Leia em sua Bíblia: Números 26.51-56

"A herança que se obtém com ganância no princípio, no final não será abençoada" (Provérbios 20.21).

No texto que você acabou de ler, Moisés recebeu instruções de Deus, sobre como o território de Canaã deveria ser dividido entre as tribos de Israel, quando fosse conquistado. A terra lhes seria dada como herança - e foi (os capítulos 13 a 21 de Josué, explicam como se deu esta divisão).

Partilha, testamento, inventário, propriedade privada, território, limite, advogado, testemunha, medidas (e, muitas vezes, intrigas)... Todas estas palavras fazem sentido, quando o assunto é divisão de propriedades entre as pessoas, sejam elas parentes ou não. Todos têm seus direitos e os reivindicam com veemência - com ou sem razão, de modo justo ou injusto.

Quantos casos já ouvimos sobre situações de partilha que tristemente acabam em tragédia ou causam brigas sem fim?

No versículo em destaque, a Bíblia nos faz um alerta.

Deus sabe o que é melhor para nós! Além disso, há algumas diretrizes legais, para ajudar as pessoas que precisam fazer partilhas de bens, a resolver questões de posse. Tais pessoas poderiam pensar na união da família ou no fortalecimento dos relacionamentos e na divisão apenas da herança. Mas muitas vezes o que acontece na realidade é que, cada um quer ter mais, mesmo que isto custe a separação entre as pessoas.

Surge então a pergunta: vale a pena dividir famílias, grupos ou mesmo nações, por falta de consenso sobre as pessoas?

Como seria bom se os valores e princípios cristãos prevalecessem acima de questões financeiras e políticas! As pessoas seriam muito mais felizes, se os bens materiais não fossem tão importantes para elas.

Quantos problemas e brigas seriam evitados!

Que possamos manter o foco nas coisas que realmente fazem diferença em nossa vida, como o amor, a união e o perdão.

A paz e a felicidade não são resultado da abundância de bens materiais - então por que brigar tanto por eles? - ACS/VS

Nenhuma herança é mais valiosa do que a união e a manutenção de bons relacionamentos

Read in your Bible: Numbers 26.51-56

"The inheritance obtained with greed in the beginning, in the end will not be blessed" (Proverbs 20.21).

In the text that you just read, Moses received instruction from God, on the territory of Canaan should be divided among the tribes of Israel, when it was conquered. The land would be given to them as an inheritance-( chapters 13 to 21 of Joshua, explain how did this Division).

Sharing, Testament, inventory, personal property, land, boundary, lawyer, witness, measures (and often intrigues) ... All these words make sense, when it comes to property division between people, whether they are related or not. Everyone has their rights and the claim vehemently-rightly or wrongly, so fair or unfair.

How many cases have we heard about sharing situations that sadly end in tragedy or cause endless fights?

In verse in featured, the Bible makes us an alert.

God knows what is best for us! In addition, there are some legal guidelines, to help people who need to make goods shares, to resolve questions of ownership. Such people might consider family Union or in the strengthening of the relationships and Division of inheritance. But often what happens in reality is that each wants to have more, even though this cost the separation between people.

So the question arises: is it worth to divide families, groups or even Nations, by lack of consensus about the people?

How nice it would be if the values and Christian principles should prevail over financial and political issues. People would be much happier if the material possessions weren't so important to them.

How many problems and fights would be avoided.

We can keep the focus on the things that really make a difference in our life, like love, Union and forgiveness.

Peace and happiness are not a result of the abundance of material possessions-so why fight so much for them? -ACS/VS
