Fidelidade a Deus

Leitura bíblica: Oseias 1.1-3a

Quando o Senhor começou a falar por meio de Oseias, disse-lhe: “Vá, tome uma mulher adúltera e filhos da infidelidade, porque a nação é culpada do mais vergonhoso adultério por afastar-se do Senhor” (Oseias 1.2).

A Bíblia apresenta histórias lindas de fé, porém também mostra o quão medíocres são as atitudes das pessoas que se afastam de Deus. A maneira como Deus usa a vida do profeta Oséias, incumbindo-o de casar-se com uma adúltera, indica uma ação específica do Senhor para um período em que a infidelidade a Deus dominava vida do povo. Três elementos foram anunciados como consequência desta infidelidade: o castigo de ficar sem a vitória de Deus na vida; a ausência do amor e perdão divino; e o rompimento da relação com o Senhor e a identidade que possuíam a partir desta relação. De forma enfática, Deus usa a voz e a vida do profeta para anunciar como estava o relacionamento do povo com ele.

A voz e a mensagem de Deus ecoam nesta ação radical. Afinal, a infidelidade é um problema radical na vida das pessoas, seja em sua relação com Deus ou uns com os outros. O chamado é para voltar para o caminho da fidelidade, que trará novamente a vitória concedida pelo Senhor nas batalhas da vida, a presença do amor e perdão divino e o aprofundamento da relação com Deus de forma a resplandecer esta identidade. Por isso, ser fiel a Deus deve ser visto não apenas como um fim em si mesmo, mas como o caminho para se alegrar com a sua presença e bênçãos na vida. Se a infidelidade impacta a vida das pessoas com coisas ruins, a fidelidade marca com coisas boas. Ser fiel não é um fardo moral, mas o princípio do amor, que traz a presença, o cuidado e a direção de Deus à vida. Estamos na época chamada de tempo da graça, e cada dia é uma oportunidade para que, pela fidelidade, você possa experimentar mais Deus em sua vida e ser uma bênção para a vida de outras pessoas.

Fidelity to God

Reading biblical: Hosea 1.1-3a

When the Lord began to speak through Hosea, told him: "Go, take an adulterous woman and children of infidelity, because the nation is guilty of adultery more embarrassing by stepping back from the Lord" (Hosea 1.2).

The Bible presents beautiful stories of faith, but also shows how mediocrities are the attitudes of people who turn away from God. The way God uses the life of the Prophet Hosea, leaving him to marry an adulteress, indicates a specific action of the Lord for a period in which infidelity to God ruled the life of the people. Three elements were announced as a result of this infidelity: the punishment of being without God's victory; the absence of love and divine forgiveness; and the breakup of the relationship with the Lord and who had identity from this relationship. Emphatically, God uses the voice and the life of the Prophet to announce how was the relationship of the people with him.

The voice and the message of God echoes in this radical action. After all, infidelity is a radical problem in people's lives, whether in your relationship with God or with each other. The call is to return to the path of fidelity, which will bring back the victory granted by the Lord in the battles of life, the presence of divine love and forgiveness and deepening of the relationship with God in order to brighten this identity. Be faithful to God must be seen not only as an end in itself, but as the way to be happy with your presence and blessings in life. If infidelity impacts the lives of people with bad things, brand loyalty with good things. Being faithful is not a moral burden, but the principle of love, which brings the presence, the care and direction of God to life. We're at the time called the time of grace, and each day is an opportunity for that, fidelity, you can experience more God in your life and be a blessing to other people's lives.

É um holocausto, oferta preparada no fogo, de aroma agradável ao Senhor (Levítico 1.13c).

Os sacrifícios de animais eram uma prática comum na Antiguidade. O que os outros povos não conheciam era a diferença entre servir ao Deus Vivo e adorar a ídolos. No texto de hoje, três exigências se repetem: a perfeição do animal, a presença do fogo e o resultado: “aroma suave ao Senhor”. O ritual mostrava como o pecado (aquilo que desagrada a Deus) é hediondo diante da santidade divina e que ele só pode ser pago com a morte – no caso, do animal que sofria o castigo no lugar daquele que o ofertava a Deus. Os sacrifícios demonstraram aos israelitas o que Cristo, muito tempo depois, realizou na cruz. O Cordeiro perfeito e puro, que nunca cometeu pecado algum, ofertou a si mesmo para pagar o preço pelo pecado de toda a humanidade. Aquele que era totalmente inocente morreu no lugar dos culpados, derramando seu sangue no sacrifício mais perfeito de todos. Assim, Jesus satisfez todas as exigências do Pai para que todo aquele que nele cresse pudesse se aproximar de Deus e reconciliar-se com ele (pois o pecado separa o homem de Deus – Isaías 59.2).

Além disso, podemos ver que o adorador trazia voluntariamente sua oferta. Porém, ela não era aceita por qualquer mérito que a pessoa tivesse. Hoje também não adianta aproximar-se de Deus mencionando sua religião, boas obras ou virtudes. Nada disso impressiona o Senhor, pois “não há um justo sequer” (Romanos 3.10-12). Ninguém merece o perdão dos pecados, mas ele ocorre quando a pessoa reconhece que desagradou a Deus, arrepende-se disso e muda a direção de sua vida, entregando-a a Cristo. Assim, é preciso aproximar-se de Deus com humildade, pedindo a ele que transforme sua vida e aceite sua adoração. Isso só é possível porque Cristo ofereceu a si mesmo como sacrifício agradável diante de Deus e nos deu acesso ao Pai.

