O Anjo do Senhor fica em volta daqueles que o temem e os protege do perigo (Salmo 34.7, NTLH).

Vivemos situações nas quais fica claro que Deus está nos livrando de perigos. Mas também há coisas que acontecem sem que saibamos, e assim somos libertados de perigos desconhecidos. Nada acontece por coincidência: Deus comanda o universo, vê tudo e sabe de tudo.

Certo dia, viajei de carro a trabalho. Chovia na estrada; o carro derrapou e ficou descontrolado, e só por interferência do Senhor consegui parar no acostamento, depois de ziguezaguear pela pista escapando de bater em vários carros e de atropelar um ciclista. Graças a Deus pelo seu cuidado!

Em outra ocasião, levei meu filho até a universidade em outra cidade e, ao retornar pela rodovia, senti necessidade de orar a Deus. Comecei pensando em minha filha que me esperava; depois de breve oração, passei a interceder pelo filho que ficara em Campinas. De forma livre, consciente e convicta, estava dizendo ao Senhor: “Pai, eu te agradeço por mais um dia em minha vida…”, quando vi uma roda solta vindo em direção ao meu carro. Ela caíra de um caminhão que vinha no sentido contrário, e agora pulava como um cabrito, cruzando o canteiro central. Vi que bateria de frente comigo e desviei o carro instintivamente; naquela fração de segundo, vi o pneu “quicar” a dois metros do carro e… cheguei a baixar a cabeça antevendo o acidente iminente, mas o pneu passou por cima do veículo. Pelo retrovisor, vi aquela roda indo para o mato. Emocionei-me, reconhecendo que Deus me livrara.

Lembrei-me de quantas vezes já tive vontade de orar por alguém em certos momentos. Dias antes, seguira o impulso de orar pela minha outra filha. Não sei o que estava acontecendo com ela naquele momento, ou perto dela, mas sei que Deus a estava protegendo de perigos que nunca saberei. Louvado seja o Senhor!

We live in situations where it is clear that God is getting rid of hazards. But there are also things that happen without us knowing, and thus we are released from unknown dangers. Nothing happens by coincidence: God runs the universe, sees all and knows all.

One day, I traveled by car to work. It rained on the road; the car skidded and went out of control, and for Lord's interference managed to stop on the side of the road, after zigzagging around the floor escaping hitting several cars and ran over a cyclist. Thank God for your care.

On another occasion, I took my son to College in another city and to return the highway, I felt the need to pray to God. I started thinking about my daughter who was waiting for me; After a brief prayer, I intercede for the child that will be in Campinas. Free, conscious and convinced, was saying to the Lord: "Father, I thank you for another day in my life ...", when I saw a loose wheel coming toward my car. She had fallen from a truck that was coming in the opposite direction, and now hopped like a goat, crossing the central patch. I saw that battery on me and I swerved the car instinctively; in that split second, I saw the tire "bounce" to two meters from the car and I came to settle down in anticipation of the impending crash, but the tire went over the vehicle. In my rearview mirror, I saw that wheel going into the Bush. Thrilled me, recognizing that God I hadn't.

I remembered how many times have I wanted to pray for someone at certain times. Days before, had followed the impulse to pray for my other daughter. I don't know what was going on with her at that time, or close to it, but I know that God was protecting her from dangers that I will never know. Praise the Lord!

Não digam em seu coração: “A minha capacidade e a força das minhas mãos ajuntaram para mim toda esta riqueza” (Deuteronômio 8.17).

Quando um jogo de futebol termina e os jogadores são entrevistados, é comum um deles afirmar que venceu o jogo “graças a Deus”. Isso ocorre em especial quando são campeões. No entanto, já vi muitos jornalistas esportivos criticarem esta atitude, pois, segundo eles, quem correu, se cansou e ganhou foi o atleta, por seus próprios esforços.

O texto de hoje traz um anúncio do profeta Oseias ao povo de Israel: o castigo pela infidelidade viria. Eles estavam dando graças aos deuses reverenciados pelos cananeus por causa dos frutos das colheitas. Segundo eles, as boas plantações e a prosperidade de Israel eram resultado de suas ofertas e sacrifícios a estas entidades (chamadas no texto de “amantes”). Então, para mostrar quem realmente derramava sobre eles estas dádivas, Deus ia deixar de mandá-las. O povo estava atribuindo honra e gratidão a quem não eram devidas. Eles deveriam agradecer ao Senhor, que lhes dava a chuva, o sol e tudo mais para que tivessem uma boa colheita. Da mesma forma, estão corretos os jogadores quando exaltam ao Senhor e lhe agradecem pela vitória, pois é ele quem dá saúde, força e disposição para que deem tudo de si dentro de campo.

