Leitura Bíblica: Atos 23:1-11

Na noite seguinte, o Senhor, pondo-se ao lado dele, disse: Coragem! (Atos 23:11 a).

O apóstolo Paulo foi preso, acusado, enfrentou julgamento e ameaças de morte. Não porque fosse criminoso, mas só pelo fato de pregar o evangelho de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo. No texto bíblico de hoje observamos até um tumulto por causa da presença de Paulo, que exigiu intervenção militar para garantir sua segurança.

Ele tinha todos os motivos para ficar com medo e intimidado, mas na noite seguinte recebe a visita do Senhor Jesus, que o anima e lhe aponta novas tarefas para o futuro. Isto se reflete em palavras de encorajamento nas diversas cartas escritas pelo apóstolo Paulo, como por exemplo: “estejam vigilantes, mantenham-se firmes na fé, sejam homens de coragem, sejam fortes” (I Coríntios 16:13), e também “Deus não nos deu espírito de covardia, mas de poder, de amor e de equilíbrio. Portanto, não se envergonhe de testemunhar do Senhor, nem de mim, que sou prisioneiro dele, mas suporte comigo, os meus sofrimentos pelo evangelho, segundo o poder de Deus” (II Timóteo 1:7-8).

Deus não abandona quem se mantém fiel a Ele, busca conhecer sua vontade e lhe obedece. Isto não nos isenta de dificuldades e sofrimentos – o próprio Paulo relata muitas aflições pelas quais passou, e no fim acabou executado, mas também confirma a fidelidade de Deus. Confira em II Coríntios 11:23-33, por exemplo. Foi pela fé e a coragem que Josué levou o povo de Israel a conquistar a Terra Prometida, e Davi conseguiu vencer o gigante Golias. Com certeza eles se apropriaram da promessa de Deus que diz: “Ninguém conseguirá resistir a você todos os dias da sua vida. Assim como estive com Moisés, estarei com você; nunca o deixarei, nunca o abandonarei” (Josué 1:5).

Coragem, pois; a promessa de Deus para todos os cristãos é: “Nunca o deixarei, nunca o abandonarei. Podemos, pois, dizer com confiança: o Senhor é o meu ajudador, não temerei. O que me podem fazer os homens?” (Hebreus 13:5,6) – MÁRIO MIKI.

Deus nem sempre guarda seus filhos dos sofrimentos, mas sustenta-os dentro deles.

Courage!

Bible reading: Acts 23: 1-11

The next night, the Lord, putting themselves next to him, said: Courage! ( Acts 23:11 ).

The Apostle Paul was arrested, charged, faced trial and death threats. Not because it was criminal, but only because of preaching the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. In today's Scripture we observed until a riot because of the presence of Paul, which required military intervention to ensure their safety.

He had every reason to be afraid and intimidated, but the next night receives the visit of the Lord Jesus, that animates and points out new tasks for the future. This is reflected in words of encouragement in the various letters written by the Apostle Paul, as for example: "be vigilant, keep firm in the faith, be courageous, be strong men" (1 Corinthians 16:13), and also "God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and balance. Therefore, do not be ashamed to testify of the Lord, nor of me his prisoner, but support me, my sufferings for the Gospel according to the power of God "(II Timothy 1: 7-8).

God does not forsake those who remain faithful to him, seeking to know his will and obey. This does not exempt of difficulties and hardships – Paul himself recounts many afflictions for which passed, and at the end was executed, but also confirms the faithfulness of God. Leitura Bíblica: Gênesis 18:22-33

(Cristo) vive sempre para interceder por eles (Hebreus 7:25).

Minha única irmã, já falecida, está no céu porque um dia, ainda jovem, aceitou Cristo como salvador. A carta com essa noticia chegou-me longe de casa e encheu-me de alegria! Dei graças a Deus por isso, e também porque eu vinha orando por ela sempre – e recebi a resposta! Nossa leitura hoje mostra como é importante a intercessão. Abraão orou pelos habitantes de Sodoma, para que muitas vidas fossem poupadas da destruição. Sabia que seu sobrinho Ló morava lá e se desviara do Senhor, por isso intercedeu por ele e outros em Sodoma. Ló e suas duas filhas escaparam com vida; porém a esposa de Ló foi condenada porque desobedeceu à ordem de Deus e olhou para trás.

O cristão deve orar sempre para que seus queridos se reconciliem com Deus. Você ora pelos seus a exemplo de Abraão? Jesus orou antes de morrer implorando que seu Pai guardasse os seus. E acrescentou: “Rogo também por aqueles que crerão em mim por meio da mensagem deles” (João 17:20). Segundo o versículo em destaque, hoje Cristo continua essas orações junto ao Pai, eternamente vivo para interceder. Somente Ele seria capaz disso, sabendo da vida de cada um entre os milhões no mundo todo. Sempre acordado, ora por todos em todos os fusos horários, pois está sempre presente para todos em torno do planeta. Deus nos convoca para cooperar com Ele em interceder por todos os homens (I Timóteo 2:1). Todos precisam da reconciliação mediante o único Mediador entre Deus e os homens, Jesus. Faça uma lista daqueles que Deus põe no seu coração para orar. Quando Deus responder, risque o nome, ou, se a pessoa se converteu como resultado, anote-o e ore para que cresça na fé. Tanta gente precisa da intercessão! Nossos familiares, parentes, o pastor e as pessoas encarregadas na igreja, outros cristãos, missionários nos seus campos e os milhões sem Cristo ao nosso redor e no mundo afora. Intercede

Bible reading: Genesis 18:22 -33

(Christ) lives always to intercede for them (Heb. 7:25).

