O melhor Leitura bíblica: Juízes 1.8-15  _________________ A mulher lhe disse: “Senhor, dê-me dessa água, para que eu não tenha mais sede, nem precise voltar aqui para tirar água” (João 4.15) _________________

Calebe sempre mostrou ser um homem de fé e visão. Quando foi espionar Canaã, apenas ele e Josué não se apavoraram com o poderio dos cananeus. Agora, em meio às lutas para a conquista daquela terra, percebeu a importância de um estímulo aos seus guerreiros. Observando os seus comandados, deve ter reconhecido o valor de ter um daqueles heróis como genro. Por sua vez, os comandados de Calebe, e principalmente Otoniel, sabiam que passar de sobrinho a genro de Calebe era uma grande promoção.

Com isso, Acsa, a filha de Calebe, poderia contentar-se com muitas terras e um marido premiado e famoso, mas ela pensou nos que viriam depois. Seriam herdeiros de um deserto. Acsa sabia o que queria: o melhor. Não apenas quantidade, mas qualidade.

Na mulher samaritana de que fala o versículo em destaque vemos a mesma sabedoria. Ela e a filha de Calebe queriam a mesma coisa: abundância de boa água, o bem sem o qual ninguém sobrevive. A mulher samaritana estava até disposta a abrir mão da água que viera buscar quando Cristo que ofereceu água melhor (confira a história toda em João 4). Tanto é verdade que correu para convidar outros a virem beber da água que ela bebeu.

Deus nos deu um presente, e esse presente lhe custou caro: Jesus, a água da vida para a alma humana, essencial para a vida eterna. Além disso, assim como a filha de Calebe beneficiou com sua conquista não apenas a ela mesma, mas sua posteridade, a mulher samaritana logo se lembrou de beneficiar também seus conterrâneos. Da mesma forma, quem hoje passa a alimentar seu espírito com a presença de Jesus em sua vida beneficiará não só a si mesmo, mas toda a sua área de influência, multiplicando o bem e a paz neste mundo tão carente desses valores. Mesmo assim, muitos ainda se contentam com o deserto. Por que haveria de ser assim conosco?

Caleb has always proved to be a man of faith and vision. When was spying on Canaan, only he and Joshua no panicked with the might of the Canaanites. Now, in the midst of the fight for the conquest of that land, realized the importance of a stimulus to his warriors. Observing its led, should have recognized the value of having one of those heroes as son-in-law. In turn, Caleb, and mainly Othniel, knew that going from nephew Caleb's son-in-law was a big promotion.

With that, Achsah, Caleb's daughter, could be content with many lands and an award-winning husband and famous, but she thought they were coming after us. Would be heirs of a desert. Achsah knew what he wanted: the best. Not just quantity, but quality.

The Samaritan woman that speaks the verse highlighted see the same wisdom. She and the daughter of Caleb wanted the same thing: plenty of good water, good without which no one survives. The Samaritan woman was even willing to give up the water that had come to pick up when Christ who offered water better (check out the whole story in John 4). So is it true that you went to invite others to come drink from the water she drank.

God gave us a gift, and that gift cost him dearly: Jesus, the water of life to the human soul, essential for eternal life. In addition, as the daughter of Caleb has benefited from his conquest not only herself, but their posterity, the Samaritan woman soon remembered for their countrymen. Similarly, who today passes to feed your spirit with the presence of Jesus in your life will benefit not only himself, but his whole area of influence, by multiplying the good and peace in this world so needy of these values. Even so, many still are content with the desert. Why would it be so with us?

Acolhidos / Welcomed

Acolhidos Leitura bíblica: João 6.32-40  _________________ Busquei o Senhor e ele me acolheu; livrou-me de todos os meus temores (Salmo 34.4, ARA). _________________

Ser acolhido é ser recebido com um abraço sincero na hora da dor, ser amparado por um ombro amigo num momento de dificuldade ou até socorrido por quem menos esperávamos na hora da necessidade. Um acolhimento assim, oportuno, resgata nossa esperança e autoestima, e restitui a alegria e a paz ao coração. Sopra novo fôlego à vida, não é mesmo?

O salmista diz no verso em destaque que Deus o acolheu e o livrou de temores que o assaltavam! Ele estava refugiado e em grande aperto quando experimentou o amparo e socorro de Deus. E nós, podemos realmente experimentar essa acolhida divina e real em nossa vida, hoje?

Se formos sinceros, reconheceremos que sempre chegamos diante de Deus em pecado, que nada mais é do que tudo o que nos afasta do próprio Deus! Caímos e erramos de muitas maneiras todos os dias e, quando vamos falar com Deus, não é possível esconder dele nada disso. Mas aí é que está o fato tão surpreendente: a despeito de termos falhado, ofendido e entristecido o coração de Deus, se o buscarmos com o coração sincero e arrependido ele nos acolhe; somos recebidos de braços abertos. E por que ele age assim?

O Pai nos acolhe por causa da sua graça derramada a favor de nós em seu Filho, Jesus Cristo! Graça é favor imerecido. Algo como você ter uma dívida impagável e alguém simplesmente quitá-la por você. Pois na cruz fomos acolhidos de braços abertos pelo Filho, que se entregou por nós, e pela graça do Pai, que pagou em seu único Filho a nossa dívida.

Isso significa que hoje, pela fé em Cristo, no que ele fez a nosso favor, você e eu fomos e podemos ser acolhidos sempre. Ele não nos lança fora nem nos rejeita! Por isso ele é o pão que dá vida ao mundo. Ele tem o perdão, a salvação, o socorro, a paz, toda a força e graça de que precisamos para viver uma vida nova, a vida eterna que só ele dá. Se você crer, experimentará.

