Ore! / Pray

Leia em sua Bíblia: I Samuel 12.17-23

"Orem continuamente" (1 Tessalonicenses 5.17).

Meu esposo não é cristão. Raramente aceita um convite para ir à igreja. Ainda assim, vez ou outra, eu peço a ele para ir comigo. Quando ouço a resposta habitual: "Hoje não", fico chateada e no primeiro momento, digo para mim mesma: "Não sei por que chamei se já sei que a resposta é sempre a mesma". Frequentemente, oro para que ele e outros familiares e amigos, tenham um relacionamento com Deus, baseado no que Cristo fez por nós. Mas com o passar do tempo, às vezes me sinto cansada e digo para Deus: "Senhor, por que ainda devo orar”?

Talvez isso já tenha acontecido com você.

Você ora mês após mês, ano após ano, pela cura de um, pela libertação de outro, pela mudança de comportamento de "Fulano", pelo milagre na vida de "Beltrano" - e a situação não muda.

No texto de hoje, o próprio profeta Samuel diz: "Longe de mim, esteja pecar contra o Senhor, deixando de orar por vocês” (v 23a).  Este versículo então me faz lembrar dois mandamentos divinos: amar a Deus sobre todas as coisas e ao próximo como a mim mesmo (Mateus 22.37-39).

Se eu deixar de orar pelos outros, serei negligente com suas necessidades e assim demonstro falta de amor e cuidado em relação a eles e se eu não amo meu próximo, não estou em sintonia com o meu Deus.

Portanto, mesmo quando nos sentimos cansados espiritualmente por clamar e interceder por alguém e achamos que a resposta à nossa oração demora a chegar, não podemos parar de orar. É necessário entregar a Deus em oração, aqueles que nos cercam.

A Palavra de Deus diz que, não é por força nem por violência, mas pelo Espírito de Deus (Zacarias 4.6) - ou seja, ele é quem realiza a obra. Deus responde à nossa oração preparando o caminho para o Espírito Santo agir na vida das pessoas.

Não sei quantas vezes já orei pelo meu esposo e outras pessoas, mas continuarei a orar, pois sei que é meu dever. Já a resposta, cabe somente ao Senhor. (CPB)

Orar não é questão de vontade, mas de necessidade e obediência.

Read in your Bible: 1 Samuel 12.17-23

"Pray continually" (1 Thessalonians 5.17).

My husband is not a Christian. Rarely accepts an invitation to go to church. Still, now and again, I ask him to go with me. When I hear the usual answer: "not today", I get upset and at first, I say to myself: "I don't know why I called you already know that the answer is always the same". Often, I pray that he and other relatives and friends, have a relationship with God, based on what Christ did for us. But over time, sometimes feel tired and say to God: "Lord, why should I pray?

Maybe this has already happened to you.

You now month after month, year after year, for the cure of a, for the release of another, by change of behavior of "Guy", by miracle in the life of "So-and-so"-and the situation doesn't change.

In today's text, the Prophet himself Samuel says: "away from me, is a sin against the Lord, pray for you" (v 23a). This verse so reminds me of two divine commandments: love God above all things and to the neighbor as myself (Matthew 22.37-39).

If I fail to pray for others, be negligent with their needs and thus demonstrate lack of love and care about them and if I didn't love my neighbor, I'm not in tune with my God.

Therefore, even when we feel tired spiritually by claim and intercede for someone and found that the answer to our prayer takes to arrive, we cannot stop to pray. It is necessary to turn to God in prayer, those who surround us.

The word of God says that it is not by force or by violence, but by the spirit of God (Zechariah 4.6) -i.e. He is who performs the work. God answers our prayer paving the way for the Holy Spirit acting in people's lives.

I don't know how many times I've prayed for my husband and other people, but I will continue to pray, because I know that it is my duty. Already the answer, it is only the Lord. (CPB)

Pray it's not a question of will, but of necessity and obedience.
