Somente quem tem vida íntegra me servirá” (Salmos 101:6). Vale a pena servir a
– (MM)
Servir ao Senhor com alegria é
resultado de nosso amor a Deus.
Living to serve
Scripture Reading: Mark 10:35-45
Not even the Son of
man is come to be
served but to serve
(Mark 10:45 a).
Serving is the
proposal of life
that the Lord Jesus
Christ left us. Besides teaching this, He
exemplified with
their attitudes what it meant. The Son
of God deserved to be served by all, but chose to devote himself to others - including dying on
a cross to give
eternal life to those who believe in him. On one occasion,
he washed the feet of his disciples and said: "I have given you
an example, that ye should do as I have done"
(John 13:15). In today's
text, he showed that the Kingdom of God will be the one who serves is important.
Service is helping, cooperating and facilitating people's lives. It's working for others to have what we want for us too - is comfort, health, education, happiness or supply of material and spiritual needs.
Unfortunately, in this day and age there is more exploitation than cooperation. Just look around and you'll see plenty of evidence of this: people seeking their own interests, whether it will have to "go over" who stands in your way. This also happens in the church. The pursuit of personal satisfaction at the expense of others is also very clear in the lives of many who claim to be Christians.
Therefore, those who wish to follow the example set by Christ and to please God with your life must be faithful to him serving and sharing what they have, cooperating with God's work on earth.
To conclude, let us look at another scripture: "My eyes approve the faithful of the land, and they shall dwell with me. Only those who have a life full serve me "(Psalm 101:6). Worth serving God and neighbor with our lives and with our goods, talents, time ... Everything we receive from God can be used to glorify Him! - (MM)
Serve the Lord with gladness is the result of our love for God.
