Vitória Leitura bíblica: Josué 6.1-20  _________________ Saudaremos a tua vitória com gritos de alegria e ergueremos as nossas bandeiras em nome do nosso Deus (Salmo 20.5). _________________

Os relatos históricos na Bíblia são fascinantes, pois, além de aguçarem a imaginação, também revelam como o Senhor age e conduz a História de maneira muito diferente daquela que imaginamos. Foi o que aconteceu no relato de hoje. Certamente muitos moradores de Jericó que viram os israelitas rodeando a cidade acharam que aquilo não levaria a nada e talvez até pensassem que o povo estivesse fora de si. Como imaginar que aquilo levaria à conquista da cidade de Jericó ou conduziria à vitória?

Grande foi a coragem de Josué em fazer exatamente o que Senhor havia ordenado. Ele era um homem de guerra, grande líder e apto para comandar. Em Refidim, dirigiu o exército israelita na derrota imposta a Amaleque (Êxodo 17.8-16). Ele também conhecia as condições na Palestina (Número 13-14). Entretanto, toda sua experiência e preparo não o impediram de seguir o plano de guerra apresentado por Deus. Nada do que ele sabia o impediu de ser obediente ao seu Senhor. Certamente esse foi o segredo da vitória: obediência. Quando há obediência ao Senhor, a vitória é garantida de antemão. Respeitar o plano que o Senhor apresentou a Josué também foi um desafio para o povo. Foi preciso disciplina e humildade para cumpri-lo, mas os israelitas não vacilaram e seguiram em frente, e por isso participaram dessa conquista.

O nosso Senhor tem um plano para nos levar à vitória, mas para que cheguemos lá é necessário coragem para obedecer-lhe. Foi por causa dessa coragem de Josué que Israel “serviu ... ao Senhor todos os dias de Josué...” (Josué 29.31s). A maior vitória de Josué foi obedecer a Deus e levar outros a fazerem o mesmo.

Sem dúvida, o maior plano do Senhor para nós foi enviar Jesus para morrer na cruz em nosso lugar. Esse plano pode parecer loucura aos olhos de muitos, mas aceitá-lo e crer nele fará toda diferença para vitória final.

Victory Bible Reading: Joshua 6.1-20 _________________ Greeting your victory with cries of joy and lift our banners in the name of our God (Psalm 20.5). _________________

The historical accounts in the Bible are fascinating, because, in addition to sharpen the imagination, also reveal how the Lord acts and drives the story very differently from what we imagine. That's what happened in today's report. Certainly many Jericho residents who saw the Israelites circling the city thought it wouldn't take anything and maybe even thought the people were out. As to imagine that that would lead to the conquest of the city of Jericho or would lead to victory?

Great was the courage of Joshua to do exactly what Lord had ordained. He was a man of war, great leader and able to command. In Rephidim, directed the Israeli army in defeat imposed the Amalek (Exodus 17.8-16). He also knew the conditions in Palestine (Number 13-14). However, all your experience and preparation not prevented from following the war plan presented by God. Anything he knew stopped to be obedient to their Lord. Certainly that was the secret of victory: obedience. When there is obedience to the Lord, the victory is guaranteed beforehand. Respect the plan that the Lord has presented to Joshua was also a challenge for the people. It took discipline and humility to stick to it, but the Israelis don't have faltered and moved on, and so I took part in this achievement.

Our Lord has a plan to take us to victory, but for us to get on is necessary courage to obey him. It was because of the courage of Joshua that Israel "served ... the Lord all the days of Joshua." (Joshua 29.31 s). The biggest victory of Joshua was obeying God and lead others to do the same.

Without doubt, the largest plan of the Lord for us was sending Jesus to die on the cross in our place. This plan might sound crazy in the eyes of many, but accept it and believe in it will make all the difference to the final victory.

Oração não atendida / Unanswered prayer

Oração não atendida Leitura bíblica: 1 Reis 19.1-8  _________________ Já tive o bastante, Senhor. Tira a minha vida (1 Reis 19.4c). _________________

Elias viveu intensamente sua fé e Deus realizou grandes sinais por meio dele. Certa vez ele orou e Deus ressuscitou um menino. Mas o texto de hoje mostra uma ocasião em que Deus não atendeu à sua oração. Depois de ser usado em poderosa ação do Senhor, Elias deve ter achado que o povo se reconciliaria com o Criador, mas o resultado foi uma ameaça de morte anunciada pela rainha de Israel. Elias teve medo e fugiu, escondendo-se no deserto. Ficou tão “para baixo” que orou o versículo em destaque. Em vez de ter seu pedido atendido, o anjo do Senhor o despertou para comer e receber nova missão. Se ler toda a narrativa, você verá Elias restaurado a plena forma.

