Mudo Leitura bíblica: Isaías 53.1-12.  _________________ Como uma ovelha que diante dos seus tosquiadores fica calada, ele não abriu a sua boca (Isaías 53.7b). _________________

Não é difícil perceber que a leitura bíblica deste dia é uma profecia de Isaías referente ao difícil trajeto que o nosso Senhor Jesus tomou diante dos seus adversários, há dois mil anos, rumo ao Gólgota. Diante de todas as falsas acusações levantadas por seus “tosquiadores” – os líderes da sinagoga judaica – o nosso Senhor simplesmente não abriu a boca. Mas por que ele não se defendeu? Não estava ele sofrendo injustiça como um inocente (Mateus 27.4)? Por acaso não eram infundadas as acusações levantadas contra ele? Se até Pilatos sabia que os adversários de Jesus o entregavam por inveja (Mateus 27.18), não teria o Senhor argumentos suficientes para escapar da cruz e limpar seu nome? Certamente teria, mas ele permaneceu mudo.

Hoje entendemos que o nosso Senhor não se defendeu porque tinha uma tarefa a cumprir: a vontade do Pai que o enviou (João 5.30; 6.38-39). Esta meta era o seu alimento diário (João 4.34). Mas o que fica difícil para entender é que na cruz ele abriu a trilha para que pudéssemos segui-lo (João 10.4). E se ele sofreu a injustiça, também os seus seguidores sofrerão (2 Timóteo 3.12). E você, como seguidor de Cristo, como tem reagido à difamação ou à injúria? Tem procurado limpar o seu nome diante dos outros? À noite tem ficado sem dormir por causa das falsas acusações que sofreu?

Ao invés de tentar se justificar diante das pessoas, que tal consultar o seu advogado junto ao Pai – Jesus Cristo (1 João 2.1)? Acaso ele não sofreu injustiça maior? E ele não venceu (Atos 3.15)? Não prometeu ele que exaltaria – a seu tempo – quem sofreu humilhação e humilharia a quem se exaltou? (Mateus 23.12; Tiago 4.6). Afinal de contas, você crê ou não crê nisso? Então feche a boca diante dos homens e abra o seu coração diante de Deus.

Wasn't it suffering injustice as an innocent man (Matthew 27.4)? By chance were not unfounded the accusations levelled against him? If even Pilate knew the opponents of Jesus gave for envy (Matthew 27.18), would not have the Lord enough arguments to escape the cross and clear his name? Certainly would have, but he remained silent.

Today we understand that our Lord has not defended himself because he had a job to do: the will of the father who sent him (John 5.30; 6.38-39). This goal was his daily food (John 4.34). But what is difficult to understand is that on the cross he opened the trail so we could follow him (John 10.4). And if he suffered injustice, also his followers will suffer (2 Timothy 3.12). And you, as a follower of Christ, how have you reacted to libel or slander? Has sought to clear his name in front of others? Night has been without sleep because of the false charges that suffered?

Instead of trying to justify themselves in front of people, how about asking your lawyer with the father-Jesus Christ (1 John 2.1)? He suffered no greater injustice? And he didn't win (Acts 3.15)? Promised him that would exalt – in time – who suffered humiliation and humiliate the who overreacted? (Matthew 23.12; James 4.6). After all, you believe or don't believe it? So shut your mouth before men and open your heart before God.

Quem vive de passado... Leitura bíblica: Jeremias 16.1-15  _________________ Realizaste sinais e maravilhas no Egito e continuas a fazê-los até hoje (Jeremias 32.20a). _________________

Às vezes fico pensando na origem das palavras e expressões que usamos. Que tipo de situação cria um ditado, por exemplo? No texto de hoje, temos a explicação do surgimento de uma nova fórmula de juramento em Israel. Esse povo já tinha vivido muitas experiências com Deus, desde sua própria formação a partir de um homem escolhido, o recebimento de um código de leis próprio, a conquista de sua terra. Mas nada, até então, tinha sido tão grandioso quanto a libertação da escravidão no Egito. Porém, por mais que Deus tenha feito tudo aquilo, eles se desviaram. Desobedeceram constantemente às leis divinas e adoraram outros deuses. O Senhor os castigaria com o exílio (verso 13), mas também prometia um “segundo êxodo” (verso 15). Este seria tão impactante quanto o primeiro, a ponto de mudar até mesmo a forma de jurar.