Nós também precisamos reconhecer que é do Senhor que vem toda boa dádiva. Quando a cura vem, agradecer ao Deus que dá entendimento a médicos e fabricantes de remédios. Ao Senhor que nos dá forças para lutar pelo pão de cada dia. Em vez de atribuir a honra a nós mesmos, devemos honrar ao Senhor Jesus, que responde nossas orações segundo sua vontade. Muitas pessoas afirmam que foram abençoadas por causa de sua oração; no entanto, ao fazer isso, atribui-se à oração em si um poder que não existe – o poder está em Deus, a quem ela é direcionada. Portanto, reconheça que Deus é o Senhor sobre tudo, veja seu agir no dia a dia e viva de forma agradecida a ele.

When a football game is over and the players are interviewed, one of them claiming that won the game, "thank God". This occurs in particular when they are champions. However, I've seen many sportswriters criticized this attitude, because, according to them, who ran, got bored and won was the athlete, by their own efforts.

The text today brings an announcement from the Prophet Hosea to the people of Israel: the punishment for infidelity would come. They were giving thanks the gods revered by Canaanites because the fruits of the harvest. According to them, the good crops and the prosperity of Israel were the result of their offerings and sacrifices to these entities (called in the text of "Lovers"). Then, to show who actually drew on them these gifts, God was going to stop them. The people were attributing honor and gratitude to those who were not due. They should thank the Lord who gave them the rain, the Sun and all that to get a good harvest. Similarly, are correct players when exalt the Lord and thank him for the victory, because it is he who gives you health, strength and willingness to give it your all on the pitch.

We also need to recognize that it is the Lord who comes every good gift. When the cure comes, thank God that gives understanding doctors and drug manufacturers. The Lord gives us strength to fight for daily bread instead of assigning to honor ourselves, we must honor the Lord Jesus, that answers our prayers according to your will. Many people claim they were blessed because of your prayer; However, in doing so, the prayer itself a power that does not exist-the power is in God, to whom it is directed. Therefore, recognizing that God is Lord over all, see your act in everyday life and live so grateful to him.

Decisão

Leitura bíblica: Joel 3.11-17

Multidões, multidões no vale da Decisão… (Joel 3.14a).

____________________________________

O mundo de hoje é o retrato do desmantelamento das famílias. O relacionamento entre pais e filhos está longe de ser dos melhores. Quando os pais tomam decisões corretas de como educar e cuidar de seus filhos haverá benefícios, não só para eles, mas também para o seu futuro, pois se tornarão pessoas bem-sucedidas e marcantes no contexto social. Mas isso só acontecerá se houver um padrão saudável para a educação, e o melhor de todos é a palavra de Deus, registrada na Bíblia. No entanto, como apenas a minoria recorre a ele, a falta de amor e o desrespeito ao próximo prosperam. O afastamento cada vez maior dos padrões ensinados por Deus só faz aumentar problemas de todo tipo no mundo inteiro: violência, miséria, abandono, etc. Isto é prenúncio do fim!

O profeta Joel trata do dia do juízo do Senhor. Por enquanto, o ser humano ainda tem liberdade para trilhar seus próprios caminhos, e eles estão cada vez piores. Por isso, o profeta narra calamidades que ocorrerão no mundo, a necessidade de preparar-se e lutar para tomar a decisão correta no meio de tantas atrocidades e abandono da fé em Deus, e avisa as multidões de que um dia irão ao “vale da decisão” (imagem do lugar em que Deus julgará o mundo). Este será o fim, quando todos os habitantes da terra verão quem Deus é de fato. Naquele momento não haverá mais oportunidade para mudar de ideia em relação ao Senhor.

Esse dia ainda não chegou, embora pareça estar próximo. Por enquanto, é possível conhecer o Deus que ama o homem e quer que todos estejam reunidos em sua casa. No sacrifício de Jesus na cruz, Deus já proveu tudo para abrir esse acesso à sua presença para todos os que creem nele, o amam e lhe obedecem. Não há motivo para esperar até amanhã: basta ter fé hoje. Jesus é o caminho.

Decision

Multitudes, multitudes in the Valley of decision. (Joel 3.14a).

The world today is the portrait of the dismantling of the families. The relationship between parents and children is far from the best. When parents take right decisions of how to raise and care for their children there will be benefits, not only for them but also for your future become successful people and in social context. But that will only happen if there is a healthy standard for education, and best of all is the word of God, recorded in the Bible. However, as only a minority uses it, the lack of love and the disrespect to the next thrive. The increasing remoteness of the patterns taught by God only does raise problems of all kinds in the world: violence, poverty, abandonment, etc. This is harbinger of the end!

The Prophet Joel about the day of the Lord. For the time being, the human being still have freedom to go their own ways, and they are getting worse. So, the Prophet tells calamities that will occur in the world, the need to prepare and fight to make the right decision in the midst of so many atrocities and abandonment of faith in God, and warn the crowds that one day Iran the "Valley of decision" (image of the place where God will judge the world) . This will be the end, when all inhabitants of Earth who God summer is indeed. At that time there will be no more opportunity to change your mind about the Lord.

That day hasn't arrived yet, although it seems to be next. For now, you can know the God who loves the man and wants everyone to be assembled in your home. In the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, God has already provided all for open access to your presence for all who believe in him, love him and obey him. There's no reason to wait until tomorrow: just have faith today. Jesus is the way.
