Fim de ano Leitura bíblica: Salmo 73.23-28 _____________________ Sempre estou contigo; tomas a minha mão direita e me susténs. Tu me diriges com o teu conselho e depois me recebes com honras (Salmos 73.23-24). _____________________

Alguém contou a seguinte história: “Eu disse a um anjo que estava à porta de um novo ano: Dá-me uma luz para que eu possa desviar-me de todas as incertezas com passos firmes. Mas o anjo respondeu: Entra na escuridão e coloca a tua mão na mão de Deus. Isso é melhor do que uma luz e mais seguro que um caminho conhecido”. Eis aí um maravilhoso ensino para nós a quem o Senhor concedeu a graça de viver mais um ano. Normalmente as pessoas encaram o novo ano com certa ansiedade. Muitos gostariam de saber o que acontecerá, se ficarão doentes, se terão sucesso, se tudo dará certo na família ou no trabalho. Por isso consultam videntes, vão à procura de adivinhos e similares. É a tentativa de ter alguma clareza para o novo ano. Mas é uma busca vã. Ninguém sabe o que os dias nos trarão. E todos os que pretensiosamente afirmam o que o ano trará nada mais são do que enganadores. Na maioria das vezes dizem o que as pessoas gostariam de ouvir. Mas não têm nem conhecem a verdade. Quão diferente é quando se inicia o ano na presença de Deus. No texto lido, Asafe também tinha ansiedades. Muitas coisas ele não compreendia. Isso o deixava aflito. Mas então ele diz que, ao colocar-se na presença de Deus (versos 16-17) encontrou descanso e paz. Descobriu que o Senhor é quem nos segura pela mão. Importa, sim, colocar a mão na mão de Jesus. Isso é mais do que uma luzinha. Este Senhor também nos guia por meio da sua Palavra. Para cada dia, em cada situação, ele tem uma palavra para cada um. Sua Palavra é a verdadeira luz (Salmos 119.105). Nela encontramos caminhos, seja o que vier. Ela nos leva à presença do Senhor, que garante receber-nos com honras. Sim, ele honra os que confiam nele. Ele cumpre a sua promessa. Ele não nos deixará. Esta certeza nos deixa encarar o próximo ano com confiança. Confie nele! (LSCH)

Não precisamos saber o que virá, mas que o Senhor nunca nos deixa sozinhos.

Escolhas / Choices

Escolhas LEITURA BÍBLICA: 2 Samuel 11.1-5 __________________ Se você fizer o bem, não será aceito? Mas se não o fizer, saiba que o pecado o ameaça à porta; ele deseja conquistá-lo, mas você deve dominá-lo. (Gênesis 4.7). __________________

A nossa vida é feita de escolhas. Podemos escolher o que é certo e bom, mas também somos livres para escolher o que é errado e mau. Contudo, para cada escolha existe uma consequência, “pois o que o homem semear, isso também colherá. Quem semeia para sua carne, da carne colherá destruição; mas quem semeia para o Espírito, do Espírito colherá vida eterna” (Gálatas 6.7-8).

         O versículo em destaque faz parte do diálogo de Deus com Caim, quando este queria matar seu irmão Abel. Deus lhe deixa muito claro que ele não precisava fazer o mal – poderia fazer o bem. Todavia, mesmo alertado das consequências, escolheu o mal. Por isso Deus lhe disse: “Agora amaldiçoado é você pela terra, que abriu a boca para receber da sua mão o sangue do seu irmão. Quando você cultivar a terra, esta não lhe dará da sua força. Você será um fugitivo errante pelo mundo” (Gênesis 4.11-12).

         O rei Davi também fez uma escolha má. Numa tarde, ao levantar-se, vê uma mulher muito bonita tomando banho. É informado que se trata de Bate-Seba, mulher de Urias, mas mesmo assim pede que ela seja trazida até ele e se deita com ela. Depois, para não ser descoberto, faz outra má escolha, desta vez matando Urias. Contudo, colheu frutos amargos dessas escolhas. Por intermédio do profeta Natã, Deus lhe diz: “Por que você desprezou a palavra do Senhor, fazendo o que ele reprova? Você matou Urias, e ficou com a mulher dele. Por isso, a espada nunca se afastará da sua família, pois você me desprezou” (2 Samuel 12.9-10).

