O Senhor é bom / The Lord is good

Leia em sua Bíblia: Salmo 145.8-15

"O Senhor é bom para todos; a sua compaixão alcança todas as suas criaturas" (Salmo 145.9).

Ao ler o livro de Salmos, encontramos inúmeras vezes a afirmação da bondade do Senhor: "Provem, e vejam como o Senhor é bom", escreve Davi (Salmo 34.8). "O Senhor é bom e o seu amor leal é eterno; a sua fidelidade permanece por todas as gerações" (Salmo 100.5), e esta bondade não é somente demonstrada a alguns, mas a todos, como lemos no versículo em destaque.

Muitas vezes pode-se ter a impressão de que Deus é alguém totalmente indiferente à nossa vida - apenas se interessaria por ela para puni-la.

Percebe-se em alguns que, apesar de afirmarem que o Senhor é bom, acham que com ele a vida não pode ser alegre, contudo, cada pessoa que verdadeiramente vive com o Senhor, experimenta sua bondade a cada momento. Ele não nos tira a alegria - pelo contrário, nos faz felizes.

Ao falar com seus discípulos sobre a videira e os ramos, Jesus lhes diz: "Tenho-lhes dito estas palavras para que a minha alegria esteja em vocês e a alegria de vocês seja completa" (João 15.11). Neste texto, ele enfatiza a necessidade de permanecer ligado a ele e assim produzir frutos.

"Se vocês permanecerem em mim e as minhas palavras permanecerem em vocês, pedirão o que quiserem e lhes será concedido" (João 15.7). Tão bondosa promessa, deveria encher-nos de alegria por sabermos que "o Senhor é fiel em todas as suas promessas" (v 13 b).

O Senhor demonstra sua bondade, mesmo às pessoas que não vivem com ele: "[Deus] faz raiar o seu sol sobre maus e bons e derrama chuva sobre justos e injustos" (Mateus 5.45 b). Se o sol e a chuva estivessem sob o nosso controle, talvez nem todos os receberiam, mas o Senhor não age assim. Ele continua sendo bom, até mesmo com aqueles que são indiferentes à sua bondade.

Quero desafiá-lo a olhar para sua vida e perceber como o Senhor tem sido bom. Assim como Davi, você terá muitos motivos para glorificá-lo. - MP

The Lord is good

Read in your Bible: Psalm 145.8-15

"The Lord is good to all; your compassion reaches all his creatures "(Psalm 145.9).

While reading the book of Psalms, found numerous times the affirmation of the goodness of the Lord: "Taste and see that the Lord is good," writes David (Psalm 34.8). "The Lord is good and his loyal love is eternal; his fidelity remains for all generations " (Psalm 100.5), and this goodness is not only demonstrated to some, but to all, as we read in verse highlighted.

Often one can get the impression that God is someone completely indifferent to our lives-just be interested in her to punish her.

You can tell in a few that, despite claiming that the Lord is good, think him life cannot be happy, however, each person who truly lives with you, try your kindness at every moment. He takes no joy – on the contrary, makes us happy.

By talking to his disciples about the vine and the branches, Jesus tells them: "I have told them these words so that my joy may be in you and your joy be full" (John 15.11). In this text, he emphasizes the need to remain attached to it and so produce fruits.

"If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask for whatever you want and they will be granted" (John 15.7). So gracious promise, should fill us with joy because we know that the Lord is faithful in all his promises " (v 13 (b)).

The Lord demonstrates his goodness, even people who do not live with him: "[God] does your Sun shine on the evil and on the good and pours rain on the just and on the unjust" (Matthew 5.45 b). If the Sun and the rain were under our control, maybe not all would receive, but the Lord doesn't act like that. He continues to be good, even with those who are indifferent to his goodness.

I want to challenge you to look at your life and see how the Lord has been good. Like David, you will have plenty of motive to glorify him. -MP