The animal sacrifices were common practice in antiquity. What other people did not know was the difference between serving God Alive and worship idols. In today's text, three demands are repeated: the perfection of the animal, the presence of the fire and the result: "smooth aroma to the Lord." The ritual depicted as sin (that which displeases God) is hideous on the divine Holiness and that it can only be paid with death – in the case of the animal who suffered the punishment in the place that the give offers to God. The sacrifices have shown the Israelites what Christ, long after, accomplished on the cross. The perfect and pure Lamb, who never committed sin, offered himself to pay the price for the sin of all mankind. That it was completely innocent died in place of the guilty, spilling your blood in sacrifice more perfect of all. Thus Jesus has satisfied all the requirements of the father that whoever it believed could get closer to God and to reconcile with him (because Sin separates man from God-Isaiah 59.2).

In addition, we can see that the worshiper brought voluntarily your offer. However, she was not accepted by any merit that the person had. Also today, there's no point in approaching God mentioning your religion, good deeds or virtues. None of this impresses you, because "there's a fair even" (Romans 3.10-12). No one deserves the forgiveness of sins, but it occurs when a person recognizes that displeased the God, repent of it and change the direction of your life, by delivering it to Christ. So, we need to approach God with humility, asking him to transform your life and accept your worship. This is only possible because Christ offered himself as a sacrifice pleasing before God and gave us access to the Father.

O amanhã / The tomorrow

O amanhã

Leitura bíblica: Jeremias 35.15-17

Josué ordenou ao povo: “Santifiquem-se, pois amanhã o Senhor fará maravilhas entre vocês” (Josué 3.5).

“O amanhã é a coisa mais importante na vida; ele vem a nós numa clara e límpida madrugada. É perfeito ao chegar e se colocar em nossas mãos. Ele sempre espera que tenhamos aprendido alguma coisa com o ontem” (John Wayne). Esta frase poética nos faz pensar que a vida oferece oportunidades diferentes a cada dia. No entanto, as melhores oportunidades serão daqueles que hoje buscam fazer o melhor. O amanhã pode ser desastroso para aqueles que andam de forma descuidada, fazendo o que é mau. Por isso, melhor que ficar preocupado com o dia de amanhã é tratar o dia de hoje com carinho, atento ao que ele quer ensinar. Não sabemos o que vai acontecer no futuro, mas quando vemos que a semente plantada no passado está sendo colhida hoje, fica claro que só colheremos bênçãos amanhã se prosseguirmos plantando coisas boas hoje.

O profeta Jeremias teve a difícil missão de pregar arrependimento ao povo. Apesar de o profeta levar as advertências enviadas por Deus à nação de Israel, ordenando que se afastassem do mal e mudassem suas atitudes (verso 15), o povo não quis escutar, e por isso recebeu o anúncio das graves consequências que sofreria por isso.

Esta é a tendência natural do ser humano. Pensamos que as atitudes erradas de hoje não afetarão o amanhã. Achamos que podemos comer à vontade sem afetar nossa saúde. Acreditamos que o importante é comprar para satisfazer nossos desejos, e que amanhã haverá dinheiro para pagar. Muitos vivem por impulso, sem qualquer preocupação com as consequências de seus atos.

É hora de pensar bem no que acabamos de ler. O único momento que temos para agir é o presente. Hoje é a sua oportunidade de plantar boas sementes para amanhã. Na época de Josué, o povo escolheu obedecer à instrução do Senhor, e foi beneficiado por isso (leia também os capítulos 3 a 6 em Josué). E você, qual vai ser a sua escolha hoje?

The tomorrow

Reading biblical: Jeremiah 35.15-17

Joshua commanded the people: "Sanctify yourself, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you" (Joshua 3.5).

"Tomorrow is the most important thing in life; He comes to us in a clear and clear morning. It's perfect to get and put yourself in our hands. He always expects us to have learned something from the last "(John Wayne). This poetic phrase makes us think that life offers different opportunities every day. However, the best opportunities will be those who today seek to make the best of it. Tomorrow could be disastrous for those who ride the sloppily doing what is bad. So, rather than worry about tomorrow is to treat today with caring, attentive to what he wants to teach. We don't know what will happen in the future, but when we see that the seed planted in the past is being taken today, it is clear that all will reap blessings tomorrow if we proceed by planting nice things today.

The Prophet Jeremiah had the difficult task of preaching repentance to the people. Although the Prophet carry the warnings sent by God to the nation of Israel, ordering away from evil and to change their attitudes (verse 15), people wouldn't listen, and so received the announcement of the serious consequences that would suffer for it.

This is the natural tendency of the human being. We thought wrong attitudes of today will not affect tomorrow. We think we can eat at will without affecting our health. We believe that the important thing is to buy to satisfy our desires, and that tomorrow there will be money to pay for it. Many live on impulse, without any concern for the consequences of their actions.

It's time to think about what we just read. The only time we have to act is now. Today is your chance to plant good seeds for tomorrow. At the time of Joshua, the people chose to obey the Lord's statement, and was benefited by it (see also the chapters 3 to 6:00 of Joshua). And you, what's your choice today?