         Estes são exemplos de pessoas que fizeram más escolhas. Mas também há aqueles que fizeram escolhas certas. Sugiro que você leia a história de Zaqueu em Lucas 19.1-10. Contudo, quero lhe perguntar: quais têm sido as suas escolhas? Medite sobre elas e lembre-se de que para cada escolha existe uma consequência. (Marcos Passig)

O passado você não pode mudar, mas hoje você pode fazer a escolha certa.

The our life is made up of choices. We can choose what is right and good, but we are also free to choose what is wrong and bad. However, for every choice there is a consequence, "for whatever a man sows, that also reap. He that soweth to his flesh, the flesh will reap destruction; but he that soweth to the spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life "(Galatians 6.7-8).

The verse highlighted part of the dialogue of God with Cain when he wanted to kill his brother Abel. God makes it very clear to him that he didn't have to do evil – could do good. However, even warned of the consequences, you picked the wrong. So God said to him: "Now you are cursed by the Earth, which opened her mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand. When you cultivate the land, this will not give you your strength. You will be a fugitive wandering around the world "(Genesis 4.11-12).

King David also made a bad choice. One afternoon, when he gets up, he sees a beautiful woman taking a bath. Is informed about Bathsheba, Uriah's wife, but nevertheless asks that she be brought to him and goes to bed with her. Then, not to be discovered, makes another bad choice, this time killing Urias. However, reaped bitter fruits of these choices. Through the Prophet Nathan, God tells him: "why have you despised the word of the Lord, doing what he disapproves? You killed Uriah, and stayed with his wife. Therefore, the sword will never depart from your family, because you despised me "(2 Samuel 10-12.9).

These are examples of people who made bad choices. But there are also those who have made certain choices. I suggest that you read the story of Zacchaeus in Luke 10-19.1. Quando Deus promete / When God promises

Quando Deus promete LEITURA BÍBLICA: Juízes 2.1-5 _________________ Eu disse: Jamais quebrarei  a minha aliança com vocês (Juízes 2.1c). ________________

Costuma-se dizer que promessas são dívidas. A boa tradição é que uma promessa dada deve ser cumprida. Se o cumprimento se tornar impossível, deve ser renegociada. Entretanto, é bastante comum não se levar isso a sério, a ponto de simples promessas nem serem aceitas, mas se exigir algum tipo de garantia para o seu cumprimento. É mais ou menos como fez Tomé, um dos discípulos de Jesus: só acreditou vendo!

Nessas horas, o que fazer quando precisamos de alguém de confiança? Muitas vezes, só arriscando.

Deus se apresenta aos homens como alguém digno de total confiança. Não é um risco confiar em Deus. Ele é absolutamente honesto e correto. Jamais – repetindo: jamais vai falhar em suas promessas. Não poderia ser diferente com o Deus verdadeiro, criador do céu e da terra.

Deus encarregou ao seu anjo de falar ao povo de Israel acerca da promessa que lhe tinha feito. Cumpriu sua promessa, não mentiu, não falhou, não errou.

O povo, ao contrário, quebrou a aliança feita com Deus. Para os israelitas, então, a consequência da recusa em ouvir e obedecer a Deus foi certamente bem pior do que imaginaram: perderam o favor de Deus e tiveram de conviver com um povo corrompido e idólatra, que passou a ser seu adversário e uma armadilha para sua existência. Se o povo de Israel tivesse preservado sua aliança com Deus, certamente os versículos seguintes não seriam de derrota, mas de vitória.

Deus nunca vai prometer algo que não vá cumprir. É importante não esquecer isso. Assim, quando precisarmos de alguém digno de confiança, Deus sempre será a opção certa em primeiro lugar. Em Deus não há frustração. (ACS/VS)

When God promises BIBLE READING: Judges 2.1-5 ___________________ I said: never break my Covenant with you (Judges 2.1 c). ___________________

It is often said that promises are debts. The good tradition is that a promise given must be fulfilled. If compliance becomes impossible, must be renegotiated. However, it is quite common not to take this seriously, to the point of simple promises not being accepted, but if you require any type of guarantee for its fulfilment. It's more or less how did Thomas, one of the disciples of Jesus: just bought!

