Leia em sua Bíblia: Gênesis 23.12-20

"O rico domina sobre o pobre: quem toma emprestado é escravo de quem empresta" (Provérbios 22.7)

Depois de lamentar a morte de sua amada esposa, Abraão foi em busca de providências para seu enterro. Embora rico, Abraão não tinha lugar para enterrar seus mortos, pois ele vivia como nômade em terra estranha.

É um belo ato de respeito reverenciar a memória de seus entes queridos mortos, e Abraão buscou um meio digno de resolver esse problema.

Graças ao bom relacionamento que o patriarca havia mantido com os donos da terra onde peregrinava e o respeito que lhe tinham por sua dedicação ao Deus vivo (veja o versículo 6 do capítulo da leitura de hoje), a questão foi resolvida pacificamente.

Abraão rejeitou a oferta gratuita da terra para a sepultura de Sara. No futuro, os hititas, por terem-na concedido de graça, poderiam julgar-se com direitos a uma terra que lhe seria preciosa por razões emocionais e afetivas, então, educadamente, insistiu em pagar o preço.

Preço e amor andam juntos.

O local é descrito como um lugar bonito. Nem poderia deixar de ser. A beleza do lugar combinava com a beleza de sua esposa. Sua beleza é sempre lembrada com destaque.

Uma das preciosas lições que Abraão nos dá, rejeitando a oferta de gratuidade, é que, quanto maior nossa comunhão com Deus, menos precisamos dos homens.

O bom relacionamento com o próximo é consequência de um bom relacionamento com Deus.

Quando Abraão visitasse o lugar, desejava relembrar a esposa, não os favores devidos a um homem. Aquele seria o lugar de homenagem exclusiva à sua esposa.

É um gesto de carinho que merece consideração em dias tão individualistas como os de hoje.

O melhor lugar de guardarmos nossos parentes, família, amigos e vizinhos é no coração.

Transforme seu coração no lugar em que outros possam habitar.

Read in your Bible: Genesis 23.12-20

"The rich rule over the poor: who borrows a slave who lends" (Proverbs 22.7)

After lamenting the death of his beloved wife, Abraham was in search of arrangements for his burial. Although rich, Abraham had no place to bury their dead, for he lived as a nomad in strange land.

It's a beautiful Act of respect revere the memory of their loved ones dead, and Abraham sought a means worthy of resolve this problem.

Thanks to the good relationship that the Patriarch had maintained with the owners of the land where flying around and the respect he had for his dedication to God alive (see verse 6 of chapter reading today), the issue was resolved peacefully.

Abraham rejected the offer of free land to the grave of Sara. In the future, the Hittites, for having her granted for free, could judge with rights to a land that would be precious for affective and emotional reasons, then politely insisted on paying the price.

Price and love go together.

The site is described as a beautiful place. Nor could fail to be. The beauty of the place combined with the beauty of his wife. Its beauty is always remembered with notability.

One of the precious lessons Abraham gives us, rejecting the offer of gratuity, is that the greater our communion with God, the less we need men.

The good relationship with the next is the result of a good relationship with God.

When Abraham visited the place, wanted to remind the wife, not the favors owed to a man. That would be the place of exclusive tribute to his wife.

It's a gesture of affection that deserve consideration in days as individualistic as of today.

The best place to keep our relatives, family, friends and neighbors is in the heart.
