Sinais do céu

Leitura Bíblica: Números 9.15-23

De dia ou de noite, sempre que a nuvem se levantava, [os israelitas] partiam (Números 9.21b).

Uma de minhas tarefas diárias é lavar roupas e estendê-las no varal. Por isso, acompanho a previsão do tempo e fico atenta às nuvens. Às vezes acerto, outras não. O céu dá sinais quando vem chuva ou se o sol brilhará – eu é que nem sempre os compreendo.

Os israelitas também ficavam observando uma nuvem. Ela indicava se deviam partir ou ficar: assim o Senhor os direcionava. O versículo em destaque me leva a imaginar que havia sempre alguém atento à nuvem. Não podiam se distrair naquela peregrinação não planejada por eles, mas já traçada pelo Senhor. Eles sabiam onde iam chegar (Canaã), mas o como era demonstrado passo a passo, por meio da nuvem que levantava e parava sem que eles pudessem prever seus movimentos. Para obedecer a Deus e seguir viagem, era preciso atenção.
Na vida cristã, Deus também direciona seus filhos de acordo com os propósitos dele. Da mesma forma que os israelitas, o atual povo de Deus precisa ficar atento para identificar mudanças na “nuvem”. De dia ou de noite, Deus pode dar novas ordens, esperando obediência a elas. Será que os cristãos compreendem os sinais divinos? Sabem interpretar as orientações registradas na Bíblia e as circunstâncias diárias?

A direção divina não é confusa, pois Deus conhece nosso futuro e age para o nosso bem. Mesmo quando não compreendemos o que ele faz, é preciso confiar que ele conduz seus filhos a um lugar seguro – o centro de sua vontade. O caminho até lá nos parece imprevisível, mas para Deus está bem delineado. Hoje não há uma nuvem e sim a própria Palavra de Deus para nos orientar. Se vivemos com ele, precisamos estar atentos ao seu agir. Quanto mais conhecermos o Senhor por meio do estudo da Bíblia, pela oração e por experiências com ele, mais fácil será reconhecer seus sinais de orientação e obedecer-lhe com confiança.

Bible reading: Numbers 9.15-23

Day or night, whenever the cloud lifted weights, [the Israelites] broke (Numbers 9.21b).

One of my daily tasks is washing clothes and extend them on the Clothesline. So, I follow the weather forecast and I am attentive to the clouds. Sometimes, others do not. The sky gives signals when rain or if the Sun will shine-I is, they don't always understand them.

The Israelis were also watching a cloud. She indicated if they should leave or stay: so the Lord would direct. The verse highlighted makes me imagine that there was always someone watching the cloud. Could not be distracted in that pilgrimage is not planned for them, but already drawn by the Lord. They knew where they were going to get (Canaan), but as was demonstrated step by step, through the cloud that raised and kept without they could predict their movements. To obey God and move on, you needed attention.
In the Christian life, God also directs her children according to his purposes. In the same way that the Israelis, the current people of God need to be vigilant to identify changes in the "cloud". Day or night, God can give new orders, expecting obedience to them. Will the Christians understand the divine signs? Know how to interpret the guidelines recorded in the Bible and the daily circumstances?

The Divine direction is not confused, because God knows our future and for our good. Even when we don't understand what he does, you have to trust that he drives his kids to a safe place-the center of your will. The way there seems unpredictable, but for God is well outlined. Today there is a cloud and yes the very word of God to guide us. If we live with it, we need to be attentive to your act. The more we meet the Lord through Bible study, prayer and by experimenting with it, the easier it will be to recognize its signs and obey him with confidence.