O que podemos aprender com esta história? 1) Nem sempre Deus atende ao que pedimos... graças por isso! 2) Ninguém é suficientemente forte. O servo de Deus não está isento de momentos ruins, e frequentemente é preciso que alguém o cutuque para sair do “modo-ai-de-mim”. Se for seu caso, preste atenção se alguém seria o “anjo” da vez. 3) Levante-se (pare de ficar fechado em si e “curtindo a fossa”) e coma. Comer é atividade de gente viva: trate de continuar vivendo! Alimente adequadamente seu corpo, mas também sua alma com o Pão da Vida. Como Elias, talvez você precise ser estimulado a comer. Quanto mais “para baixo”, menos vontade de ler a Palavra e orar. Não se ofenda se alguém tentar incentivá-lo a comer física e espiritualmente!

Se você continuar lendo o texto bíblico verá que Deus ainda tinha tarefas para Elias. Se este permanecesse encolhido, com dó de si mesmo, deixaria de ser útil e não experimentaria o muito que o Senhor ainda faria por meio dele.

Siga o exemplo de Elias: mesmo que esteja difícil, levante-se! Aceite o desafio de servir a Deus e experimente a restauração!

Unanswered prayer Bible Reading: 1 Kings 19.1-8   _________________ I've had enough, Mr. Take my life (1 Kings 19.4 c). _________________

Elijah lived intensely your faith and God performed great signs through him. Once he prayed and God raised him a boy. But the text today shows a time when God didn't answer to your prayer. After being used in powerful action of the Lord, Elijah must have felt that the people reconcile with the creator, but the result was a death threat announced by the Queen of Israel. Elias got scared and ran away, hiding in the desert. Was so "down" that prayed the verse highlighted. Instead of having his wish fulfilled, the Angel of the Lord woke up to eat and receive new mission. If you read the entire narrative, you'll see Elijah restored to tip-top shape.

What can we learn from this story? 1) not always God answer we ask ... thanks for that! 2) Nobody is strong enough. The servant of God is not free of bad times, and often it takes someone to poke out of the "mode-ai-to-me". If this is your case, please pay attention if someone would be the "Angel" of the time. 3) get up (stop closed itself and "enjoying the pit") and eat. Eating is activity of people: try to keep living. Feed properly your body but also your soul with the bread of life. As Elias, you may need to be encouraged to eat. The more "down", less feel like reading the word and praying. Do not be offended if someone tries to encourage him to eat both physically and spiritually!

If you continue reading the biblical text will see that God still had chores to Elias. If this stay shrunk, with pity on himself, would be useful and would experience not much you would do through him.

Follow the example of Elijah: even if it is hard, get up! Accept the challenge of serving God and try to restore!

Barnabé / Barnabas

Barnabé Leitura bíblica: Atos 11.19-30  _________________ Barnabé foi a Tarso procurar Saulo e, quando o encontrou, levou-o para Antioquia (Atos 11.25-26). _________________

A biografia de Barnabé escrita por Lucas é muito breve: “Ele era um homem bom, cheio do Espírito Santo e de fé!” Que bonito resumo! Essas qualidades de Barnabé, entre outras que veremos depois, informam-nos que ele tinha qualidades e atitudes que todos nós gostaríamos de ter. De Jesus se dizia que fazia o bem, e um homem bom é alguém que se destaca em fazer o bem – um imitador de Cristo, exemplo para todos nós. Vamos iniciar este dia praticando o que é bom? Fazendo o bem? Buscando a direção do Espírito Santo e tendo fé? Não vacile.

No caso de Barnabé, isso foi tão importante que ficou registrado na eterna Palavra de Deus. Barnabé era cheio do Espírito Santo. Sinceramente, eu também quero ser cheio do Espírito Santo para conhecer os propósitos de Deus, ter os seus dons e produzir o fruto do Espírito Santo. E ser cheio de fé significa que não há espaço para cultivar dúvidas, mas ter condições de vencer todos os obstáculos que queiram dificultar nossa comunhão com Deus. O início do capítulo 13 de Atos também nos informa que Barnabé era profeta e mestre, separado e enviado pelo Espírito Santo para o trabalho missionário, tendo ainda o privilégio de ser companheiro de Paulo. Na realidade seu nome era José, um levita de Chipre a quem os apóstolos deram o nome de Barnabé (Atos 4.36), que significa “encorajador”. Provavelmente tinham motivos para isso. Homem desprendido dos bens materiais, pois vendeu um campo que possuía, trouxe o dinheiro aos pés dos apóstolos. Esta biografia, registrada em poucos versículos, é a de um servo completo de Deus. Podemos tomá-lo como modelo para nós: consagrado, desprendido dos bens terrestres, cheio de fé, dedicado à obra missionária, bom companheiro, fiel intermediário em momentos de dificuldades em assuntos espirituais, esse foi Barnabé.

