Leitura bíblica: Marcos 7.1-13

Toda a terra te adora e canta louvores a ti, canta louvores ao teu nome (Salmo 66.4).

Quando queremos agradar uma pessoa precisamos conhecer o que ela gosta. É prático demais pensar que aquilo que nós gostamos é o que ela vai gostar também. Assim, erramos quando convidamos alguém para almoçar em nossa casa e fazemos o prato que nós mais apreciamos. Erraríamos menos se pensássemos no que de fato agradaria à outra pessoa.

Se fizermos esta comparação em relação à nossa adoração e às nossas programações da igreja, ficaremos surpresos em ver como nos esquecemos de pensar se realmente estamos agradando a Deus com as nossas apresentações, liturgias, pregações e até orações. Muitas vezes dizemos que o culto foi uma bênção, que foi muito agradável. Mas quem se agradou? É comum dizermos isso quando nós fomos agradados. Para nós, isso é suficiente e temos a sensação de que, se nós gostamos, Deus também gostou. Mas, muito mais do que com uma apresentação ou programação especial, Deus se agrada quando ele é o motivo de nossa atenção especial. Ele não tem prazer nos nossos rituais em si, mas em corações arrependidos e honestos.

Se fizermos uma análise sincera, a maior parte das atividades que chamamos de especiais são chamadas assim porque alguém (que não Deus) ou algo estará em evidência neste dia. Nossa principal atenção nem sempre está no Senhor. E dizemos: “Vai ser muito bom!”

Não se deixe levar por novidades espetaculares, movimentos que estão na moda, que chamam a atenção de multidões. Não quero ser radical, dizendo que não podemos mais ter apresentações musicais ou que devemos ter um culto monótono e repetitivo. Podemos nos atualizar e buscar novas ferramentas, mas o encanto da novidade nunca pode ofuscar o brilho incomparável do nosso Deus, que deve ser o centro da adoração. Que o Senhor faça de nós pessoas que o adoram de coração sincero e em todas as circunstâncias.

When we want to please a person need to know what she likes. It's too practical to think that what we like is that she will like it too. So, we missed when we invite someone for lunch at our House and make the dish we most appreciate. You mess up least think what actually would like the other person.

If we make this comparison in relation to our worship and our schedules of the Church, we will be surprised to see how we forget to think if we are really pleasing to God with our presentations, liturgies, sermons and even prayers. Many times we say that the cult was a blessing, which was very nice. But who's good? It is common to say that when we were pleased. For us, that's enough and we feel that, if we like, God also liked. But, much more than with a presentation or special programming, God is pleased when he is the reason of our special attention. He has no pleasure in our rituals, but in repentant hearts and honest.

If we make an honest analysis, most of the activities that we call special are called so because someone (not God) or something will be in evidence on this day our main attention is not always in the Lord. And we say: "it will be very good."

Don't be fooled by spectacular news, movements that are fashionable, which called the attention of crowds. I don't want to be radical, saying that we can't have musical performances or that we should have a monotonous and repetitive. We can update and get new tools, but the charm of novelty can never overshadow the incomparable brilliance of our God, that must be the center of worship. May the Lord make us people who love of sincere heart and in all circumstances.

Leitura bíblica: 1 Pedro 5.8-11

O sofrimento não brota do pó, e as dificuldades não nascem do chão (Jó 5.6).

Quem, neste mundo, não tem problemas, aflições, sofrimentos? Algumas perguntas surgem em nossa mente, como por exemplo: “Por que as pessoas que amamos sofrem?” ou “Por que eu sofro?” Nem sempre é fácil entender a razão de termos dificuldades, tristezas ou dor, das quais talvez a mais complicada seja aceitar a morte.

Frequentemente não compreendemos os planos de Deus em nossa vida nem como o Senhor age. A mente humana é limitada demais para tal entendimento, e nem sempre Deus nos revela sua obra em nós e para nós em determinado momento. Mas saiba, querido amigo leitor, que nenhuma dor ou sofrimento chega sem a permissão de Deus. Definitivamente, nenhum!

Deus tem um propósito em tudo o que acontece. Ele faz nascer algo novo e bom quando enfrentamos problemas em nossa vida. Mas ele não tem prazer em nossas dores e sofrimentos. Aliás, prometeu para os que o amam e temem que todo mal um dia acabará – na vida eterna com ele no Céu.

Para quem vive com Deus, os problemas que surgem são oportunidades de conhecê-lo melhor e chegar mais perto dele. É exatamente esta busca e proximidade com o Senhor que nos fará superar as situações difíceis, e todo esse processo nos fortalecerá espiritualmente. É por meio de circunstâncias assim que Deus molda e transforma seus filhos. Muitas vezes, ele usa os problemas para redirecionar nossa vida: podemos estar indo para um lado errado, então ele nos ajuda a voltar para a direção correta.

Se você está enfrentando um problema, por pior que ele seja, acredite: Deus está trabalhando em você. Ele quer restaurá-lo por completo. O que fará a diferença em sua vida não é o quanto você está sofrendo com seu problema, e sim quem você será após este sofrimento!

