Leitura Bíblica: Salmos 119:149-176

Há muito que aprendi dos teus testemunhos que os estabeleceste para sempre (Salmos 119:152).

O salmista declara diante de Deus sentimentos paradoxais, aparentemente conflitantes aos nossos olhos humanos por um lado, o desconforto em relação aos ímpios, que em geral se aproximam dos justos com más intenções, cometendo ações não aprovadas pela Palavra de Deus; por outro, demonstra sua confiança e a firmeza da sua fé na presença constante do Deus Altíssimo: “Tu estás perto e os teus mandamentos são verdadeiros”.

Ao reconhecer a veracidade e a fidelidade dos preceitos divinos, reafirma sua fé e sua certeza de que tais prescrições são eternas, como foram desde o princípio.

Deus não muda nunca; Ele é hoje o mesmo que foi ontem e o será eternamente. Ele não é homem para mentir nem para voltar atrás no que disse (Números 23:19).

Declara, também, a paz que temos como filhos do Altíssimo, em relação à sua Palavra eterna.

Também nós às vezes nos sentimos inseguros em nossa vida diária, descontentes com o “imerecido” progresso e as vitórias dos que desprezam Deus, e nos incomodamos com as investidas sobre nós, chegando a reclamar diante do Senhor.

Mas o caminho dos ímpios, a jornada do mal, leva-os a perecer, pois quem despreza a Palavra de Deus acaba por cair e ser derrotado (Salmos 1:6): cada um colhe o que planta, diz o apóstolo Paulo em Gálatas 6:7.

Devemos, todavia, como o salmista confiar na eternidade do amor divino, na inabalável postura do Senhor em cumprir a sua Palavra de nos amar, de nos conduzir com a sua mão forte e abençoadora, de não nos desamparar em tempo algum (Hebreus 13:5).

Jesus nos amou primeiro, nos ama e amará até ao fim. Sendo fiéis a esse imensurável amor por nós, não há o que temer. A vereda da obediência e da confiança nos faz desembarcar bem dentro do coração de Deus. – (ETA)

A fé não dá espaço para o receio de que Deus não cumpra suas promessas.

Bible reading: Psalms 119: 149-176

There's a lot I learned of thy testimonies that thou hast set up forever (Psalms 119: 152).

The psalmist declares before God paradoxical feelings apparently conflicting with our human eyes on the one hand, the discomfort in relation to wicked, that in general approach of the righteous with bad intentions, committing actions not approved by the word of God; on the other hand, demonstrates its confidence and firmness of your faith in God Almighty's constant presence: "you're close and your commandments are true".

To recognize the truth and fidelity of divine precepts, reaffirms its faith and certainty that such requirements are eternal, as they were from the beginning.

God does not change ever; He is now the same as it was yesterday and will be forever. He is not a man to lie or go back in that said (23:19).

States, too, the peace that we have as children of the most high, in relation to his eternal Word.

Also we sometimes we feel insecure in our daily life, unhappy with the "undeserved" progress and the victories of those who despise God, and bother with the assaults on us, coming to claim before the Lord.

But the path of the wicked, evil, journey takes them to perish, because who despises the word of God eventually fall and be defeated (Psalms 1: 6): each reap what you sow, the Apostle Paul says in Galatians 6: 7.

We must, however, as the psalmist trust in eternity of divine love, unwavering stance of the Lord to fulfill his word to love, to lead with his strong hand and who blesses, not prejudicing in any time (Hebrews 13: 5).

Jesus loved us first, in love and will love to the end. Being faithful to this immeasurable love for us, there is nothing to fear. The path of obedience and confidence makes us land well within the heart of God. -(ETA)

Faith does not give room for the fear that God does not comply with its promises.
