Acerto! Leitura bíblica: Apocalipse 20.11-15  _________________ Cada um de nós dará contas de si mesmo a Deus (Romanos 14.12). _________________

Hoje termina o prazo de entrega da declaração anual de rendimentos ao “leão”. Muitos se previnem e cumprem o prazo conforme as normas. Outros deixam tudo para a última hora, com os atropelos e problemas típicos.

Há um outro acerto de contas que todos faremos um dia, e apenas uma vez. Não com o leão da Receita Federal, mas com o Leão de Judá, Deus mesmo. Não haverá isentos: todos estaremos diante do Supremo Juiz (2 Coríntios 5.10). Você está preparado? O prazo para o acerto anual com a Receita Federal é conhecido, e até se admitem atrasos. Mas para o grande acerto de contas com Deus não haverá nenhuma prorrogação. Todos devem estar prontos: ninguém sabe quando será (Marcos 13.33-37).

Também não há como sonegar dados ao Supremo Juiz: Deus conhece tudo de nós (Salmo 139; Provérbios 15.3; Apocalipse 20.12). Doações e ofertas nada valerão: só será aceita a fé na graça de Deus (Efésios 2.8). A única oferta válida será a de seu coração a Jesus Cristo.

Como estão as suas dívidas espirituais? Não deixe o grande dia surpreender você com rancor, mentiras, ofensas, orgulho, idolatria, imoralidade, etc. Confesse tudo desde já a Jesus, pois o seu sangue apaga todas essas dívidas (1 João 2.1-2). Na declaração de bens, esqueça riquezas como dinheiro, imóveis, ações, etc. Deus não está interessado nisso. Os bens que devem constar dela são valores espirituais como aqueles em Gálatas 5.22-23 – confira. Não haverá chance de parcelar dívidas. Se o seu nome não for encontrado no Livro da Vida, a consequência será a punição eterna (Apocalipse 20.15). Ninguém poderá incluir dependentes na declaração – o acerto é individual. Eles mesmos também terão de se apresentar a Deus. Já para os que se prepararam e tiveram suas dívidas perdoadas por Jesus, único mediador entre Deus e nós (1 Timóteo 2.5) e têm seu nome inscrito no Livro da Vida, o prêmio será a vida eterna no Reino de Deus (Mateus 25.34).

Portanto, é indispensável estar preparado para esse acerto de contas!

Setting! Bible Reading: Revelation 20.11-15   _________________ Each of us will give accounts of himself to God (Romans 14.12). _________________

Today ends the deadline of the annual declaration of income to "lion". Many will prevent and comply with the time limit in accordance with the standards. Others leave everything to the last minute, with the violations and typical problems.

There is another reckoning that we're all doing one day, and only once. Not with the lion of the Irs, but with the lion of Judah, God even. There will be free: we're all on the Supreme Judge (2 Corinthians 5.10). Are you prepared? The deadline for the annual arrangement with the IRS is known, and even if they admit delays. But for the great reckoning with God there will be no extension. Everybody must be ready: no one knows when will (mark 13.33-37).

Also there is no way to evade the Supreme Judge data: God knows all of us (Psalm 139; Proverbs 15.3; Revelation 20.12). Donations and offers nothing worth: will only accept the faith in God's grace (Ephesians 2.8). The only valid offer will be to your heart to Jesus Christ.

How are your spiritual debts? Don't let the big day surprise you with rancor, lies, insults, pride, idolatry, immorality, etc. Confess all to Jesus, because his blood erases all those debts (1 John 2.1-2). In the Declaration of goods, forget wealth as money, real estate, stocks, etc. God is not interested in that. The assets to be included in it are spiritual values as those in Galatians 5.22-23-check. There will be no chance to pay debts. If your name is not found in the book of life, the consequence will be the eternal punishment (Revelation 20.15). No one may include dependants in the declaration-setting is individual. They will also have to submit to God. For those who are already prepared and had their debts forgiven by Jesus, only one mediator between God and us (1 Timothy. 2.5) and have your name inscribed in the book of life, the prize will be the eternal life in the Kingdom of God (Matthew 25.34).

Therefore, it is essential to be prepared for this reckoning.

Juventude / Youth

Juventude Leitura bíblica: Eclesiastes 12.1-14  _________________ Desde a minha juventude, ó Deus, tens me ensinado, e até hoje eu anuncio as tuas maravilhas (Salmo 71.17). _________________

A vida vista por um jovem é de um futuro longo pela frente; já aquela vista por um idoso é de um curto passado que ficou para trás.

