Leitura Bíblica: Mateus 6:19-21

Não acumulem para vocês tesouros na terra…mas acumulem para vocês tesouros no céu (Mateus 6:19-20).

A certa altura da vida fiz um curso de licitações e passei a exercer as atividades de pregoeiro ou leiloeiro, aquele que dirige um leilão. Pois bem, numa ocasião fui designado para elaborar um leilão de automóveis antigos. Lembro-me de que não eram simplesmente carros velhos, mas antiguidades muito valiosas para colecionadores.

Tivemos a participação de colecionadores de todo o Brasil. O que mais me chamou a atenção naquele dia foi um jovem empresário, que chamarei de “ajuntador”, que me impressionava pela obsessão de querer comprar todos os jipes antigos. Quando alguém dava um lance, ele o aumentava e arrematava aqueles veículos por valores altíssimos. Após o evento, perguntei-lhe o motivo de tanto amor pelos jipes velhos, e ele me respondeu: “Meu amigo, quando eu era pequeno, meu pai tinha um lindo jipe. Ele me proibia de tocá-lo. Fiquei durante anos apreciando aquele jipe. Meu sonho era provar ao meu pai que eu também podia ter um veículo daqueles. Hoje sou grande, não preciso do meu pai, e já tenho dezenas de jipes em minha garagem. Todos recuperados e originais.”

Ao término de todo o processo licitatório, eu não estava impressionado com os altos valores arrecadados, mas perplexo com a atitude daquele “ajuntador”, um homem cujo tesouro era composto por jipes.

Assim como o ajuntador de jipes, existem pessoas cujo coração está nos times de futebol, no trabalho, nos estudos, nos bens, no dinheiro, nas ações, em coisas. Jesus, porém, nos adverte contra nossa tendência natural de acumularmos tesouros desse tipo, que em pouco tempo se perderão. Ele aponta para valores eternos, muito mais dignos do nosso esforço.

Possivelmente tenhamos de mudar nossa forma de viver e fazer como Jesus: em vez de amar coisas, amar nosso semelhante e usar as coisas para boas finalidades. – Denilson Moreira Sanches.

At the end of the entire bidding process, I was not impressed by the high values collected, but perplexed by the attitude of the "collector", a man whose treasure was composed of jeeps.

But Jesus warns us against our natural tendency of accumulating such treasures, that soon will be lost. He points to eternal values, more worthy of our efforts.

Que privilégio! / What a privilege! / Какие привилегии!

Leitura Bíblica: Atos 8:1-8

Os que haviam sido dispersos pregavam a Palavra por onde quer que fossem (Atos 8:4).

Você é cristão? Como cristãos temos privilégios que outros não têm. Por exemplo: somos filhos de Deus, “geração eleita, sacerdócio real povo exclusivo de Deus” (I Pedro 2:9), e o apóstolo Pedro continua dizendo ali que esses privilégios devem impulsionar-nos a “anunciar as grandezas daquele que os chamou das trevas para a sua maravilhosa luz”.

O apóstolo Paulo era alguém que sabia da responsabilidade que esse privilégio lhe impunha e por esse motivo disse: “Aí de mim, se não pregar o evangelho” (I Coríntios 9:16).

Quantas vezes esquecemos da nossa tarefa de anunciar Jesus: falamos de tudo, menos de Cristo.

Lembro-me de um episódio que um pastor meu conhecido relatou em uma de suas mensagens: “No metrô de São Paulo, duas senhoras estavam na estação Sé, querendo ir para a estação Paraíso. Uma delas abordou o pastor dizendo que estavam perdidas e que queriam ir ao Paraíso, mas não sabiam como. Ele lhes explicou aonde ir e indicou a escada rolante para elas. Alguns segundos depois ele percebeu que oportunidade acabara de perder: as mulheres estavam perdidas e queriam ir ao Paraíso, e ele apenas indicou a escada rolante, deixando escapar a chance que aquele jogo de palavras lhe oferecia para anunciar Jesus.

