Porque… / Because...

Jó 2 …temos recebido o bem de Deus e não receberíamos também o mal?… —Jó 2:10 Jó 1–2 Atos 7:22-43  * Certo dia meu filho pequeno exclamou: “Eu te amo, mamãe!” Fiquei curiosa sobre o que move uma criança de três anos a dizer isso, então lhe perguntei por que ele me amava. Sua resposta: “Porque você brinca de carrinho comigo.” Quando perguntei se havia algum outro motivo, ele disse: “Não, é só isso.” A resposta dele me fez sorrir. Mas, também me fez pensar sobre a maneira como me relaciono com Deus. Eu o amo e confio nele apenas pelo que Ele faz por mim? E quando as bênçãos desaparecem? Jó teve de responder a essas perguntas quando as catástrofes ceifaram a vida de seus filhos e demoliram toda a sua propriedade. Sua mulher o aconselhou: “…Amaldiçoa a Deus e morre!” (2:9). Em vez disso, Jó perguntou: “…temos recebido o bem de Deus e não receberíamos também o mal?…” (v.10). Sim, Jó passou apuros após sua tragédia — ele se zangou com seus amigos e questionou o Todo-poderoso. Ainda assim, ele prometeu: “Eis que me matará, […] contudo, defenderei o meu procedimento” (13:15). A afeição de Jó por seu Pai celestial não dependia de uma solução sob medida para os seus problemas. Antes, ele amou a Deus e confiou nele por tudo o que o Senhor é. Jó disse: “Ele é sábio de coração e grande em poder…” (9:4). É preciso que nosso amor por Deus não se baseie unicamente em Suas bênçãos, mas em quem Ele é. Atentar para o caráter de Deus nos ajuda a tirar os olhos das nossas circunstâncias.

" (2: 9). instead, Jó asked: "… we have received the good of God and not also receive evil? ..." (v. 10). Yes, Jó spent trouble after his tragedy — he zangou with your friends and questioned the Almighty. Still, he promised: "Behold, I will kill, […] However, I will defend my procedure "(13:15). The affection of job for your heavenly father is not depended on a solution tailored to their problems. Before, he loved God and relied on it for all that the Lord is. Job said: "He is wise in heart and great in power …" (9: 4). Let our love for God is not based solely on his blessings, but in who he is. Look for the character of God helps us to draw the eyes of our circumstances.
