Gosto muito de novidades na área da tecnologia
e de ir às lojas para ver o que a criatividade e a técnica humana foram capazes
de produzir. Conseguimos transformar o metal bruto em eletrodomésticos muito
úteis. Do silício, elemento abundante na natureza, produzimos os chips que
equipam desde celulares ou aparelhos auditivos minúsculos até computadores que
nos permitem fazer compras em qualquer lugar do mundo com um cartão de crédito.
Entretanto, a técnica, a ciência e a inventividade
humana não são capazes de mudar o que está em nosso interior. Terapias,
exercícios de meditação, ioga ou dança de salão poderão trazer o prazer que nos
faz deixar os problemas do dia a dia de lado ou então o alívio imediato de uma
dor física. Funcionam como um analgésico natural, mas não passam disso.
O alívio duradouro das dores, anseios e dúvidas que
afligem o íntimo do ser humano é encontrado apenas em Deus. Contudo, nossa
rebeldia contra o Senhor (o pecado) separa-nos dele – alguns exemplos são
citados no texto de hoje e descrevem o “velho homem”. Mas Deus enviou seu
Filho, Jesus Cristo, para que tivéssemos um relacionamento com ele. Enquanto
viveu aqui na terra, Jesus curou pessoas fisicamente doentes, tratou feridas
emocionais, limpou chagas relacionais. Ele amou a todos sem medida, a ponto de
entregar-se para morrer em lugar dos verdadeiros culpados: nós. Quando cremos
em sua vitória sobre a morte e dedicamos a ele nossa vida, ele nos concede uma
nova disposição interior. Não temos mais uma mente endurecida pelo pecado, mas
liberta pelo amor e perdão de Deus (veja o versículo em destaque).
Deus transforma cada um de seus filhos em um novo
ser. Agora somos livres para servir, abraçar, acolher, respeitar, compartilhar.
Transformados por Deus podemos mudar o que está à nossa volta não pelo uso da
tecnologia, mas pela novidade do caráter e da atitude de Cristo em nós.

Podemos transformar o mundo material, mas só Deus pode transformar
o nosso mundo interior.

love news in the area of technology and
to go to stores to see what human creativity and technique were able to
produce. We were able to turn the crude into useful appliances. The silicon,
abundant element in nature, produce the chips fitted from cell phones or tiny
hearing aids until computers that allow us to make purchases anywhere in the
world with a credit card.
However, the technique, science and human ingenuity cannot change what
is within us. Therapies, meditation exercises, yoga or dancing can bring
pleasure that makes us leave the everyday problems of side or the immediate
relief of physical pain. Act as a natural pain reliever, but generally it.
Long-lasting relief of pain, longing and doubt afflicting the intimate
of human being is found only in God. However, our rebellion against the Lord
(SIN) separates him – some examples are cited in the text today and describe
the "old man". But God sent his son, Jesus Christ, to have a
relationship with him. While living here on Earth, Jesus healed physically
sick, dealt with emotional wounds, cleaned wounds relational. He loved all
without measure, to the point of surrendering to die in place of the real culprits:
ourselves. When we believe in his victory over death and we dedicate our life,
he gives us a new interior layout. We no longer have a mind hardened by sin,
but freed by the love and forgiveness of God (see verse headlines).
God transforms each one of his sons in a new be. Now we are free to
serve, embrace, welcome, respect, share. Transformed by God we can change what
is around us not by the use of technology, but the novelty of the character and
the attitude of Christ in us.

We can transform the material
world, but only God can transform our inner world.
