Os
versículos que você acaba de ler finalizam o relato de uma série de vitórias de
Josué e Israel sobre diversos reis. Os israelitas estava pisando agora a terra
prometida por Deus a eles há muitos anos, mas precisavam ir à luta.
Eles
venceram cidades e reis que humanamente seria impossível subjugar, mas
conseguiram porque Deus estava com eles. O próprio Deus é quem lutava e
pelejava por eles, e o povo precisava confiar nele. Nem sempre tiveram êxito
imediato, pois também cometeram alguns erros quando avançavam confiando em sua
própria capacidade. Então se voltavam a Deus e obtinham vitória.
Quantas
lutas e batalhas temos de enfrentar em nossa vida? Podem ser lutas em nosso
interior contra um sentimento ruim como raiva, ódio, mágoa, inveja, ciúme, talvez
algum mau hábito ou uma necessidade de mudança em nós mesmos. Às vezes as
batalhas são travadas externamente, contra as circunstâncias: desemprego,
mal-entendidos, uma doença ou até mesmo injustiças cometidas contra nós.
Lutamos e
lutamos diariamente contra pensamentos negativos e ruins, e no fim tudo o que
temos é fracasso. Sentimo-nos derrotados. Mas a boa notícia é que essa batalha
você não precisa travar sozinho. Jesus quer ajudar, e só com ele você poderá
vencer. O segredo de Josué estava em seguir estritamente as ordens de Deus e
batalhar em nome do Senhor. Busque a ajuda dele para enfrentar suas lutas
diárias, e se você já tentou e falhou, volte-se para Deus e tente de novo. Ele
não está presente para acusar e contar quantas vezes você fracassou, mas
quantas vezes você está disposto a levantar-se e confiar nele novamente.
Convide Jesus para ajudar você nesta batalha que já dura tanto tempo e que
ainda não conseguiu vencer. Ele tem prazer em ajudar. Está mais interessado em
nos ver bem do que muitas vezes nós mesmos.

The
verses you just read finish the account of a winning streak of Joshua and
Israel on various kings. The Israelis were treading now the promised land by

They
won cities and Kings that humanly it would be impossible to subdue, but
succeeded because God was with them. It is God himself who struggled and worked
for them, and the people had to trust him. Not always were successful
immediately, because I made some mistakes when they rely on their own ability.

How
many fights and battles we face in our life? Can be in our inner struggles
against a bad feeling as anger, hatred, bitterness, envy, jealousy, maybe some
bad habit or a need for change in ourselves. Sometimes the battles are fought
externally, against the circumstances: unemployment, misunderstandings, a disease
or even injustice committed against us.
We
fight and fight daily against negative thoughts and bad, and in the end all we
have is failure. We feel defeated. But the good news is that you don't have to
battle wage alone. Jesus wants to help, and only with it you can win. The
secret of Joshua was in strictly follow the orders of God and fight in the name
of the Lord. Seek his help to cope with their everyday struggles, and if you've
tried and failed, turn to God and try again. He is not here to accuse and count
how many times you have failed, but how many times are you willing to stand up
and trust him again. Ask Jesus to help you in this battle that has lasted so
long and still couldn't win. He's happy to help. Is more interested in seeing
us well than many times ourselves.