Não podemos perder oportunidades: falemos de Cristo no táxi, no ônibus, no avião, no supermercado, na padaria, no posto de gasolina, enfim, onde houver uma alma sem Cristo será o nosso campo missionário. Igreja de Cristo, anuncie Jesus com palavras e principalmente com a própria vida.

Perguntei no inicio se você é cristão, mas talvez nem seja. Nesse caso, aqui está um chamado para você encontrar Cristo e ser um desses privilegiados que Ele “chamou das trevas para sua maravilhosa luz” – e então você terá também motivos de sobra para passar essa mensagem adiante. – Cleverson Pereira do Valle.

Biblereading: acts 8: 1-8

Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went (acts 8: 4).

Are you Christian? As Christians we have privileges that others do not have. For example: we are God's children, "chosen generation, a royal priesthood unique people of God" (1 Peter 2: 9), and the Apostle Peter goes on to say here that these privileges should propel us to "announce the greatness of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light."

The Apostle Paul was someone who knew the responsibility that this privilege you needed and for this reason said: "This to me if I do not preach the Gospel" (1 Cor 9:16).

How often we forget our task to announce Jesus: we talk about everything but of Christ.

I remember an episode where a pastor my known reported in one of his messages: "in the São Paulo metro, two ladies were at Sé station, wanting to go to Paradise. Patrões e Empregados / Bosses and Employees / Начальники и сотрудники

Leitura Bíblica: Efésios 6:5-9

Lembre a todos que se sujeitam aos governantes e às autoridades (Tito 3:1 a).

Se há coisa difícil de fazer, é obedecer a autoridades. Mas essa obediência é algo que não só agrada a Deus, como é necessário para sobreviver. Desde muito cedo precisamos obedecer aos pais, aos professores, ao governo político, em muitos casos ao patrão numa firma e principalmente a Deus.

E a carta de Paulo aos Efésios traz uma riqueza de conselhos a respeito da obediência às autoridades. No sexto capítulo dessa carta, depois de falar do relacionamento entre pais e filhos, o apóstolo fala do relacionamento entre senhor e escravo, ou, como diríamos hoje, entre patrão e empregado.

Obedecer ao patrão nem sempre é uma tarefa fácil, ainda mais quando se trata de alguém de mesma igreja ou de um parente, ou então quando é uma pessoa que vive de mau humor. Mas o apóstolo Paulo deixa claro aos cristãos de Éfeso que a hierarquia de senhor e escravo ou patrão e empregado deve ser respeitada. Aliás, mais que isso: deve ser orientada por uma nova visão.

O empregado cristão deve ter a consciência de que acima dos olhos do seu “senhor terreno” estão os olhos do seu Senhor Celestial. Logo, ele não serve simplesmente ao seu patrão, mas por meio do seu patrão serve a Deus. Na prática, isso significa que, estando o patrão presente ou ausente, o ritmo e a qualidade do trabalho continuam os mesmos. Mas e se você for um patrão cristão? Também a estes o apóstolo Paulo ordena: “Não os ameaçam (seus escravos, empregados), uma vez que vocês sabem que o Senhor deles e de vocês está nos céus, e Ele não faz diferença entre as pessoas”. Ou seja, assim como o empregado deve ser fiel ao patrão como ao Senhor, assim o patrão deve respeitar seu empregado, colocando-se na “pele dele”. – André Luís Selent

Bosses and Employees

Biblereading: Ephesians 6: 5-9

Note to all who are subject to the rulers and authorities (Titus 3: 1).

If there is a hard thing to do, is to obey the authorities. But this obedience is something that not only pleases God, as is necessary to survive. Very early on we need to obey their parents, to the teachers, to the political Government, in many cases the boss in a firm and especially to God.

And the letter of Paul to the Ephesians brings a wealth of advice on the obedience to the authorities. In the sixth chapter of that letter, after speaking of the relationship between parents and children, the Apostle speaks of the relationship between master and slave, or, as we would say today, between boss and employee.

Leitura Bíblica: Marcos 10:46-52

(Jesus disse:) Eu vim ao mundo como luz, para que todo aquele que crê em mim não permaneça nas trevas (João 12:46).

