Gratidão / Gratitude

Leitura Bíblica: Salmos 92:1-5

Deem graças em todas as circunstâncias, pois esta é a vontade de Deus para vocês em Cristo Jesus (I Tessalonicenses 5:18).

Hoje contemplei um belo dia ao acordar. A manhã estava esplendorosa, com o céu limpo e o sol brilhando. No mesmo instante meu coração encheu-se de alegria e não tive como deixar de elevar meus pensamentos a Deus, dando-lhe graças por mais um dia de vida, por ter permitido uma vez mais o meu levantar. Agradeci-lhe por constatar que a sua misericórdia se renova a cada manhã (Lamentações 3:22-23) sobre minha vida.

Pensei nas pessoas que dormiram na noite anterior e não viram o novo dia chegar. Além disso, quantas estão em um leito de hospital e os dias sucedem um ao outro sem que elas notem? Outras, prisioneiras, veem todos os dias da mesma maneira: cinzentos. Enquanto isso, tenho saúde, liberdade e alegria, e posso desfrutar de mais um presente do Senhor – um novo dia! Reconheci que se eu estava viva era porque Deus havia me guardado em todo o dia anterior, e ao perceber essa verdade, meu coração explodiu em louvor e gratidão a Deus!

Precisamos admitir nossa total dependência do Senhor e ser gratos por tudo quanto Ele nos tem feito. Afinal, é Deus quem nos permite acordar, levantar, trabalhar para que possamos adquirir o pão de cada dia, retornar para casa e repousar. Devemos agradecer a Ele pelo sol que brilha no céu, aquecendo a Terra e nos fornecendo calor, mas também pela chuva que cai, regando o solo e fazendo germinar as sementes que se transformarão em frutos que nos alimentarão. Principalmente, devemos louvar a Deus por seu amor incondicional e por sua fidelidade, benignidade e misericórdia, que se estendem dia após dia sobre nós. Temos infinitos motivos para expressar nossa gratidão a Deus. Então, sejamos gratos ao Senhor, porque dele depende tudo que somos e temos! – CPB

Gratitude

Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

Today I beheld a beautiful day upon waking. The morning was splendid, with clear skies and the sun shining. At the same moment my heart was filled with joy and I didn't have to leave to raise my thoughts to God, giving him thanks for another day of life, for having once again allowed my raise. I thanked him by noting that his mercy is renewed every morning (Lamentations 3:22 -23) about my life.

I thought the people who slept the night before and have not seen the new day comes. In addition, how many are in a hospital bed and the days succeed each other without them noticing? Other prisoners, they see every day in the same way: grey. Meanwhile, I have health, freedom and joy, and I can enjoy over a gift of the Lord – a new day! I realized that if I was alive was because God had saved me throughout the previous day, and to realize this truth, my heart burst into praise and gratitude to God!

We need to admit our total dependence on the Lord and be thankful for all that he has done. After all, it is God who allows us to wake up, raise, work so that we can get the daily bread, return home and rest. We should thank him by the sun shining in the sky, heating the Earth and providing heat, but also because of the rain that falls, watering the soil and germinate the seeds that will become fruits which we feed. Mainly, we should praise God for your unconditional love and your faithfulness, kindness and mercy, which extend on us day after day. We have endless reasons to express our gratitude to God. So, we are grateful to the Lord, because it depends on everything that we are and we have! -CPB
