Fé

[Jesus disse]: Quem ouve estas minhas palavras e as pratica é
como um homem prudente que construiu a sua casa sobre a rocha (Mateus 7.24).

“A fé é a certeza daquilo que esperamos e
a prova das coisas que não vemos” (Hebreus 11.1). Essa é uma definição simples,
mas completa do que significa fé. Abraão é citado na Bíblia como uma pessoa que
teve fé em Deus. Mesmo não sabendo para onde estava indo, cria firmemente que
estava indo para um lugar bom, que seria seu por herança. Muitos anos mais tarde,
o rei Davi escreveu palavras que se encaixam perfeitamente no relacionamento de
Deus com Abraão: “Eu o instruirei e o ensinarei no caminho que você deve
seguir; eu o aconselharei e cuidarei de você” (Salmo 32.8). Se olharmos para
toda a história de Abraão, veremos que foi exatamente isso que aconteceu.
A fé envolve obediência. Não posso dizer que creio
em Deus se não lhe obedeço e nem aceito as suas orientações. Nos evangelhos,
Jesus às vezes fala dos mestres da lei e dos fariseus. Encontramos críticas
muito fortes a eles, a ponto de Jesus dizer: “Obedeçam-lhes e façam tudo o que
eles lhes dizem. Mas não façam o que eles fazem, pois não praticam o que
pregam” (Mateus 23.3). É uma realidade que também experimentamos em nossos
dias. Há muitas pessoas ensinando as palavras de Deus, mas um número
consideravelmente menor vivendo em obediência a elas. Ensinar sem praticar não
tem nada a ver com fé. Fé envolve ouvir e obedecer, ensinar e praticar.
Como você tem agido ou reagido diante das
orientações de Deus para sua vida? Você tem demonstrado a mesma disposição em
obedecer como Abraão mostrou? Gostaria de motivá-lo a ouvir o que Deus tem a
lhe dizer. Ele fala com você por meio da leitura da Bíblia e por meio da
pregação da sua palavra. Mas não fique apenas no ouvir, torne-se um praticante
da sua palavra - somente isso revela que você tem fé em Deus. Afinal você não o
vê, mas sabe que ele é real e que sua palavra é verdadeira.

Abraão colocou o pé e Deus foi
indicando o caminho diante dele, e assim ele foi herdeiro de uma grande
promessa.

"Faith
is sure what we expect and the proof
of the things that we do not see "(Hebrews 11.1). This is a simple but
complete definition of what it means faith. Abraham is quoted in the Bible as a
person who had faith in God. Even not knowing where he was going, creates
firmly that was going to a good place, that would be his by inheritance. Many
years later, King David wrote words that fit perfectly in the relationship of
God to Abraham: "I will instruct and teach you in the way you should
follow; I will advise and take care of you "(Psalm 32.8). If we look at
the whole story of Abraham, we see that that's exactly what happened.
Faith involves obedience. I can't say I believe in God if you don't obey
and not accept its guidelines. In the Gospels, Jesus sometimes speaks of the
masters of the law and the Pharisees. We found very strong criticism to them,
to the point that Jesus say: "Obey them and do everything they tell you.
But don't do what they do, do they practice what they preach "(Matthew
23.3). It is a reality that we experience in our days too. There are many
people teaching the word of God, but a number considerably smaller living in
obedience to them. Teaching without practice has nothing to do with faith.
Faith involves listen and obey, teach and practice.
As you have acted or reacted under the guidance of God for your life?
You have shown the same willingness to obey as Abraham showed? I would like to
motivate you to hear what God has to say to you. He talks to you through the
reading of the Bible and through the preaching of his word. But don't just
hear, become a practitioner of his word-only that reveals that you have faith
in God. After all you don't see, but know that he is real and that his word is
true.

Abraham put your foot down and
God was indicating the path before him, and so he was heir to a great promise.