Não sabemos há quanto tempo Bartimeu era cego. O que será que ele sonhava ver? A cidade, as pessoas, a paisagem? Ele apenas podia imaginar como era o mundo em que vivia, sem contemplá-lo. Então, surgiu a grande oportunidade. Certamente ele já tinha ouvido falar sobre Jesus, mas não chamou o Mestre para conhecê-lo ou escutar suas palavras: queria experimentar seu poder. Ele desejava ver!

Sendo Deus, apenas Cristo tinha a noção exata de como era a vida daquele homem. Conhecendo seu sonho e sua fé, Jesus teve compaixão dele e curou-o. De repente, Bartimeu viu a luz, a cor do céu, o lugar onde estava diante dele, contemplando-o com o olhar mais amoroso que se possa imaginar.

Talvez a primeira imagem registrada na mente de Bartimeu tenha sido a de Cristo. Mas havia tanta coisa a enxergar! O templo em Jerusalém, os montes, o rio Jordão… Ele poderia ter escolhido “aproveitar” sua nova vida e conhecer todos os lugares que nunca vira antes. Porém, Bartimeu escolheu seguir Jesus. Não apenas por gratidão, mas por crer que Ele era quem dizia ser – o Filho de Deus. Decidiu aproveitar sua nova vida seguindo Jesus – e quantos milagres deve ter visto pelo caminho! Talvez ele o tenha seguido até vê-lo pendurado na cruz, morrendo no lugar de todos aqueles que vivem em trevas, para que estes pudessem ver Deus. Também deve ter visto, admirado, o túmulo vazio que lembrava o maior milagre de todos – a vitória de Cristo sobre a morte!

Conhecer Jesus fez toda a diferença na vida de Bartimeu. Mas ele não se contentou em vê-lo: decidiu segui-lo. É isso que temos de fazer hoje. Não basta sabermos quem é Jesus; precisamos entregar o controle de nossa vida em suas mãos, ter um relacionamento real com Ele e obedecer-lhe. Assim as pessoas verão Jesus em nós! – Vanessa W. Enxergar é bom. Ver o caminho certo é melhor, mas percorrê-lo é o que importa.

See Jesus

Biblereading: Marcos 10:46 -52

(Jesus said) I came into the world as light, so that everyone who believes in me does not remain in darkness (John 12:46).

We don't know how long was blind Bartimaeus. What does he dreamed of seeing? The city, the people, the scenery? He could only imagine how it was the world in which he lived, without contemplating it. Then came the big break. Certainly he had already heard about Jesus, but did not call the master to meet you or listen to your words: wanted to experience its power. He wanted to see!

Being God, but Christ had the exact notion of what life was like that man. Knowing your dream and your faith, Jesus had compassion on him, and healed him. Suddenly, Bartimaeus saw the light, the color of the sky, the place where I was before him, covering him with the most loving look imaginable.

Perhaps the first image recorded in the mind of Bartimaeus has been the of Christ. But there was so much to see! The Temple in Jerusalem, the hills, the Jordan River ... He could have chosen to "leverage" your new life and know all the places they have never seen before. However, Bartimaeus chose to follow Jesus. Not just for gratitude, but by believing that It was who claimed to be – the son of God. Decided to take his new life following Jesus – and how many miracles may have seen along the way! Maybe he has followed up to see him hanging on the cross, dying in place of all those who live in darkness, so that they could see God. Возможно был первое изображение, записанная в виду Вартимею Христа. Но там было так много, чтобы увидеть! Храм в Иерусалиме, холмы, река Иордан... Он мог бы выбрали «плечо» вашей новой жизни и знать все места, которые они никогда не видели раньше. Однако Вартимею решил следовать за Иисусом. Не только для благодарности, но полагать, что это было, кто утверждал, что – сын Божий. Решили принять его новой жизни после Иисуса- и сколько чудес, возможно, видели в пути! Может быть, он следил, чтобы увидеть его висит на кресте, умирает вместо всех тех, кто живет в темноте, чтобы они могли видеть Бога. Необходимо также видели, восхищался, пустой гроб, который напоминал величайшее чудо все победу Христа над смертью!
