Leia em sua Bíblia: 2 Timóteo 3. 14-17

"Como eu amo a tua lei! Medito nela o dia inteiro" (Salmos 119.97).

Lembro-me de que, quando criança, sempre ouvia alguma coisa sobre a Palavra de Deus. Em casa com os meus pais, na igreja durante os cultos, e principalmente no culto infantil. Mas também me recordo de que em nenhum momento naquela época, realmente dava importância para aquilo que ouvia ou a colocava em prática. Somente na minha juventude, quando cheguei efetivamente à fé em Jesus Cristo, é que pude compreender  o valor das Sagradas Escrituras para a minha vida.

Mesmo que eu nunca tenha dado importância a essa Palavra na minha infância, tudo o que aprendi da Bíblia, ainda estava gravado, quando vim a crer de fato. Entendi que Deus sempre falou comigo, mas que eu nunca lhe havia dado ouvidos. 

Isso me fez compreender um pouco melhor, um dos versículos do livro de Provérbios: "Ensina a criança o caminho em que deve andar, e, ainda quando for velho não se desviará dele" (Provérbios 2.6).

Conhecer a Palavra de Deus e ser instruído nela faz uma grande diferença em nossa vida.

Essa é a importância das Sagradas Escrituras que Paulo descreve na sua carta a Timóteo.

No texto da leitura de hoje, o apóstolo quer animar Timóteo, a enfrentar as dificuldades por meio da orientação da Bíblia. Paulo o lembra, de que ele aprendeu sobre a Palavra de Deus desde a infância. Foi essa Palavra que lhe deu sabedoria e o levou para a salvação.

A Sagrada Escritura é Palavra de Deus que nos mostra o caminho para a salvação em Jesus Cristo. Se foi esta Palavra que ajudou Timóteo a encontrar o caminho certo, também será por meio dela que ele encontraria orientação e perseverança para vencer as batalhas da vida.

Read in your Bible: 2 Timothy 3. 14-17

"How I love thy law! I meditate on it all day long "(Psalms 119.97).

I remember when I was a kid, I always heard something about the word of God. At home with my parents in the Church during the cults, and mainly in children's worship. But also remember that at no time in those days, really give importance to what we hear or put into practice. Only in my youth, when I came to faith in Jesus Christ effectively, could I understand the value of Holy Scripture for my life.

Even though I never gave importance to that word in my childhood, I've learned from the Bible, was still recorded, when I came to believe indeed. I understood that God always spoke to me, but I never had listened.

It made me understand a little better, one of the verses of the book of Proverbs: "train a child the way he should go: and when he is old he will not depart from it" (Proverbs 2.6).

Know the word of God and be instructed in it makes a big difference in our lives.

This is the significance of Holy Scripture that Paul describes in his letter to Timothy.

In the text of the reading today, the Apostle wants to animate Timothy, to face the difficulties through the guidance of the Bible. Paul reminds him, that he learned about the word of God since childhood. It was this Word which gave him wisdom and took him to lifeline.

Sacred Scripture is the word of God that shows us the way to salvation in Jesus Christ. If it was this Word which helped Timothy to find the right path will also be through her that he would find guidance and perseverance to win the battles of life.
