Cavalo de Troia / Trojan horse

Leia em sua Bíblia: Provérbios 9.13-18
"Estejam alerta e vigiem.

(MNL)
Era bom demais para ser verdade...?

Trojan horse
Read in your Bible: Proverbs 9.13-18
"Be alert and watch. The devil, the enemy of you, walk around like a lion roaring, seeking whom he may devour "(1 Peter 5.8)

It is said that, in an attack of the Greeks to the city of Troy, they left a huge wooden horse there and drove away. The Trojans, onlookers went to pick him up. The horse was hollow and was full of soldiers. Was the "Greek gift".
The devil, our enemy, also sometimes leaves us "gifts" to seduce us and, at the slightest carelessness, invades our minds to destroy us.
Yes, you may not believe in his existence, but that does not invalidate the warning in the Bible verse highlighted.
These gifts are often attractive, but as "Trojan horses" apparently harmless, apart from God and eternal life to destroy our faith, our morals and our relationships.
To not let the Greek gifts of our enemy invade us and destroy, we need to fill our minds with all that is true, noble, right, pure, lovely and of good fame (Philippians 4.8).
They say idle hands are the Devil's workshop, but if this find our minds filled with Christian virtues taught in the word of God, knock on another door with their "gifts" and will flee from us.
The Bible teaches us to examine everything and retain what is good (1 Thessalonians 5.21). We've had this concern? What kind of "gifts" have been offered? The Trojans were suspicious of the "goodwill" of the Greeks and led to destruction in your city.
Curiosity can be a weapon to make us open the door of our soul and receive the deadly "Trojans".
Be wary of gifts that the world offers, because its price can be very high.
The gift of God is different: is reconciliation with him through faith in Jesus Christ, and this is really free and reliable: "you are saved by grace, through faith, and this not from yourselves; It is the gift of God " (Ephesians 2.8). (MNL)
Was too good to be true ...?

Deus ouve! / God listen!

Querido leitor, Deus ouve.
(CM)
Clame a Deus.  Ele sempre ouvirá.

God listen!
Read in your Bible: Psalms 40.1-3
"I put all my hope in the Lord; He leaned over to me and heard my cry for help "(Psalms 40.1).

Among the many promises in the Bible, there is one that you can't forget: God hears.
Have you noticed what the psalmist said: "God has heard my cry for help?
Dear reader, God hears. Make sure the attention of God on his life. Make sure that God not only hear your prayer and your request, but considers the importance of every word. God pays attention to everything you say.
I'm going to say it again because it's very important: God not only listen to what you say, but pay attention.
There are days when your biggest wish is just to be heard by someone, isn't it?
These are occasions when you need to call for help, you need to let it out, you need to open the heart and put out his anguish. Because God hears exactly the kind of attention that you expect in these hours.
Understand what the psalmist says.
God leans in their direction and this is not a common attitude. It does this in order to heal their wounds and help you stand up from the place where you are fallen, no matter where it is, and will firm your feet secure basis, after all, the word of God says in another Psalm: "who is like the Lord, our God, who reigns in his throne on high, but leans to contemplate what happens in the heavens and the Earth"? (Psalms 113.5-6).
If you have lifelong request, been clamoring, wept and waited for help, make sure that God heard.
Maybe you haven't noticed, but God will restore the hope in your heart. He does not reject who search, so much so that he sent the son Jesus, directly to us, showing us so well how much practice loves us (John 6.37).
God never reject their cry. (CM)
Cry out to God. He always will.

Dinheiro / Money

Money
Read in your Bible: 1 Timothy 6.6-11
"Put your hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment" (1 Timothy 6.17 b).

"Who wants money?"
This question, catchphrase of a famous Brazilian presenter, never stayed unanswered who would be foolish to refuse a gift like that? I imagine that anyone who hears this question, answer (or-be honest-at least think): "I"!
Want money isn't a bad desire itself. In a society like ours, we need it to live.
A father of a family, for example, working with dedication, fulfills its responsibility when seeking to improve the income and deserves the salary gains. Saving for the future is advisable-to accumulate wealth, but to have the support, when it is no longer possible to work.
God expects from us an administration of all goods and talents that we have.
Unfortunately, it is very easy to let yourself go by ambition.
The Bible makes it sound an alarm: love the money, is the cause of all evil (v. 10). She also says that: "Whoever loves money never has enough" (Ecclesiastes 5.10).
It is at this point that we begin to make concessions and compromise our values. Integrity goes out the window. It becomes so easy to play the lottery, include some extra expenses in the company's accounting or cancel the tour promised son, to work a little longer.
Reading today indicates a very different path, to live well: the formula is mercy (devotion to God) with contentment (having enough to eat and wear).
Try to live as Jesus recommends: put the Kingdom of God and his will above all else, and you'll get what you need for living (Matthew 6.33 -the context shows that he spoke of the essential food and clothing, to home on the beach).
And, who knows, one day you can say like Paul: "I learned the secret to live happy in any situation ... having lots, or destitute. All I can through Christ which strengtheneth me " (Philippians 4.12 b-13). (DK)
Money is a good servant but a bad master.

Pobre! / Poor!

(conforme 1João 4.20)

Poor!
Read in your Bible: Proverbs 19.1-7
"Who treats the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward" (Proverbs 19.7)

Our tendency as human beings, is admiring and help those who have more resources and forget the poorest. These, according to a dictionary, can be considered people who are worthy of compassion, unhappy or sad.
The Bible warns us to be obliging towards the poor without distinction, and the verse highlighted, shows us that this has to do with our relationship with the Lord (as if it were some kind of loan with a guaranteed return).
I once had a remarkable experience. It was a day quite conducive for a get-together with friends. During the journey, something unexpected happened. When passing through the middle of a slum, realized that a poor boy out hit, but no one ".
In fact, my desire was to spend "the other side" as well as the priest and the Levite in the parable of the good Samaritan (Luke 10.31-32).
However, the text we read today, propelled me the compassion that child, coming back to help her. When I entered the premises, knew he could be accused by the hit-and-run, but I thought you were doing it for God. Anyway, the Lord had mercy on me and, in his sovereignty, has given me the privilege to help the boy, who was about to die for "lack of mercy". So, I took him to the hospital, where he was safe.
In the face of everything that's happened, I can state categorically that, whatever the circumstances, God protects and reward the one who pities the poor.
My friend, you also need to invest in helping those most in need. In addition to please the Lord with your obedience, you also can take such people to an encounter with God, showing that you care about them, because the Lord loved them first. (DMS)
If you don't love the next one I see, how can I love God, whom I can't see? (cf. 1john 4.20)
