ANGÚSTIA
Leitura Bíblica: Salmo 77.1-20
Quando estou
angustiado, busco o Senhor; de noite estendo as mãos sem cessar; a minha alma
está inconsolável! (Salmo 77.2)
Não se sabe exatamente o que havia acontecido ao
autor do texto que você acabou de ler. Teria vivenciado alguma tragédia? Ele
estava perplexo, angustiado, inconsolável. Lembrava-se de Deus em sua meditação
e seu espírito desfalecia. Ele chega a fazer alguns questionamentos: “Irá o
Senhor rejeitar-nos para sempre? Jamais tornará a mostrar-nos o seu favor?
Desapareceu para sempre o seu amor? Acabou-se a sua promessa? Esqueceu-se Deus
de ser misericordioso? Em sua ira refreou sua compaixão?” (versos 7-9).
Mais cedo ou mais tarde, corremos o risco de
passar por sérias dificuldades como as descritas pelo autor do Salmo. Neste
exato momento, talvez você esteja desesperado, passando por algum tipo de
preocupação ou com problemas que parecem não ter solução e se sentindo
inconsolável. Nesta situação, o salmista não consegue conciliar o sono com sua
angústia. Ele está acordado, com as mãos estendidas e falando a Deus o que está
sentindo. Então relembra o que Deus já havia feito por ele, sua família e todo
o povo. Ele começa a entender que Deus é grande e tem poder para ajudar aqueles
que necessitam. Ao final do salmo, ele chega à conclusão de que Deus guiou o
seu povo no deserto por meio de Moisés e Arão – ou seja, já demonstrou seu
amor, que não muda.
Deus ainda age da mesma forma como há milhares de
anos. Não importa que tipo de dificuldade você esteja passando, Deus pode
fortalecer você por meio de pessoas, circunstâncias ou, como o salmista, de
suas próprias recordações do que ele já fez e de experiências vividas com ele.
Quando estiver angustiado, fale tudo o que você precisa a Deus, com todo
respeito. Conheça a Deus conversando com ele. O Senhor agirá de acordo com seus
divinos propósitos e você vai começar a entender o amor de Deus ao perceber
tudo o que ele já fez e ainda fará de bom por você.

ANGUISH
Bible reading: Psalm 77.1-20
When I'm upset, I seek the Lord; at night I
extend my hands without ceasing; my soul is heartbroken! (Psalm 77.2)
It is not known exactly what had happened to the
author of the text you just read. Would have experienced any tragedy? He was
puzzled, distressed, inconsolable. Remembered God in your meditation and your
spirit die. He gets to do some questions: "Will the Lord reject us
forever? Never will show us your favor? Disappeared forever your love? No more
your promise? You forgot God be merciful? In your furore checked your
compassion? " (verses 7-9).
Sooner or later, we run the risk of going
through serious difficulties such as those described by the author of the
Psalm. Right now, you may be desperate, going through some kind of concern or
with problems that seem to have no solution and feeling heartbroken. In this
situation, the psalmist cannot reconcile the sleep with your anguish. He's
awake, with hands extended and talking to God what you're feeling. Then recalls
what God had done for him, your family and all the people. He begins to
understand that God is great and has the power to help those in need. At the
end of the Psalm, he comes to the conclusion that God guided your people in the
desert through Moses and Aaron – i.e. has shown your love, that doesn't change.
God still acts the same way as for thousands of
years. No matter what kind of trouble you're going through, God can strengthen
you through people, circumstances or, like the psalmist, his own memories of
what he has done and of experiences with him. When you are distressed, talk all
you need God, with all due respect. Meet the God talking to him. The Lord will
act in accordance with his divine purposes and you will begin to understand the
love of God to realize everything he ever did and still do good for you.
