O que é um amuleto ou talismã?
É uma figura
gravada em pedra ou metal a que se atribui alguma virtude sobrenatural.
Popularmente, o amuleto é tido como objeto de sorte - a pessoa agarra-se a ele
e deposita sua esperança ali.
Estranha-me
observar o que estão fazendo com a Bíblia, a própria Palavra de Deus.
Estão
transformando-a em amuleto! A moda é deixar a Bíblia aberta no Salmo 90 ou
23, achando que isso resolverá algo.
Engano. Sabe
por quê?
Porque a
Bíblia aberta em cima de um apoio qualquer, não fará diferença nenhuma. Será
apenas mais um livro aberto: ela não tem poder nem de purificar o ambiente, nem
de guardar a sua casa - a Bíblia não é mágica.
Gosto do
texto em destaque, que mostra a importância de entender o que está escrito na
Palavra de Deus. Esse texto registra um momento importante, em que Neemias
convoca o sacerdote Esdras, para ler o livro da lei de Deus, diante de todo o
povo.
A Bíblia
precisa ser lida.
Simplesmente
aberta, ela não fará nenhuma diferença em sua vida. Todavia, mudará tudo, se
você a ler e entender a leitura, fazendo como o autor do Salmo 119.11:
"Guardei no coração a tua palavra para não pecar contra ti".
Só terei
consciência do meu erro, quando ler a Bíblia e a entender.
Aquele povo
entendeu a explicação da leitura, e o verso 9 diz, que
todas as pessoas choravam ao ouvir a palavra da lei. Quando lemos a Bíblia,
quando ela é explicada e a entendemos, nós reagimos.