At such times, what to do when you need someone I can trust? Often, just risking.

God introduces himself to man as someone worthy of full confidence. It is not a risk to trust God. He is absolutely honest and forthright. Ever-repeating: never fails in his promise. Could not be otherwise with the true God, creator of heaven and Earth.

God entrusted to his Angel to speak to the people of Israel about the promise he had made him. He fulfilled his promise, not lie, not failed, didn't miss.

The people, on the contrary, broke the Alliance made with God. For the Israelis, so the consequence of refusal to hear and obey God has certainly been far worse than imagined: they lost the favor of God and had to live with a people corrupt and idolatrous, who happened to be his opponent and a trap for their existence. If the people of Israel had preserved his Covenant with God, surely the verses following would not defeat, but for victory.

God will never promise something that can't fulfill. It is important not to forget that. So, when we need someone trustworthy, God will always be the right choice in the first place. In God there is no frustration. (ACS/VS)

Levante-se LEITURA BÍBLICA: Ezequiel 2.1-7 ____________________________ Não fui eu que lhe ordenei? Seja forte e corajoso! Não se apavore, nem se desanime, pois o Senhor, o seu Deus, estará com você por onde você andar (Josué 1.9) ____________________________

            Se hoje Deus lhe mostrar uma oportunidade para falar do seu amor, você estará pronto? Concordo que pode não ser fácil falar da Palavra para quem não a conhece. Mas penso que deve ser mais difícil ainda não falar quando sabemos que existe alguém que precisa ouvir e conhecer a verdade do evangelho. A Bíblia fala de muitas pessoas que foram enviadas para anunciar a Palavra de Deus. Os profetas, por exemplo, frequentemente precisavam advertir o povo que se afastava de Deus. Grandes líderes eram também incumbidos de enfrentar povos inimigos, reis e até exércitos para defender o nome do Senhor. Não dá para comparar uma situação com a outra, mas podemos ver que ambas têm em comum a presença de Deus. Quando Deus envia alguém para anunciar, libertar ou salvar, ele vai junto.

         Da mesma forma Deus nos acompanha quando nos envia para falar da sua Palavra. Não somente vai conosco, como vai à nossa frente. Por isso, não precisamos temer o que pode nos acontecer. Se Deus tocar o seu coração para testemunhar do seu amor, vá e demonstre-o. Mas é importante entender que não cabe a nós decidirmos ser profetas que acusam as pessoas ou heróis que encaram um batalhão. Devemos ser servos que se colocam na dependência de Deus para ele nos usar conforme a sua vontade. Se como profeta ou líder, se a tarefa é grande ou pequena, se vamos atingir muitas ou poucas pessoas, é Deus quem decide. O que nós precisamos fazer é nos colocar à disposição de Deus. Assim como Ezequiel, devemos colocar-nos de pé, ou seja, estar prontos para quando Deus nos quiser usar para falar dele. Você está preparado para quando Deus o chamar para anunciar a sua Palavra? Então, levante-se e vá, porque Deus estará à sua frente. (DS)

Deus nos chama para receber seu amor e para passá-lo adiante.

            If today God show you an opportunity to talk about your love, you'll be ready? I agree that it may not be easy to say the Word for those who don't know her. But I think it should be even harder not to talk when we know that there is someone who needs to hear and know the truth of the Gospel. The Bible speaks of many people who were sent to announce the word of God. The prophets, for example, often had to warn the people who strayed from God. Great leaders were also tasked with addressing people enemies, Kings and even armies to defend the name of the Lord. You can't compare a situation with another, but we can see that both have in common the presence of God. When God sends someone to announce, release or save, he goes along.

Similarly God join us when you send us to speak his word. Not only will us, what's in front of us. So we need not fear what can happen to us. If God touches your heart to witness of his love, go and demonstrate. But it is important to understand that it's not for us to decide to be prophets who accuse people or heroes who are a battalion. We must be slaves which arise in dependence on God for he use us according to his will. As Prophet or leader, if the task is large or small, if we're going to hit many or few people, it's God who decides. What we need to do is put ourselves at the disposal of God. Just as Ezekiel, we must ask ourselves up, IE, be ready when God wants to use us to talk about it. Are you prepared for when God the call to announce his word?