Juventude é uma fase da vida em que as descobertas, as incertezas, as decisões, os planos e os sentimentos estão em constante movimento, mas é passageira, assim como as demais fases da vida. Assim, quando nos damos conta, já estamos na velhice.

Na leitura bíblica de hoje, o autor relata alguns sintomas da velhice: a visão que começa a falhar (verso 2), os dentes que caem (verso 3), os ouvidos que trabalham menos (verso 4), os cabelos brancos (verso 5) e, por fim, a morte (verso 7).

Portanto, a vida terrena é transitória. Ela passa, e precisamos usar bem os nossos dias aqui, de tal maneira que glorifiquemos a Deus com nossas ações: honestidade, integridade e bons exemplos, e que também produzamos bons frutos. As prioridades da vida devem estar em Deus e não nas coisas terrenas que passam rápido por nossos dias e se deterioram ao longo do tempo.

É preciso lembrar de Deus durante a juventude, antes que fiquemos velhos e sem disposição para cumprir a vontade dele, pois o que aprendemos na juventude dificilmente esqueceremos mais adiante. Servir a Deus desde a juventude vale sempre a pena, pois na velhice ainda produziremos frutos para as gerações vindouras, deixando neste mundo os ensinamentos divinos que foram significativos para a nossa existência.

Tudo o que nos importa na juventude e nas demais fases da vida passará, mas o relacionamento com Deus permanecerá. Isto sim é essencial para a vida humana. Estar com ele desde a juventude é precioso.

Youth Bible Reading: Ecclesiastes 12.1-14   _________________ Since my youth, o God, you have taught me, and until today I announce your wonders (Psalm 71.17). _________________

Life as seen by a young is a future ahead of us; have that view by a senior citizen is a short past left behind.

Youth is a stage of life in which the findings, uncertainties, decisions, plans and feelings are in constant motion, but is fleeting, as well as the other stages of life. So when we realize, we're already in old age.

In today's scriptural reading, the author recounts a few symptoms of old age: the vision begins to fail (verse 2), falling teeth (verse 3), the ears that work less (verse 4), white hair (verse 5) and, finally, death (verse 7).

Therefore, the earthly life is transitory. She goes, and we need to use our days here, in such a way that glorify the God with our actions: honesty, integrity and good examples, and which also produce good fruit. The priorities of life must be in God and not in the earthly things that go fast for our day and deteriorate over time.

Need I remind of God during his youth, before we all get old and unwilling to fulfill his will, because what we've learned in youth are unlikely to forget later. Serve God from his youth is always worth because in old age still produce fruit for generations to come, leaving this world divine teachings that were significant to our existence.

All what we care about in our youth and in other stages of life will pass, but the relationship with God will remain. This is essential for human life. Be with him since youth is precious.

Morte / Death

Morte Leitura bíblica: Salmo 90.1-6  _________________ Os anos da nossa vida chegam a setenta, ou oitenta para os que têm mais vigor, entretanto, são anos difíceis e cheios de sofrimento, pois a vida passa depressa e nós voamos (Salmo 90.10) _________________

Para quem está nos primeiros anos de vida, pensar em setenta ou oitenta anos parece uma eternidade. Eu estou na metade desse caminho e percebo que esses anos passam mais rápido do que imaginava. Aqueles que já chegaram aos setenta ou oitenta afirmam que tudo passou numa velocidade surpreendente. E se ouvirmos Deus falar sobre o assunto, somos informados que nossa vida é breve como o sono, ou seja, iguala-se a uma noite que passamos dormindo ou à relva que germina  brota pela manhã, mas à tarde murcha e seca.

A brevidade da nossa vida pode assustar algumas pessoas. A morte é vista como o fim de sonhos. Tem-se a impressão de que tudo acabou. Mas será que a nossa vida é apenas isso? Aqui neste mundo a morte é o fim de tudo. Contudo, ela não é o fim. A morte é a porta para a vida eterna. Neste mundo, chegamos para viver um curto período. Mas Deus não nos criou apenas para isso. Nós fomos criados para a eternidade. E lá a nossa vida não se limita a setenta ou oitenta anos, mas é ilimitada – não tem fim. Diante disso, a morte pode ser encarada com mais naturalidade e com menos desespero. Para os que permanecem, fica a dor e a saudade por terem perdido alguém querido, mas para aquele que se foi fica a certeza da eternidade.

