Vitória Leitura bíblica: Deuteronômio 7.12-26  _________________ Quando o Senhor, o seu Deus, os fizer entrar na terra, para a qual vocês estão indo para dela tomarem posse, ele expulsará de diante de vocês (...) sete nações maiores e mais fortes do que vocês. ... Não tenham medo delas! (Deuteronômio 7.1,18) _________________

Moisés está dizendo à nova geração dos israelitas que eles tomariam posse da terra prometida por Deus. Ele os alerta de que enfrentariam nações maiores e mais fortes que eles, mas que eles não deveriam temê-las, pois Deus lutaria por eles. Eles avançariam e expulsariam estas nações, e Deus daria a vitória a Israel. Creio que isto foi um grande conforto para os israelitas, pois o desafio era muito grande.

Qual é um grande desafio para você em sua vida? Algo que você precisa encarar, mas tem receio? Algo que parece ser impossível de alcançar? Creio que quando estamos em situações assim, o primeiro passo a dar é orar e pedir a Deus se aquilo que pretendemos fazer é de fato da vontade dele para a nossa vida. Uma vez isto confirmado, o próximo passo é fortalecer-se espiritualmente e também preparar-se adequadamente para encarar o desafio: se é um vestibular, estudar e esforçar-se ao máximo para aprender as matérias; se é a busca ou até a mudança de um emprego, entender bem deste ofício que você está procurando, preparando-se melhor; se é fazer uma cirurgia, seguir todas as recomendações médicas de preparo; se é uma viagem, saber bem para onde vai.

O fortalecimento espiritual necessário vem do relacionamento diário com Deus: ler a Bíblia e conversar com ele em oração, procurando discernir a sua vontade. O importante é que façamos a nossa parte e Deus fará a parte dele.

O que Deus mais esperava e exigia do povo de Israel era obediência. Essa era a garantia de que receberiam vitória nas lutas. Eles deveriam ser fiéis a Deus. Isto também vale para nós. Não importa o desafio que tenhamos pela frente, o importante é nos mantermos fiéis ao Senhor e confiantes nele.

É possível vencer qualquer desafio quando obedecemos a Deus.

Victory Bible reading: Deuteronomy 7.12-26  _________________ When the Lord, your God, make them get on Earth, for which you are going to take possession, he shall cast out from before you (...) seven Nations greater and stronger than you. ... Don't be afraid of them! (Deuteronomy .18 7.1) _________________

Moses is saying the new generation of Israelites that they would take possession of the land promised by God. He warns that would face Nations larger and stronger than them, but that they shouldn't be afraid of them, because God would fight for them. They advanced and drive these Nations, and God give the victory to Israel. I think this was a great comfort to the children of Israel, because the challenge was too great.

What is a great challenge for you in your life? Something you have to face, but you're afraid? What appears to be impossible to achieve? I believe that when we are in situations like this, the first step is to pray and ask God if what we want to do is in fact of his will for our life. Once this is confirmed, the next step is to strengthen spiritually and also prepare themselves properly to face the challenge: whether it's a university entrance examination, study and strive to learn the materials; If is the search or to change a job, understand this craft that you are looking for, preparing better; If you're having surgery, follow all the recommendations of medical preparation; If it's a trip, knowing where you're going.

The strengthening required comes from the spiritual relationship with God: reading the Bible and talk to him in prayer, seeking to discern his will. The important thing is that we do our part and God will do his part.

What God expected and demanded more of the people of Israel was obedience. This was to guarantee that they would win in wrestling. They should be faithful to God. This also goes for us. No matter the challenge that we have ahead of us, the important thing is to remain faithful to the Lord and trusting in him.
