O diabo é astuto e sagaz. Ele entra na
vida das pessoas sem pedir licença, aproveitando cada brecha que encontra. E o
cristão não está isento disso, ao contrário. Ele precisa estar muito atento às
variadas investidas de Satanás, que está sempre cercando, muitas vezes de forma
tão sutil que passa despercebido.
É fácil nos deixarmos seduzir por um programa de TV
aparentemente inocente, uma música de melodia contagiante mas texto duvidoso,
uma piadinha bem engraçada mas maldosa ou preconceituosa. Muitas dessas
situações, que nos parecem inofensivas e sem consequência para nossa vida
espiritual, podem ser armadilhas ocultas do diabo para tentar nos capturar e
levar para longe de Deus.
Como diz o versículo em destaque, o ladrão (ou
Satanás) vem matar, roubar e destruir. Seu objetivo pode ser matar fisicamente,
mas sobretudo espiritualmente. Ele quer derrubar aqueles que decidiram viver
com Jesus, fazendo só o que agrada a Deus, e que encontraram a alegria de viver
na presença do Senhor. Quer desanimá-los e roubar-lhes a verdadeira felicidade
que há na vida com Jesus. Acima de tudo, ele quer destruir a comunhão entre o
cristão e Deus.
O cristão atento sabe que esse perigo existe e que
ele precisa ser sóbrio e vigilante o tempo todo. Se ele se acomodar, achando
que não corre perigo, ou se se arriscar, pensando ser forte o suficiente para
vencer a luta, acaba facilitando o ataque do diabo. Mas ele também não pode
ficar paralisado de medo, pois tem a promessa de que Deus lhe dará a força
necessária para ficar firme.
Deus não nos quer amedrontados, arrogantes nem
acomodados. Ele quer que vivamos de forma plena, o que só é possível se
confiarmos totalmente no seu poder, e não nas nossas forças e na nossa
sabedoria humana.

Devil's cunning and cunning. He enters the life of the people without permission, taking
advantage of every loophole. And the Christian is not without that, unlike. He
needs to be very aware of the varied advances of Satan, who is always circling,
often so subtle that it goes unnoticed.
It's easy to ourselves seduce by a TV show seemingly innocent, a catchy
melody music but dodgy text, a funny joke but evil or prejudiced. Many of these
situations, which seem harmless and no consequence to our spiritual life, can
be hidden traps of the devil to try to capture and take away from God.
As the verse highlighted, the thief (or Satan) come kill, steal and
destroy. Your goal can be killed physically but especially spiritually. He
wants to bring down those who have decided to live with Jesus, doing only what
pleases God, and they found the joy of living in the presence of the Lord. Want
to discourage them and steal their true happiness in life with Jesus. Above
all, he wants to destroy the communion between the Christian and God.
The observant Christian knows that danger exists and that it needs to be
sober and vigilant all the time. If he could accommodate, thinking that no
danger, or if risk thinking be strong enough to win the fight, just making it
the attack of the devil. But he also can't be paralyzed with fear, as it has
the promise that God will give you the strength to be firm.
God doesn't want us to be frightened, arrogant or accommodated. He wants
us to live fully, which is only possible if we trust totally in his power, and not
in our strength and our human wisdom.
