery to his rebellion against God, he is not yet the promised land-the sky. Until you get there, lives in a world dominated by contrary to standards of God and inhabited mostly by people who do not know God. Christian soldier's fight is not against these people, but against the Lord that, whether we like it or not, they obey, and also against his own tendency to evil. Just as happened with the Israelis, the journey is not easy, but full of battles along the way. However, as they, the sons of God can be sure that the divine promises will be fulfilled.
Be part of the army of God is a privilege that results in gratitude and praise. You're already in their ranks as a soldier of Christ?

No matter who we are and what we do: we all have problems in life. What is the problem that you are experiencing right now, or maybe you just passed? The text you read earlier talks about a situation in which a Roman officer was passing. He had a servant paralyzed who suffered terribly. Suffer not only when things are not right with us, but when someone we hold dear is going through difficult situations. At the time I write this message, I see a social network that the brother of a person is known. Other shares of his sister who is hospitalized. How many other situations that grieve the heart happen right now! What to do in those hours? It would be hard if we didn't have nowhere else to turn, but fortunately we have someone who can and want to help us. The author of the book of Hebrews makes us an invitation: "Let us to the throne of grace with all confidence, in order to receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need" (Hebrews 4.16). The officer searched for the one who could help him and found the assistance needed: his servant was healed. It took just one word-Yes, just one word. There is nothing impossible for our God. There are many reports of people who have been helped by Jesus. You can also take the help that you need to say just a word on the matter. How much suffering we face in life because we want to care for her alone. A lot of things we can do, but is that really can help you appeal. Don't fight just with their own forces. Let Jesus take part of your life. He wants to eliminate many of the burdens that weigh on their shoulders, and those who are not eliminated himself will load for you.

Jesus Christ wants to help you in your difficulties.

Escolha / Choice

Escolha
Leitura bíblica: Lucas 10.38-42
_________________
Maria escolheu a boa parte, a qual não lhe será tirada (Lucas 10.42b).
_________________

Choice
Bible Reading: Luke 10.38-42

Mary has chosen the good part, which will not be taken (Luke 10.42 b).

The life is very hectic. No matter the age, most are busy all the time. It is increasingly common to wake up and think: I can't do everything I need. I have to choose between essential activities, important, urgent, and, who knows, superfluous, but I'd like to perform.
Yes, life is full of choices and concerns, and race. But will all that appears to do is necessary? I don't think so! Many are the activities, but few are important. So, we have to be wise in the choices and take care that the multiplicity of tasks do not stop us from doing what actually requires.
In Luke 10.38-42 found two sisters receiving Jesus and his disciples in the House. Special occasion that required effort of all. It was a rare event and everything should be well managed. Marta, with great intentions, unfolded in the service and, concerned, just worked (verse 41). Meanwhile, seated at the feet of Jesus, Mary heard his teachings. On that painting, Marta could not resist and complained, asking for help. But, surprisingly, Jesus showed that Maria was right in choosing. There was nothing more important than hear it. As Jesus said: she has chosen the good part.
As Martha and Mary, we have a lot to do. But take care of what is urgent without neglecting the important. And, above all, do not let us get away from tasks than it is necessary: listen to Jesus. Marta was with Jesus at home and lost opportunity, worried about the tasks. Maria was more sensible. We are also putting our devotional moments in a prominent position. I don't know how is your schedule, I don't even know what time would be most suitable for you hear Jesus from the Bible, but I know that among the many choices of the day, this can't stay out, because it is necessary, is the good part you can't stay aside because of other occupations.

Stop the stop to hear what Jesus has to say: this is a good choice.
