Leia em sua Bíblia: Salmo 100.1-5
"Servi ao Senhor com alegria" (Salmo 100.2 a).
Em geral, as empresas gostam de
afirmar, que servir ao cliente é sua maior alegria, contudo, sabemos que não é
bem isso. O prazer de uma empresa é mesmo ganhar dinheiro, e o serviço ao
cliente, é apenas um meio para esse fim. É natural que seja assim e,
descontando a falta de sinceridade, não há mal nenhum no procedimento delas.
De fato,
ter prazer ou alegria em servir, parece contraditório. Normalmente preferimos
ser servidos a servir.
Quando o Salmo
100 fala em servir ao Senhor, o serviço em que o autor pensa, antes de
tudo, é o ato de culto a Deus, mas este não deixava também de ser, uma
obrigação, e nesse sentido, não era muito diferente de quaisquer outros
serviços, que sempre custam algo - no caso, os sacrifícios materiais,
oferecidos na ocasião.
De onde
viria então a alegria em servir?
Não podemos
fabricar alegria, decidindo estar alegres. É verdade que muitos tentam isso,
mas, essas tentativas não passam de casca sem conteúdo. Apenas como exemplo, a
maior dessas tentativas é o carnaval. Ruim ou não, é uma alegria no mínimo
vazia.
E então?
O texto
lido, fala em gratidão pelo cuidado de Deus conosco, como um pastor zela pelo
seu rebanho (v 3).
O salmo também
louva o amor e a fidelidade de Deus (v 5). São razões para ser
grato e se alegrar, portanto, a origem de tudo é o "serviço" que
primeiramente Deus presta a nós, ao nos conceder todos os bens da nossa vida.
Pelo fato
de Deus ser a fonte de tudo que é bom (Tiago 1.17), a Bíblia
afirma que a verdadeira alegria provém de convivermos com Deus (Neemias
8.10 C; Filipenses 4.4) e ela será tanto maior e mais estável,
quanto mais íntima for essa convivência.
Quando isso
acontecer, qualquer coisa que fizermos será prazerosa, assim, quem vive desse
modo, pode dar-se ao luxo de ter alegria, mesmo naquelas atividades que não
parecem atraentes - como prestar serviços, mesmo sem remuneração! (R.E)
Servir à Fonte da alegria só pode resultar em prazer!
Pleasure to serve
Read in your
Bible: Psalm 100.1-5
"Serve
the Lord with joy" (Psalm 100.2).
In General, companies like to say, that serve the customer is their greatest joy, however, we know that's not the point. The pleasure of a company is to make money, and the customer service is just a means to that end. It is natural that way and, discounting the lack of sincerity, there's no harm in them.
In fact, take pleasure or joy
in serving, it seems contradictory. Normally we prefer to be served to serve.
When the Psalm 100
speaks in serving the Lord, the service in which the author thinks is, first of
all, the Act of worship to God, but this wouldn't be, an obligation, and in
that sense, it wasn't much different from any other services which always cost
something-in this case, the material sacrifices, offered on occasion.
Where then the joy in serving?
We can't produce joy, deciding
to be gay. It is true that many try to it, but these attempts are contentless
bark. Just as an example, the largest of these trials is the Carnival. Bad or
no, it's a joy at least empty.
And then?
The text read, speaks in
gratitude for the care of God with us, as a shepherd watches over his flock (v
3).
The Psalm also praises the
love and faithfulness of God (v. 5). Are reasons to be thankful and
rejoice, therefore, the origin of all is the "service" that first God
provides us, to grant us all the goods of our life.
Because God is the source of
all that is good (James 1.17), the Bible States that the real joy comes
to live with God (Nehemiah 8.10 C; Philippians 4.4) and she will
be both larger and more stable, the more intimate is this coexistence.
When that happens, anything we
do will be enjoyable, as well, who lives in this way, can afford to have joy,
even in those activities that don't look attractive-how to render services,
even without pay. (R E)
Serve the fountain of joy can
only result in pleasure!
