Caminhão de lixo

Um amigo
precisava ir ao aeroporto. Tomou um táxi e puseram-se a caminho. O dia estava
agradável e o trânsito fluía sem problemas. Estavam quase chegando quando de
repente uma camionete surgiu à frente. O motorista do táxi freou bruscamente,
mas conseguiu livrar-se um acidente, que teria sido grave. O motorista do outro
veículo sacudiu as mãos em gestos obscenos e ainda gritou palavrões. O taxista
apenas sorriu e acenou para o indivíduo. Não havia ódio nem agressividade em
seus gestos.
Então,
inconformado, meu amigo lhe perguntou: “Por que você fez isso? Aquele homem
quase provoca um grave acidente e por pouco não fomos para o hospital, e você
apenas se limita a fazer um aceno de amizade? O que é isso?”
Foi quando o
motorista lhe ensinou o que ele agora chama de Lei do Caminhão de Lixo. Ele explicou:
“Muitas pessoas são como caminhões de lixo. Andam por aí carregadas do ‘lixo’
das frustrações, de raiva, ódio, vingança e maldade. E à medida que seus
pacotes de lixo aumentam, elas precisam de um lugar para descarregar, e às
vezes querem descarregar sobre a gente. O que eu fiz foi apenas sorrir e
manifestar a minha amizade. No meu coração eu estava dizendo: ‘Eu não quero seu
lixo. Siga em paz o seu caminho!’” Possivelmente mesmo sem saber, aquele
taxista estava praticando o princípio bíblico de não abrigar em si sentimentos
de cólera, ira e malícia, nem de expressá-los por meio de palavras indecorosas…
e suportar uns aos outros, perdoando-os. Precisamos orar por aqueles que nos
fazem mal, conforme Jesus ensinou no Sermão do Monte (confira em Mateus
5.44-45). O apóstolo Paulo também insiste nisso em Romanos 12.17-21, que resume
assim: “Não se deixem vencer pelo mal, mas vençam o mal com o bem”.

A
friend had to go to the airport. Took a cab and put themselves on the way. The
day was nice and the traffic flowed smoothly. Were almost there when suddenly a
van emerged ahead. The taxi driver stopped short, but managed to get rid of an
accident, it would have been bad. The driver of the other vehicle shook hands
in obscene gestures and even shouted profanity. The taxi driver just smiled and
waved to the individual. There was no hatred or aggression in their gestures.
Then,
not satisfied, my friend asked him: "why did you do that? That man almost
causes a serious accident and went to the hospital, and you just simply do a
wave of friendship? What's that? "
That's
when the driver taught her what he now calls Law
of the garbage truck. He explained: "many
people are like garbage trucks. There are loaded from the ' trash ' of frustration,
anger, hatred, revenge and malice. And as your garbage packages increase, they
need a place to put it, and sometimes they want to unload on us. What I did was
just smiling and express my friendship. In my heart I was saying: ' I don't
want your junk. Follow in peace your way! ' " Possibly without even
knowing, that driver was practicing the biblical principle of not harboring
itself feelings of anger, wrath and malice, or express them through
inappropriate words ... and support each other, forgiving them. We need to pray
for those who hurt us, as Jesus taught in the sermon on the mount (check out
Matthew 5.44-45). The Apostle Paul also insists that in Romans 12.17-21, that
sums up this way: "don't let them overcome by evil, but overcome evil with
good".