Isso me fez pensar que nós também não podemos “viver de passado”. Não adianta apenas nos lembrarmos dos milagres que Deus já fez e de como foi bondoso conosco, se nada disso faz diferença em nossa vida hoje! Como os contemporâneos de Jeremias, podemos ter um passado com Deus, mas um presente longe dele!

Ele já demonstrou seu amor quando entregou seu próprio Filho por nós para que pudéssemos ter um relacionamento com ele. Então, por que precisaríamos de algo ainda mais grandioso para nos voltarmos a ele? Ele pode fazer isso, como fez com os israelitas, mas não precisa. A morte de Cristo em nosso lugar já foi suficiente! Precisamos é reconhecer isso e também que Deus age em nossas vidas, de várias formas. O que Deus já fez é importante, mas não podemos estacionar na vida cristã. Melhor que viver de lembranças é compartilhar sua companhia e auxílio a cada dia!

Sometimes I wonder in the origin of the words and phrases we use. What kind of situation creates a dictation, for example? In today's text, we have the explanation of the emergence of a new formula of oath in Israel. These people had already lived many experiences with God, since his own training from a man chosen, receiving a code of laws, the conquest of their own land. But nothing, until then, had been as great as the liberation from slavery in Egypt. However, no matter how much God has done all that, they have gone astray. Disobeyed constantly to divine laws and worshiped other gods. The Lord punished with exile (verse 13), but also promised a "second exodus" (verse 15). This would be as impressive as the first, about to change even the form of make oath.

It got me thinking that we can't live in the past ". It's no use just remind us of miracles that God ever made and how it was kind to us, if any of this makes a difference in our lives today. As the contemporary of Jeremiah, we have a history with God, but a gift from him.

He has shown his love when he delivered his own son for us so we could have a relationship with him. So, why would we need something even more grandiose for we him? He can do that, just like the Israelites, but it need not. The death of Christ in our place was enough! We need to recognise that and also that God acts in our lives in many ways. What God has already done is important, but we can't Park in the Christian life. Better than living memories is to share your company and support every day!

Sintomas / Symptoms

Sintomas Leitura bíblica: Romanos 6.1-4  _________________ Nós, os que morremos para o pecado, como podemos continuar vivendo nele? (Romanos 6.2) _________________

Neste mundo só se considera pecado aquilo que a sociedade diz que é inaceitável – por esta razão, certos comportamentos antes eram considerados impróprios e hoje são quase desejáveis. No entanto, o pecado é como uma doença cujos sintomas são certos comportamentos e atitudes (não raro, socialmente bem aceitos) que não matam, mas denotam uma natureza comprometida pela presença de uma doença 100% fatal e incurável pelos esforços humanos. Muitas vezes, tratam-se estes sintomas como quem trata uma grave pneumonia com um xaropinho para tosse e gotinhas para baixar a febre, sem cuidar da grave infecção que, sem controle, matará o paciente. Os sintomas são indesejáveis, claro! E é verdade que às vezes a pessoa tossiu por tanto tempo que pode achar até normal dar uma tossida ou outra. Mas isso é loucura, pois ela pode ser sinal de que a doença ainda não foi devidamente tratada! A única cura para esta terrível doença chamada pecado é o sangue de Jesus, mas ele só é administrado a pacientes que reconhecem sua situação desesperadora e a ele se submetem para receber tratamento. Este sangue age de dentro para fora: muda a essência do paciente, de forma que os sintomas vão diminuindo até desaparecer (o que ocorrerá quando a obra de Jesus estiver concluída em nós, na sua volta).

Imagine alguém pegar um porquinho do chiqueiro, levá-lo para dentro de casa e lhe dar um belo banho, perfumar, amarrar um laço e então deixá-lo livre... na primeira oportunidade ele correrá de volta para a lama. Já o arminho, dizem, faz qualquer coisa, inclusive deixar-se matar, para evitar sujar-se. Se fosse possível mudar a essência do porquinho, dando-lhe um coração de arminho, não seria mais preciso fechar a porta da casa para impedi-lo de correr para o chiqueiro. É assim também a essência da pessoa transformada pelo sangue de Jesus: fará todo o possível para evitar o pecado.