Not suffering from the dust, and the difficulties are not born from the ground (Job 5.6).

Who, in this world, has no problems, sorrows, sufferings? Some questions arise in our mind, as for example: "By that people suffer?" or "why do I suffer?" It's not always easy to understand why we have difficulties, sadness or pain, of which perhaps the most complicated accept death.

Often do not understand the plans of God in our lives even as you age. The human mind is too limited for such understanding, and not always God reveals us your work in us and for us at any given time. But know, dear fellow reader, that any pain or suffering enough without the permission of God. Definitely no!

God has a purpose in everything that happens. He bringeth forth something new and good when we face problems in our life. But he has no pleasure in our pain and suffering. By the way, promised to those who love him and fear that it will end one day-on eternal life with him in heaven.

For those who lives with God, the problems that arise are opportunities to get to know him better and get closer to him. It is exactly this search and nearness to the Lord that we will overcome the difficult situations, and this whole process will strengthen us spiritually. Is through circumstances so God molds and transforms his children. Often, he uses the problems to redirect our lives: we may be going to a wrong side, then he helps us get back in the right direction.

If you are experiencing a problem, no matter how bad he is, believe: God is working in you. He wants to restore it. What will make a difference in your life is not how you are suffering with your problem, and who you will be after this suffering!

Casamento

Leitura bíblica: Cântico dos Cânticos 4.1-7

Você é toda linda, minha querida; em você não há defeito algum (Cântico dos Cânticos 4.7).

No início do ano de 2002 eu estava junto com colegas numa sala de convivência na faculdade onde cursei Teologia. Mais um ano do Curso Bíblico Básico estava se iniciando, e novas pessoas estavam vindo estudar. De repente, meus olhos viram uma moça que acabara de chegar. Ela era muito bonita. Naquele momento foi como se eu ouvisse uma voz que dizia que ela seria minha esposa. Em março de 2004 casei com esta que ainda hoje é para mim a mais bela de todas as mulheres. De lá para cá, mesmo enfrentando dificuldades, usufruímos muitos momentos de alegria e prazer.

O casamento é uma das boas criações de Deus. Ao formar o homem, Deus logo viu que não era bom que este ficasse sozinho (Gênesis 2.18). Assim, fez para o homem, solitário em meio à vasta criação, uma companheira, alguém que lhe fosse auxiliadora. Deus não poderia ter tido ideia melhor. É verdade que surgiram dificuldades. O homem e a mulher foram expulsos do jardim do Éden, mas o casamento persistiu.

No versículo destacado pode parecer até certo exagero quando o autor fala que em sua companheira não há defeito algum. Sim, esta linda mulher tinha seus defeitos, mas o escritor não se concentra neles. Havia muitas qualidades que superavam os possíveis defeitos. Minha esposa não é perfeita e eu menos ainda, mas sobre as nossas dificuldades decidimos conversar sempre que elas surgem. Não vamos deixar que a beleza do casamento se estrague por algumas diferenças. Tornamo-nos uma só carne e não podemos rejeitar ou ignorar parte de nós mesmos. Se você está passando por dificuldades em seu relacionamento, quero motivá-lo a lutar por ele; se necessário, busque ajuda. Por outro lado, se você está feliz com seu casamento, continue valorizando este compromisso: vale a pena! E nunca se esqueça da presença de Deus em seu relacionamento: com ele todo casamento é muito melhor e resulta em muita alegria!

Wedding

Reading biblical: Song of Solomon 4.1-7

You are all beautiful, my dear; in you there's some defect (Song of Solomon 4.7).

In the beginning of 2002 I was along with colleagues in a living room in College where I studied theology. Another year of the course Basic Bible was starting, and new people were coming to study. Suddenly, my eyes saw a girl who had just arrived. She was very beautiful. At that moment it was as if I heard a voice that said she would be my wife. In March 2004 I married this still is for me the most beautiful of all women. From then on, even struggling, enjoy many moments of joy and pleasure.

Marriage is one of the good creations of God. When forming the man, God soon saw that it was good that this alone (Genesis 2.18). So, did to the man, lonely amid the vast creation, a companion, someone to be helper. God couldn't have had a better idea. It is true that difficulties arose. The man and the woman were expelled from the garden of Eden, but the marriage persisted.

In the verse highlighted may seem to some exaggeration when the author says that in your partner there is a defect. Yes, this beautiful woman had his faults, but the writer doesn't focus on them. There were many qualities that exceeded the possible defects. My wife is not perfect and I alone, but about our difficulties we decided to talk whenever they arise. Let's not let the beauty of wedding crashes for some differences. We became one flesh and we cannot reject or ignore part of ourselves. If you are experiencing difficulties in your relationship, I want to motivate you to fight for him; If necessary, get help. On the other hand, if you are happy with your wedding, keep valuing this commitment: worth it! And never forget the presence of God in your relationship: the whole marriage is much better and much joy!
