Lembrança

Leitura Bíblica: Gênesis 40.1-23

O Senhor ajuda e livra [os justos]; ele os livra dos ímpios e os salva, porque nele se refugiam (Salmo 37.40).

A leitura bíblica fala da interpretação que José fez, conforme a direção de Deus, dos sonhos de dois oficiais que estavam presos com ele: uma foi aprazível; a outra, não. Ambos queriam entender aquilo que os perturbava. Biblicamente, sabe-se que uma das formas que Deus usou para se manifestar foi por meio de sonhos (v.8).

José pediu algo para aquele que permaneceria vivo: que se lembrasse dele, tivesse misericórdia e fizesse menção de sua situação ao faraó, para que José também saísse dali. Mas o que aconteceu depois que o copeiro-chefe saiu da prisão? Infelizmente ele esqueceu-se de José (v.23), tanto que em Gênesis 41.1 ficamos sabendo que se passaram dois anos antes que ele finalmente se lembrasse do pedido de seu ex-companheiro na prisão.

É fácil esquecer aqueles que clamaram por socorro. Diante dos outros, não reconhecemos que fazemos isso; ao contrário: garantimos que vamos ajudar. Na prática não é assim que acontece! Esquecemos, sim, de quem nos solicitou ajuda, assim como dos que nos estenderam a mão quando precisávamos. A boa notícia é que hoje ainda é possível resgatar na memória o pedido de socorro que chegou a nós. Como disse o copeiro-chefe, “hoje me lembro de minhas faltas” (Gênesis 41.9b). Claro que Deus interveio na história, e assim este homem teve a oportunidade de lembrar-se de José e de seu pedido.

Não devemos seguir seu exemplo: que sempre haja em nossa mente a lembrança daqueles que suplicaram por ajuda. É assim que faremos diferença na vida de muitos! Deus havia colocado aqueles dois homens junto com José para que fossem usados para libertá-lo. Aquele que podia fazer isso quase deixou a ocasião passar. Embora seja o Senhor quem dá o livramento, não negligencie a chance de ajudar aos outros, pois você pode ser o instrumento que Deus quer usar em suas vidas!

Bible reading: Genesis 40.1-23

The Lord help and free [the righteous]; He delivereth them from the wicked and saves them, because it take refuge (Psalm 37.40).

The biblical reading talks about the interpretation that Jose did as God's direction, the dreams of two officers who were stuck with him: one was pleasant; the other, not. Both wanted to understand what was disturbing. Biblically, it is known that one of the ways that God used to speak was through dreams (v. 8).

Joseph asked for something to one that would remain alive: to remember him, have mercy and do mention your situation to the Pharaoh, for José also leave from there. But what happened after the Chief cupbearer got out of prison? Unfortunately he forgot to José (v. 23), so much so that in Genesis 41.1 we passed two years before he finally remembered the request for your ex in jail.

It's easy to forget those who cried for help. On the other, do not recognize we do that; on the contrary: we guarantee that we will help. In practice it's not how it happens. Forget, who requested help, we extended the hand when needed. The good news is that today it is still possible to rescue in memory the distress call that came to us. As the Chief cupbearer said, "today I remember my faults" (Genesis 41.9b). Of course that God intervened in the history, and so this man had the opportunity to remember and to your request.

We should not follow your example: that is always in our minds the memory of those who begged for help. That's how we're going to make a difference in the lives of many! God had placed those two men along with José to be used to free him. That you could do that almost let the opportunity pass. Although it is the Lord who gives the deliverance, don't overlook the chance to help others, because you can be the instrument that God wants to use in their lives!
