Leitura Bíblica: I Samuel 18:1-9
…tendo os olhos fitos em Jesus, autor e consumador
da nossa fé (Hebreus 12:2).
É nas pequenas coisas que estamos sujeitos
aos maiores pecados. Às vezes basta o sucesso do nosso próximo para
alimentarmos inveja. Foi o que aconteceu com Caim, que acabou matando seu irmão
só porque Deus aceitara a oferta deste e rejeitou a sua (Gênesis 4). Mesmo nas
igrejas podemos observar isso, mas dificilmente nos enxergaremos como sendo um
Caim ou um Saul, de cuja inveja lemos hoje. Viram que perigo!
O amor
fraterno produz o contrário. Livra-nos da ganância pelas coisas materiais e
leva-nos a beneficiar ao próximo. Desperta em nós alegria com o sucesso do
próximo, e nem notamos que, com essa atitude, nos tornamos sócios de Deus!
Jônatas, de quem também lemos hoje, tornou-se um símbolo de lealdade humana sem
ter essa intenção.
Já Saul
gastava tempo e energia alimentando sua inveja enquanto Davi se ocupava com as
guerras do Senhor. A partir daí, sua vida só foi ladeira abaixo.
Davi também
era pecador, mas quando errava, na alimentava o seu pecado. Não permitiu que
este o impedisse de servir ao Senhor, mas arrependia-se e tratava de obter o
perdão de Deus assim que se dava conta dos males que cometia.
O adágio
“faz a fama e deita na cama” tem levado muitos ao fracasso. Davi não se
acomodou com o sucesso que teve diante de Saul, mas usou sua posição
privilegiada para ser útil para Deus e o próximo. É a receita de vida para o
cristão: quando descobre que pela cruz de Cristo ele alcança a paz com Deus,
tornar-se um servo dinâmico do Senhor. Ele não trabalha para que Deus o aceite,
mas por gratidão porque já foi aceito por Deus – de graça.
O perigo
que corremos é perder de vista o Senhor de quem tudo recebemos e, em vez disso,
passarmos a olhar em torno medindo-nos por aquilo que os outros são e fazem.
Com isso perdemos o rumo e também o contato com a fonte de força, paz e
alegria, que só encontramos no próprio Deus. – Manoel de Jesus Thé.

It is the small things that we are subject to the greatest sins.
Sometimes just the success of our next to feed envy. That's what happened with

energy feeding their jealousy while David dealt with the wars of the Lord. From

David was sinful, but when

regretful about yourself and trying to get God's forgiveness so that account of
the evils they committed.
The adage "does fame and
lies down in bed" has led many to failure. David has not settled with the
success he had against Saul, but used their privileged position to be useful
for God and the next. Is the recipe for the life of the Christian: when he
discovers that the cross of Christ he achieves peace with God, become a dynamic
servant of the Lord. He doesn't work for God to accept, but in gratitude
because it has already been accepted by God-for free.
The danger is that we lose
sight of the Lord, who all receive and, instead, we look around measure us by
what others are and do. With this we lost the direction and also contact with
the source of strength, peace and joy, that we find in God himself. - Manoel

достигает мир с Богом, стать динамической слуга Бога. Он не работает для Бога,

Богом-бесплатно.
Опасность заключается в том,
что мы упускаем Господа, который получают и, вместо этого, мы смотрим вокруг