Talvez você conheça a história daquele desempregado que, depois de procurar por toda parte um lugar onde pudesse ganhar o seu sustento, acabou procurando o dono de um zoológico. Quem sabe teria algum trabalho para ele? Contudo, ali também não havia nenhuma vaga. “Mas”, disse o dono, “tenho uma proposta diferente: há duas semanas morreu o nosso gorila. Ele era uma grande atração para os visitantes. Se você quiser fazer o papel de gorila, eu pago bem. Tenho aqui uma fantasia de gorila e ninguém perceberá que não é de verdade”. Claro que o homem aceitou – precisava sustentar a família. Começou o trabalho e deu-se muito bem. Com muita habilidade agarrava-se às grades. Um enorme tronco inclina-se por cima da jaula do leão ao lado. Ele subia naquele tronco como um verdadeiro malabarista. As pessoas paravam para ver as artes do gorila. Até que, num descuido, escorregou do tronco e caiu na jaula do leão. O leão deu um urro. Ele se assustou e tentou aproximar-se das grades da jaula ao subir. Mas o leão aproximou-se dele. Desesperado, ele gritou: “Socorro!” E o leão respondeu: “cale a boca rapaz, senão nós dois estamos desempregados!” Fantasias de ambos os lados… Foi exatamente assim que estava o coração enganoso de Ananias e Safira, dos quais lemos na leitura de hoje. Na igreja todos os conheciam como cristãos. Na aparência eram tidos como pessoas que buscavam agradar a Deus. Mas lá no fundo do coração as coisas não estavam claras. Na verdade usavam uma “fantasia” de cristão. Até que veio o dia em que a máscara caiu. Deus revelou a farsa. Nem precisavam ter dado todo o valor da venda de sua casa. Ninguém o havia pedido. Mas queriam demonstrar quão piedosos eram e mentiram. Estavam tentando enganar aos homens, mas diante de Deus a máscara cai. Conhecia a história do gorila? A vida de fé é coisa séria: não tente brincar com Deus. Ele olha além das aparências e vê o coração.

Leitura Bíblica: Salmos 103:13-18

Como uma correnteza, tu arrastas os homens; são breves como o sono; são como a relva que brota ao amanhecer… mas, à tarde, murcha e seca (Salmos 90:5).

Um menino ia de uma caixa para a outra numa loja de balas, tentando decidir qual delas iria comprar. Sua mãe, cansada de esperar, disse: “Apresse-se e gaste o seu dinheiro! Nós precisamos ir”. O menino respondeu: “Mas mãe, eu só tenho uma moeda, por isso preciso gastá-la com cuidado”.

Uso esta história para falar da nossa vida: Quantas vezes não nos damos conta de que possuímos apenas uma? Como estamos gastando o que recebemos das mãos de Deus? Temos o mesmo cuidado que o menino teve com a sua moeda? A Palavra de Deus nos fala da brevidade da nossa existência. No texto de hoje você leu que a nossa vida é como a relva ou a flor do campo, que com um vento se desfaz e nem se percebe onde estava (versículo 15-16).

Contudo apesar de nossa vida ser curta, podemos aproveitá-la muito bem. O escritor de Eclesiastes procurou as mais diversas coisas na sua vida, mas por fim chegou a uma conclusão: “Tema a Deus e obedeça aos seus mandamentos, porque isso é o essencial para o homem” (Eclesiastes 12:13). Essa é a melhor maneira de desfrutar a vida que recebemos de Deus: ao seu lado e praticando sua vontade podemos viver de modo que valha a pena, mesmo que seja breve.

Conheci uma pessoa muito querida, que já tinha mais de sessenta anos quando entregou sua vida a Jesus. Depois disso viveu somente mais cinco anos. Era uma pessoa alegre e otimista, sempre grata a Deus, mesmo em sua enfermidade. Ela se lamentava apenas de uma coisa: ter vivido tantos anos sem Deus. Queria ter conhecido Jesus ainda jovem. Mas como não é possível voltar no tempo, aproveitou muito bem seus últimos anos, dedicando-os ao Senhor e proclamando muito bem seus últimos anos, dedicando-os ao Senhor e proclamando com muita alegria o que Ele havia feito em sua vida. Não sei como você está vivendo. Contudo, se você quer gastar sua vida com sabedoria, então viva com e para o Senhor Jesus Cristo! – MARCOS PASSIG.

Bible reading: Psalms 103: 13-18

As a stream, you drag the men; are brief as sleep; are like the grass that sprouts at dawn ... but, in the afternoon, wilt and dry (Psalms 90: 5).

Use this story to speak of our lives: how often we don't realize that we have only one? As we are spending what we received from the hand of God? We have the same care that the boy had with its currency? The word of God tells us of the shortness of our existence. Yet despite our life be short, we can take advantage of it very well. The writer of Ecclesiastes tried many different things in his life, but finally came to a conclusion: "fear God and obey his commandments, because this is essential for the man" (Ecclesiastes 12:13). This is the best way to enjoy the life we receive from God: beside him and practicing your will can live so that worthwhile, even if it is brief.

It was a cheerful and optimistic person, always grateful to God, even in his illness. She complained only of one thing: having lived so many years without God. Wish I had known Jesus at a young age.