Barnabas Bible Reading: Acts11.19-30   _________________ Barnabas went to Tarsus to look for Saul, and when he found him, took him to Antioch (Acts 11.25-26). _________________

The biography of Barnabas "written by Lucas is very brief:" He was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and of faith. " What a nice summary! These qualities of Barnabas, among others we will see later, inform us that he had qualities and attitudes that we would all like to have Jesus said that was good, and a good man is someone who excels at doing good-an imitator of Christ, example to us all. Let's start this day by practicing what is good? Doing good? Seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit and having faith? Don't waver.

In the case of Barnabas, that was so important that it was recorded in the eternal Word of God. Barnabas was filled with the Holy Spirit. Honestly, I want to be filled with the Holy Spirit to meet the purposes of God, having their gifts and produce the fruit of the Holy Spirit. And be full of faith means that there is no room for growing doubts, but be able to overcome all obstacles that want to impede our communion with God. The beginning of Chapter 13 of acts also informs us that Barnabas was Prophet and teacher, separated and sent by the Holy Spirit to missionary work, and the privilege of being a companion of Paul. In fact his name was Joseph, a Levite from Cyprus who the Apostles gave the name of Barnabas (acts 4.36), which means "encouraging". Probably had reason to. Man given off of material goods, because it sold a field that had brought the money to the feet of the Apostles. This biography, recorded in a few verses, is a servant of God full. We can take it as a model for us: consecrated, detached from earthly possessions, full of faith, devoted to missionary work, good companion, faithful intermediary in times of difficulties in spiritual matters, this was Barnabas.

Justiça? / Justice?

Justiça? Leitura bíblica: Obadias 1.1-21  _________________ O dia do Senhor está próximo para todas as nações. Como você fez, assim lhe será feito. A maldade que você praticou recairá sobre você (Obadias 1.15). _________________

O povo brasileiro tem clamado por justiça. São muitos os assaltos, estupros, corrupção, mortes e outros males. Com a sede de justiça nascem novos criminosos no meio do povo: são aqueles que resolvem fazer justiça com as próprias mãos. Tenho convicção que este não é o melhor caminho a seguir.

Nosso texto de hoje mostra a Palavra de Deus contra os edomitas. Eles e os israelitas tinham uma origem comum. Os edomitas eram descendentes de Esaú, irmão de Jacó/Israel e viviam ao lado de Israel. Quando Judá (um dos reinos resultantes de uma divisão do reino de Israel) e Jerusalém, sua capital, foram atacados, Edom, além de não prestar socorro, apoiou o ataque estrangeiro.

Em nossa legislação atual, você será condenado quando não prestar socorro em emergências; imagine agora quando este socorro é negado a um irmão, ao seu próprio povo? No versículo 12 também observamos que os edomitas comemoravam a desgraça do outro. De forma truculenta, ficavam nas encruzilhadas, roubando e matando os que conseguiam fugir. O povo de Edom era arrogante e orgulhoso e achava que, por estar em altos montes, nada o atingiria. Mas o juízo de Deus veio sobre Edom. Deus anuncia que sua justiça permanece. No versículo 15, em destaque, vimos Deus afirmando que a maldade praticada por Edom teria consequências, e estas se materializaram na queda de Edom, que foi destruído por completo.

Toda injustiça receberá o devido julgamento. Não importa contra quem você praticou o mal, mais tarde você será cobrado por ele. O que você plantar, você vai colher. Deus é justiça. Então, não seja precipitado e não ceda à tentação de fazer justiça com as próprias mãos.

Quando a questão for justiça, entregue tudo nas mãos de Deus; ele é justo e sabe o que faz.

Justice? Bible Reading: Obadiah 1.1-21   _________________ The day of the Lord is near to all Nations. As you do, so you will be done. The evil that you practice will fall on you (Obadiah 1.15). _________________

The Brazilian people have been clamoring for justice. There are many assaults, rapes, corruption, deaths and other ills. With the thirst for justice are born new criminals among the people: are those that resolve to take the law into their own hands. I believe that this is not the best way forward.