No entanto, preciso destacar que existem mais realidades após a morte: vida eterna com Deus ou morte eterna sem Deus, ou seja, céu e inferno. Para aquele que não creu em Jesus e sua obra salvadora e nem se arrependeu da sua culpa de viver uma vida sem Deus, seria melhor viver para sempre aqui neste mundo. Mas para aquele que creu em Jesus e entregou sua vida a Ele, a morte é apenas o começo de uma vida que hoje é inexplicável, pois “olho nenhum viu e mente nenhuma imaginou o que Deus preparou para aqueles que o amam” (1 Coríntios 2.9)

Death Bible Reading: Psalm 90.1-6   _________________ The years of our lives come to 70, or 80 for those with more force, however, are difficult years and full of suffering, because life moves quickly and we fly (Psalm 90.10) _________________

For those who are in the first years of life, thinking about 70 or 80 years seems an eternity. I'm in the middle of the road and realize that these years go by faster than I thought. Those who have already reached the 70 or 80 claim that everything happened in a surprising speed. And if we hear God speak about it, we are told that our life is brief as sleep, i.e. equals to a night spent sleeping or grass that germinates springs in the morning, but afternoon withered and dry.

The shortness of our lives can scare some people. Death is seen as the end of dreams. One has the impression that it's all over. But is that our life is just that? Here in this world ... death is the end of everything. However, it is not the end. Death is the door to eternal life. In this world, we get to live a short period. But God did not create us just for this. We were created for eternity. And there our life is not limited to 70 or 80 years old, but is unlimited – no end. Given this, death can be seen with more ease and less despair. For those who remain, is the pain and longing because they lost someone dear, but for the one who is gone is the certainty of eternity.

However, I need to point out that there are more realities after the death: eternal life with God or eternal death without God, that is, heaven and hell. For he who does not believe in Jesus and his saving work and not repented of his guilt to live a life without God, it would be better to live forever in this world. But for those who believed in Jesus and gave his life to it, death is just the beginning of a life that today is inexplicable, because "no eye has seen and no mind imagined what God has prepared for those who love him" (1 Corinthians 2.9)

Falhas humanas / Human error

Falhas humanas Leitura bíblica: Juízes 1.16-27  _________________ Disse-lhe Jesus: “Não lhe falei que, se você cresse, veria a glória de Deus?” (João 11.40) _________________

À primeira vista, a leitura de nosso texto em Juízes parece fria e sem sentido, mas não é assim. De pronto podemos notar quatro senões, ou, quatro mas. Essa adversativa está oculta, mas presente no contexto. Judá destruiu, mas não totalmente. A tribo de Benjamim permitiu aos jebuseus continuar morando em Jerusalém. A tribo de José precisou de ajuda humana, e o ajudador construiu uma cidade em Israel. A passagem oferece ricos ensinos.

Fé genuína e vitoriosa é fé em Deus e em união com Deus. Por outro lado, fé pequena ameaça a vitória. Vemos também que, quando a fé sucumbe a alguma prova dura, algumas promessas deixam de ser alcançadas. Quando juntamos a promessa com nossa experiência pessoal, ela tende a ser uma fé mais duradoura. Todavia, não podemos colocar nossa experiência acima da pessoa de Deus – ele é soberano e a nossa experiência só tem valor debaixo do comando divino – e mesmo com promessas e experiência, ainda é possível darmos lugar à dúvida.

A garantia para essas ações das tribos de Israel está em Deuteronômio 20.1. Deus disse ali o seguinte ao povo, pela boca de Moisés: “Quando vocês forem à guerra contra os seus inimigos e virem cavalos e carros, e um exército maior que o seu, não tenham medo, pois o Senhor, o seu Deus, que os tirou do Egito, estará com vocês”. Vemos que os fatos comprovaram que os líderes e as tribos ou esqueceram essas palavras ou não creram nelas.

Todos os percalços na vida espiritual têm como origem as falhas humanas. Eis o ensino que pode passar despercebido nas entrelinhas.

Como é difícil admitir isso. Se Deus não falha, quando somos derrotados a falha foi nossa. Ainda bem que Jesus jamais falha e sempre nos revela a glória de Deus.

A falha é originada na desconfiança, e esta sempre parte do homem.

Human error Bible Reading: Judges 1.16-27   _________________ Jesus said to her: "didn't I tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?" (John 11.40) _________________

At first glance, reading our text in Judges seems cold and pointless, but it's not. Suddenly we notice four snags, or four but. This opponent is hidden, but present in the context. Judah destroyed, but not quite. The tribe of Benjamin allowed the jebusites continue living in Jerusalem. The tribe of Joseph needed human help, and the helper built a city in Israel. The passage offers rich teachings.