However, the sin is like a disease whose symptoms are certain behaviors and attitudes (often, socially well accepted) that don't kill, but denote a nature committed by the presence of a disease 100% fatal and incurable human efforts. Often, these are these symptoms such as severe pneumonia who looks with a cough and syrup drops to the fever, without taking care of serious infection that, unchecked, kill the patient. The symptoms are undesirable, of course! And it is true that sometimes the person coughed for so long that you can find to give normal cough or other. But this is crazy, because it can be a sign that the disease has not yet been properly treated! The only cure for this terrible disease called sin is the blood of Jesus, but it is only given to patients who recognize his desperate situation and he submit to treatment. Grandes empreendimentos e realizações requerem coragem dos seus executores. Muitas pessoas possuem boas ideias, sabem exatamente o que precisa ser feito, mas não têm a coragem necessária para que as ações se concretizem. A coragem para a vida é um elemento importante, pois são muitos os momentos em que ela será exigida.

Se você pensar um pouco mais sobre a coragem, descobrirá que ela é fruto da confiança em algo. Algumas pessoas têm sua coragem baseada nas suas próprias capacidades e forças, mas outras, apesar de valorizá-las, colocam sua confiança em Deus.

Assim, para ter coragem é preciso confiar, e esse confiar precisa estar adequadamente focado em Deus. Isso significa que antes de realizar qualquer empreendimento e tomar qualquer atitude, se os projetos são reconhecidos como da parte de Deus, então, junto com eles, será concedida a coragem para realizá-los. E como é bom quando compreendemos a vontade de Deus e recebemos dele a coragem para executar boas coisas em nossa vida e na vida de outras pessoas.

Se você está desanimado com algo, busque Deus em primeiro lugar, busque a força e a coragem que vêm dele. Ele se alegra com corações que solicitam sua ajuda, que dependem dele. Um dia de comunhão com Deus já pode mudar os rumos da vida e dar ânimo para fazer grandes obras – quanto mais uma vida inteira de relacionamento contínuo com ele. O segredo é a autêntica relação de amor com Deus, não aquilo que se realiza. Por isso, não caia no erro de querer apenas usar Deus para seus empreendimentos. Deus o ama, quer cuidar de você e estar ao seu lado em todas as grandes obras que fará por meio de você.

Large enterprises and achievements require courage of their executioners. Many people have good ideas, they know exactly what needs to be done, but do not have the courage needed for the actions materialise. The brave for life is an important element, since there are many times when she will be required.

If you think a little more about the courage, you will find that it is the fruit of faith in something. Some people have their courage based on their own capabilities and forces, but others, despite valuing them, put their trust in God.

Prioridade / Priority

Prioridade Leitura bíblica: 2 Crônicas 1.11-13  _________________ O temor do Senhor é o princípio do conhecimento (Provérbios 1.7a). _________________

Salomão foi um rei conhecido por sua riqueza e sabedoria extraordinárias. Diz-nos a Bíblia que no seu tempo a prata era tão comum como as pedras. A sua sabedoria ficou conhecida no mundo todo de sua época, tanto que certa vez veio uma rainha de longe só para ouvi-lo e confirmar o que se dizia acerca dele. Também foi ele quem construiu um templo para a adoração a Deus, templo esse que tinha tudo do bom e do melhor, feito com muito zelo e dedicação.

Tudo isso foi possível por uma escolha que Salomão fez. Logo no início seu reinado, ele preocupou-se com a adoração ao Senhor, incentivando o povo a fazer o mesmo. Colocou-se debaixo da ação do Senhor e não confiou nas suas próprias forças. Naquela época fazia-se necessário o sacrifício de animais, e o fato de Salomão ter oferecido ao Senhor mil animais enquanto ele e o povo adoravam mostra-nos que ele tinha um coração generoso, pois o Senhor merecia o melhor.

Quantas vezes nós não somos capazes de fazer pequenos sacrifícios para adorar o Senhor, mas damos desculpas quando não queremos deixar nosso conforto e comodismo!

Deus se agradou de Salomão e deu-lhe a oportunidade de fazer um pedido, e Salomão pediu sabedoria. Ele sabia que tinha uma grande responsabilidade e queria cumpri-la fielmente. Isso mostra onde estava o seu coração. Ao fazer esse pedido, não pensava apenas em si mesmo, no que lucraria, mas no que seria melhor para o povo.