Our text today shows God's word against the edomites. They and the Israelis had a common origin. The edomites were descendants of Esau brother of Jacob/Israel and lived next to Israel. When Judah (one of the kingdoms resulting from a division of the Kingdom of Israel) and Jerusalem, its capital, were attacked, Edom, and does not provide relief, supported the foreign attack.

In our current legislation, you will be convicted when no assistance in emergencies; Now imagine when this relief is denied to a brother, to your own people? In verse 12 we also noticed that the edomites commemorated the disgrace of another. So action were at the crossroads, robbing and murdering those who managed to escape. The people of Edom was arrogant and proud and thought, for being in high mountains, nothing would. But the judgment of God came upon Edom. God announces that his righteousness remains. In verse 15, featured, we saw God stating that the evil practiced by Edom would have consequences, and these materialized in the fall of Edom, which was destroyed completely.

All unrighteousness will receive due judgment. No matter who you practiced evil, later you will be charged for it. What you sow, you will reap. God's justice. So, don't be hasty and not give in to the temptation to take the law into their own hands.

When the issue is justice, delivered everything in God's hands; He is right and knows what he's doing.

Salvador

Salvador Leitura bíblica: Isaías 43.10-13  _________________ Antes de mim nenhum deus se formou, nem haverá alguém depois de mim. Eu, eu mesmo, sou o Senhor, e além de mim não há Salvador algum (Isaías 43.10b-11). _________________

O texto indicado para leitura no dia de hoje está inserido no contexto de uma palavra do Senhor dirigida a Israel, seu povo, em relação ao futuro que lhe está profetizado. Não é por isso, todavia, que não podemos aplicá-lo em nossa vida pessoal.

Creio que existe atualmente um grande desconhecimento da humanidade em relação à nossa reconciliação com Deus por meio de Cristo Jesus. Ela é oferecida graciosamente, acessível pela fé no Senhor Jesus: “Eu sou o caminho, a verdade e a vida; ninguém vem ao Pai, a não ser por mim” (João 14.6). Há, no entanto, entre nós uma mistura muito preocupante de crenças, costumes e superstições sem fundamento. Ora as pessoas se comportam dentro de princípios de um determinado credo, ora de outro. Já vi uma pessoa declarar em um culto mostrado na televisão que cedinho vai à missa, frequenta um culto em igreja evangélica durante o dia e, à noite, participa de uma sessão espírita, além de ainda praticar alguns rituais de algumas seitas.

Em certa ocasião, o Senhor Jesus declarou em outro contexto: “Vocês estão enganados porque não conhecem as Escrituras nem o poder de Deus” (Mateus 22.29), o que se aplica também a essa questão da insegurança, da instabilidade, das dúvidas quanto à fé nos dias atuais. A Palavra de Deus nos afirma que “há um só Deus e um só mediador entre Deus e os homens, o homem Cristo Jesus” (1 Timóteo 2.5). Também na leitura de hoje, no livro do profeta Isaías, Deus declara: “Eu sou o primeiro e eu sou o último; além de mim não há Deus” (Isaías 44.6). Assim devemos firmar nossa fé e nossa vida espiritual somente no único e verdadeiro Deus, o criador da terra, do céu e de tudo o que neles há, e isso exclusivamente mediante a fé no Deus Filho, o Senhor Jesus.

Salvador Bible Reading: Isaiah 43.10-13   _________________ Before me no god was formed, nor will there be someone after me. I, even I, am the Lord, and besides me there is no Savior some (Isaiah 43.10 b-11). _________________

The entered text for reading today is inserted in the context of a word of the Lord directed at Israel, his people, about the future that is prophesied. It is not so, however, we can't apply it in our personal lives.

I believe that there is currently a great unknown of mankind in relation to our reconciliation with God through Christ Jesus. She is offered free of charge, accessible by faith in the Lord Jesus: "I am the way, the truth and the life; No one comes to the father except through me "(John 14.6). There are, however, among us a very disturbing mixture of beliefs, customs and superstitions. Now people behave within the principles of a particular creed, now another. I've seen a person declare in a cult television shown in the morning goes to church, attends an Evangelical Church worship during the day and at night, takes part in a seance, in addition to still practice some rituals of some sects.

On one occasion, the Lord Jesus said in another context: "You are wrong because they do not know the Scriptures nor the power of God" (Matthew 22.29), which also applies to this question of insecurity, instability, the doubts about the faith. The word of God in States that "there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2.5). Also in today's reading, the book of the Prophet Isaiah, God declares: "I am the first and I am the last; Besides me there is no God "(Isaiah 44.6). So we should establish our faith and our spiritual life only in the one true God, the creator of heaven and Earth, of all that is in them, and this solely through faith in God the son, the Lord Jesus.