Genuine faith and victory is faith in God and in Union with God. On the other hand, faith little threat to victory. We also see that when faith succumbs to some hard proof, some promises are no longer met. When we promise with our personal experience, it tends to be a longer-lasting faith. However, we cannot put our experience above the person of God – he is sovereign and our experience has only value under the divine command – and even with promises and experience, it is still possible to give way to doubt.

The warranty for these actions of the tribes of Israel are in Deuteronomy 20.1. God said there the following the people, by the mouth of Moses: "When you go to war against your enemies and see horses and chariots and an army bigger than yours, do not be afraid, for the Lord, your God, who out of Egypt, will be with you". We see that the facts proved that the leaders and tribes or have forgotten those words or not believed them.

All the mishaps in life are spiritual origin human failures. Here's the education that can pass unnoticed between the lines.

How hard it is to admit it. If God does not fail, when we defeated the fault was ours. I'm glad that Jesus never fail and always reveals the glory of God.

The fault is originated on suspicion, and this always part of man.

Foco único Leitura bíblica: Mateus 6.19-24  _________________ Escolham hoje a quem irão servir (Josué 24.15). _________________

Um estudante de artes marciais aproximou-se do professor e disse: “Gostaria muito de ser um grande lutador de aikidô. Mas penso que devia também me dedicar ao judô, de modo a conhecer muitos estilos de luta; só assim poderei ser o melhor de todos”. O professor disse: “Se um homem vai para o campo e começa a correr atrás de duas raposas ao mesmo tempo, vai chegar um momento em que cada uma correrá para um lado, e ele ficará indeciso sobre qual deve continuar perseguindo. Enquanto decide, ambas já estarão longe e ele terá perdido seu tempo e sua energia. Quem deseja ser um mestre, tem de escolher apenas uma coisa para aperfeiçoar-se. O resto é filosofia barata”.

Esta história serve muito bem para ilustrar a necessidade de especialização na vida profissional, mantendo um foco bem específico para assim podermos nos destacar naquilo que fazemos. Mas ela também me lembrou a passagem da leitura bíblica de hoje sobre a impossibilidade de servir a dois senhores.

Parece uma opção atraente buscar a Deus e ao mesmo tempo ir atrás dos meus interesses e paixões. John Stott diz: “Diversos arranjos e ajustes possíveis parecem atraentes. Servir a Deus aos domingos e às riqueza nos dias úteis, ou a Deus com os lábios e às riquezas com o coração, ou a Deus na aparência e às riquezas na realidade, ou a Deus com a metade de sua vida e às riquezas com a outra.” É loucura viver correndo para adorar a Deus e, com os mesmos pés apressados, correr em busca do mal: servir a dois senhores, uma hora adorando a Deus, outra adorando a própria criação.

Como um escravo não pode ter dois senhores, pois não poderia agradá-los ao mesmo tempo, não poderemos agradar a Deus se o foco de nossa vida não for servi-lo exclusivamente.

Single focus Bible Reading: Matthew 6.19-24   _________________ Choose today who will serve (Joshua 24.15). _________________

A martial arts student approached the teacher and said: "I would love to be a great fighter of Aikido. But I think you should also be dedicated to judo, so to know many fighting styles; just so I can be the best of all ". The professor said: "If a man goes to the field and begins to run after two foxes at the same time, there will come a time when each run to one side, and he's going to be undecided about which should keep chasing. While you decide, both will be away and he will have wasted your time and your energy. Who wants to be a master, you have to choose just one thing to improve the rest is philosophy ".

This story serves well to illustrate the need for specialization in professional life, keeping a very specific focus so that we highlight in what we do. But it also reminded me of a passage from the biblical reading today about the impossibility of serving two masters.

It seems an attractive option to seek the God and at the same time go after my interests and passions. John Stott says: "Various arrangements and possible adjustments look attractive. Serve God on Sundays and weekdays, wealth or God with the lips and to riches with the heart, or the God in appearance and Mammon in reality, or God with half his life and Mammon. " Is crazy live running to worship God and, with the same feet in a hurry, running in search of evil: serve two masters, 1 hour worshiping God, another loving creation itself.

As a slave can't have two masters, because it could not please them at the same time, we cannot please God if the focus of our life is not serving you exclusively.