Acolhidos em Cristo recebemos vida verdadeira: a vida eterna.

Welcomed Bible Reading: John 6.32-40   _________________ I sought the Lord and he welcomed me; freed me from all my fears (Psalm 34.4, ARA ). _________________

Be upheld is to be received with a sincere hug in time of pain, be supported by a shoulder at a time of difficulty or even helped by who we least expected in time of need. A thus, timely rescues our hope and self-esteem, and restores the joy and peace to the heart. Blow new breath to life, isn't it?

The psalmist says in the verse in which God highlight welcomed him and saved him from fears that the RAID! He was a refugee and in great grip when experienced the protection and relief of God. And we, we can really try this divine and Royal reception in our lives today?

If we are honest, we will recognize that always we come before God in sin, which is nothing more than anything in the own God! Fall and make mistakes in many ways every day and, when we talk to God, you cannot hide from him anything like that. But here's the fact that surprising: in spite of having failed, offended and saddened the heart of God, if we seek with the sincere heart and sorry he welcomes us; We are welcomed with open arms. And why did he act like that?

The father receives because of his grace poured in favour of us in his son, Jesus Christ! Grace is unmerited favor. Something like you have a priceless debt and someone simply enter it for you. Because on the cross we were welcomed with open arms by the son, who gave himself up for us, and by the grace of the father, who paid in your only son our debt.

This means that today, by faith in Christ, what he did for us, you and I went and we can always be accepted. He throws out nor in rejects. That's why he is the bread that gives life to the world. He has forgiveness, Salvation, the help, the peace, all the strength and grace we need to live a new life, eternal life that only he can. If you believe, you will experience.

Timóteo / Timothy

Timóteo Leitura bíblica: 1 Timóteo 6.11-15  _________________ Timóteo, meu verdadeiro filho na fé: graça, misericórdia e paz da parte de Deus Pai e de Cristo Jesus, o nosso Senhor (1 Timóteo 1.2). _________________

Contemporâneo do apóstolo Paulo, Timóteo era um jovem pastor, filho de mãe judia e de pai grego. A fé habitou primeiro em sua avó Loide e em sua mãe Eunice. “Que reverencia Deus” significa o seu nome. Paulo o conheceu na cidade de Listra, onde os outros cristãos davam bom testemunho dele. Ali também foi circuncidado por Paulo, que achou conveniente esse procedimento porque queria levá-lo em viagens nas quais visitariam judeus. Como companheiro e aprendiz de Paulo, teve o melhor professor possível e, depois de ser evangelista, certamente tornou-se um grande e eficiente pastor.

Para a nossa vida, Timóteo oferece uma grande inspiração. Podemos aprender bastante dele. Mesmo sendo jovem, Paulo o considerava merecedor de todo o respeito, também pelos mais velhos. Para podermos imitá-lo, vamos destacar algumas de suas qualidades e os conselhos que Paulo lhe deu.

Em 1 Timóteo 1.4, Paulo escreve sobre a necessidade de promover a obra de Deus, o que é também nossa tarefa hoje. No mesmo capítulo, o verso 18 diz que devemos combater o bom combate, mantendo a fé e a boa consciência. Seria demais? Certamente não. No sexto capítulo da mesma epístola, Paulo diz no verso 6 que a piedade com contentamento é grande fonte de lucro. A riqueza tanto almejada pelos homens será alcançada com esta receita: piedade com contentamento. Nos versos 11 e 12 do mesmo capítulo Paulo acrescenta mais alguns conselhos que certamente foram aceitos por Timóteo, fazendo com que se tornasse quem foi: “Você homem de Deus, fuja de tudo isso (cobiça) e busque a justiça, a piedade, a fé, o amor, a perseverança e a mansidão”. Na 2ª epístola, capítulo 1, verso 5, Paulo lembra Timóteo a ter fé não fingida e que possua a chama viva do dom de Deus. Paulo também recomendou no verso 13 que ele deveria reter o modelo da sã doutrina.

Timothy Bible Reading: Timothy 6.11 1-15   _________________ Timothy, my true son in the faith: grace, mercy and peace from God the father and Christ Jesus our Lord (1 Timothy 1.2). _________________

Contemporary of the Apostle Paul, Timothy was a young shepherd, son of Jewish mother and Greek father. The faith lived first in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice. "That reveres God" means your name. Paul met him in the city of Lystra, where other Christians gave good his testimony. There was also circumcised by Paul, who found it convenient to this procedure because I wanted to take him on trips in which Jews would visit. As fellow and apprenticed to Paul, had the best teacher possible and, after evangelist, certainly became a large and efficient pastor.

For our life, Timothy offers a great inspiration. We can learn a lot from him. Even though young, Paul considered him worthy of all respect for your elders, too. In order to be able to imitate him, we will highlight some of its qualities and the advice Paul gave him.

In 1 Timothy 1.4, Paul writes about the need to promote the work of God, that is our task today. In the same chapter, verse 18 says we should fight the good fight, keeping the faith and good conscience. Would it be too much? Certainly not. In the sixth chapter of the same epistle, Paul says in verse 6 that piety with contentment is great source of profit. The wealth so much longed for the men will be achieved with this recipe: Godliness with contentment. In verses 11 and 12 of the same chapter Paul adds some more advice that certainly were accepted by Timothy, causing it to become who he was: "You man of God, flee from all this (greed) and seek justice, godliness, faith, love, perseverance and gentleness." The second epistle, Chapter 1, verse 5, Paul reminds Timothy to have faith unfeigned possessing the flame the gift of God. Paul also recommended in verse 13 that he should retain the model of sound doctrine.
