Esperança

perseverança, um caráter aprovado; e o caráter aprovado, esperança (Romanos
5.3-4).

O abatimento é algo comum na vida de todo ser
humano – mas poderia ser exceção. Quando sofremos, a impressão que temos é de
que o tempo não passa e que a situação vivida é a pior possível. Mesmo assim,
aqueles que vivem com Deus sabem que seu sofrimento é temporário. E não somente
isso: que as dificuldades resultam em crescimento espiritual e prático, devido
às experiências que temos com Deus neste período. No versículo em destaque
compreendemos que o sofrimento, também chamado de tribulação, produz no cristão
características básicas para seu desenvolvimento em busca de uma vida agradável
a Deus. E traz também esperança!
A maturidade espiritual resultante de tais momentos
leva os seguidores de Jesus a glorificar a Deus mesmo em meio a fases difíceis.
Eles lhe dedicam um perfeito louvor, pois sua esperança está firmada naquele em
quem há plena alegria e contentamento. No texto que lemos hoje, o salmista
pergunta: “Por que você está assim tão triste, ó minha alma? Por que está assim
tão perturbada dentro de mim?” (v 5a). Qual é o motivo de nos entristecermos e
perdermos a alegria se sabemos que a vitória no Senhor é certa?
O motivo é simples: porque ainda estamos marcados
pela mortalidade: “Enquanto estamos nesta casa [nosso corpo físico], gememos e
nos angustiamos, porque não queremos ser despidos, mas revestidos da nossa
habitação celestial, para que aquilo que é mortal seja absorvido pela vida” (2 Coríntios
5.4). É esse o desejo dos filhos de Deus: agradar a Deus, apesar das
dificuldades e obstáculos pelo caminho, e viver eternamente com ele. No Céu,
não haverá mais nenhum mal ou sofrimento – é o que Jesus promete àqueles que
nele creem. Você tem esta esperança? Então, confie!

A esperança da vida eterna é o que nos faz glorificar a Deus nas
dificuldades que enfrentamos agora.

Hope

The
rebate is something common in the life of every human
being – but it could be the exception. When we suffer, the impression we have
is that time does not pass and that the situation is the worst. Even so, those
who live with God know that their suffering is temporary. And not only that:
the difficulties result in spiritual growth and practical, due to the
experiences that we have with God during this period. In the verse highlighted
understand that suffering, also called the tribulation, produces in the
Christian basic features for its development in search of a life pleasing to
God. And hope!
The spiritual maturity resulting from such moments bring the followers
of Jesus to glorify God even in the midst of tough times. They dedicate a
perfect praise, because their hope is grounded in who full joy and contentment.
In the text we read today, the psalmist asks: "why are you so sad, o my
soul? Why so disturbed within me? " (see 5a). What is the reason to grieve
and lose the joy if we know that victory at Lord's.
The reason is simple: because we are still marked by the mortality:
"While we are in this House [our physical body], groan and grieve us,
because we do not wish to be unclothed, but clothed our Heavenly dwelling, so
that what is mortal may be absorbed by life" (2 Corinthians 5.4). That is
the desire of the children of God: please God, despite the difficulties and
obstacles on the way, live with him eternally. In heaven, there will be no more
evil or suffering-is what Jesus promises to those who believe. You have this
hope? So, trust!

The hope of eternal life is
what causes us to glorify God in the hardships we face now.