Pelo pedido sábio de Salomão, e por ter Deus e o benefício do povo como prioridade, Deus lhe acrescentou todas as outras coisas que talvez muitos teriam pedido: riqueza, bens, fama. Se Deus fizesse essa proposta a você, o que pediria? Qual é a prioridade de sua vida? Onde está seu coração? Tenha as prioridades corretas e você verá constantemente a mão de Deus agindo em sua vida, tanto nos momentos bons como nos ruins.

Priority Bible Reading: 2 Chronicles 1.11-13   _________________ The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge (Proverbs  1.7a). _________________

Solomon was a King known for his wealth and wisdom. The Bible tells us that in his time the silver was as common as stones. His wisdom was known worldwide for its time, so much so that once came a Queen from afar just to hear him and confirm what was said about him. It was also he who built a temple for the worship of God, which temple was the best, made with much zeal and dedication.

All this was made possible by a choice that Solomon did. Early in his reign, he was concerned with the worship of the Lord, by encouraging people to do the same. Placed under the action of the Lord and not relied on their own strength. At that time it was required the sacrifice of animals, and the fact that Solomon had offered the Lord 1000 animals while he and the people loved shows us that he had a generous heart, because you deserve the best.

How many times we are not able to make small sacrifices to worship the Lord, but we give excuses when we don't want to leave our comfort and convenience!

Pleased God of Solomon and gave him the opportunity to make a wish, and Solomon asked for wisdom. He knew he had a big responsibility and wanted to follow it faithfully. This shows where was his heart. When making this request, I thought not only in yourself, what would be in it, but what would be best for the people.

By the wise application of Solomon, and God and the benefit of the people as top priority, God added all the other things that maybe many would request: wealth, wealth, fame. If God did this proposal to you, what would you ask? What is the priority of your life? Where is your heart? Have the correct priorities and you'll see the hand of God constantly acting in your life, both in good times as in bad.

Domínio Leitura bíblica: 1 João 5.1-5  _________________ A mentalidade da carne é morte, mas a mentalidade do Espírito é vida e paz (Romanos 8.6). _________________

Dominar é poder fazer o que se quiser, mas possuir ainda não é dominar. Ou seja, se você comprou e pagou um carrão, isso não o protege de jogá-lo contra um poste.

Mas talvez você não tenha um carrão, e sim a falta de uma porção de coisas. Todavia, você com certeza possui sua própria vida. Ninguém tem direito de mexer nela ou de tirá-la de você. Daí cabe perguntar: você tem pleno domínio sobre essa sua maior posse e pode mesmo dizer: “Na minha vida mando eu”?

Quando seu chefe não deixa você tirar férias agora... quando você fica fora de si de raiva... adoece... se apaixona... entra em pânico... cede à compulsão das drogas ou talvez de só desperdiçar o salário com inutilidades... fica em crise porque perdeu um capítulo da novela... perde o sono por medo do futuro... a vida parece não valer mais nada e vêm ideias de suicídio... é assaltado... sua família é um inferno... então, quem manda na sua vida?

Muito disso não podemos controlar; outra parte até deveríamos dominar, mas o fato é que essa de aqui mando eu é uma tremenda ilusão, concorda? O que fazer com ela? Geralmente se faz algo assim: 1) admitir a derrota, deixar a vida escoar pelo ralo e viver triste ou desleixado; 2) partir para a luta e tornar-se raivoso, orgulhoso, intratável e novamente dominado, agora pelo orgulho, ou 3) enquanto tudo anda bem, fazer de conta que se manda mesmo na vida; só que quando algo de repente vai mal, entra-se em parafuso. E o problema continua – como livrar-se dele?

O meio realmente eficaz é humilhante e por isso muitos o rejeitam: jogar fora a ilusão, confessar ao Criador que se está a zero e pedir a ele que restaure o que se quebrou.

Jesus, o Filho de Deus, morreu para enterrar nosso falso domínio e ressuscitou para participarmos do domínio dele, movido pelo amor e a sabedoria de Deus, e nos dar liberdade verdadeira. Ele é quem melhor sabe como “funcionamos”.
