No Antigo Testamento
temos alguns registros de diálogos de Deus com o ser humano. Esses diálogos nos
revelam um Deus bastante pessoal e próximo, bem diferente da imagem que muitas
vezes se tem dele. O texto que você acabou de ler traz um desses diálogos.
Devido às práticas perversas em Sodoma e Gomorra, Deus decide exterminar as
pessoas daquelas cidades. Abraão coloca-se como intercessor entre Deus e essas
pessoas. Ele sabia que estava sendo atrevido em dirigir-se a Deus com alguns
questionamentos, ainda mais por serem repetitivos. Mas o que surpreende é que
Deus não se irrita com Abraão, mas o deixa falar.
Deus tem interesse em
nos ouvir. Não importa o que temos a dizer, Deus inclina o seu ouvido. Não
precisamos mudar a tonalidade da nossa voz e nem procurar palavras de efeito ou
ainda repetir frases que ouvimos de outros ao orarem a Deus. Ao falar com Deus
podemos ser nós mesmos. Não precisamos criar um personagem e nem fazer de conta
que somos o que na verdade não somos. Deus nos conhece muito melhor do que nós
mesmos. Foi ele quem nos formou e nos vê desde o ventre da nossa mãe. Ele sabe
o que está no nosso coração e na nossa mente.
Talvez você pense em seu
coração: já que Deus sabe de todas as coisas, não há motivo para falar com ele.
Contudo, Deus quer nos
ouvir. Como pais, muitas vezes sabemos o que nossos filhos desejam, mas
gostamos de ouvi-los e de conversar com eles. Deus não é diferente. Desde o
Jardim do Éden (Gênesis 2.8), Deus procurou manter contato com o ser humano,
falando e ouvindo o que este tinha a dizer. O rei Davi testemunhou: “De manhã
ouves, Senhor, o meu clamor; de manhã te apresento a minha oração e aguardo com
esperança” (Salmo 5.3). Quero motivá-lo a fazer o mesmo: fale com Deus, ele vai
ouvi-lo sem se aborrecer. Na verdade, ele está mais disposto a ouvi-lo do que
você para falar com ele.

que nos voltarmos a Deus para falar com ele, ele estará disposto a nos ouvir.

In
the old testament we have some records of dialogues of God with the human
being. These dialogues reveal a very personal God and around, quite different
from the image that often has him. The text you just read brings one of those
dialogs. Due to the perverse practices in Sodom and Gomorrah, God decides to
exterminate the people of those cities. Abraham puts up as intercessor between
God and these people. He knew he was being bold in addressing God with some
questions, even more for being repetitive. But what is surprising is that God
is not provoked with Abraham, but lets talk.
God
is interested in listening to us. No matter what we say, God inclines his ear.
We don't have to change the tone of our voice and not look up words or effect
repeat phrases that we hear of others to pray to God. When talking with God we
can be ourselves. We don't need to create a character and not pretend that we
are what we are not actually. God knows us better than we know ourselves. It
was he who formed us and see us from the womb of our mother. He knows what is
in our hearts and in our minds.
Maybe
you think in your heart: since God knows all things, there is no reason to talk
to him.
However,
God wants us to hear. As parents, many times we know what our children want,
but we like to listen to them and talk to them. God is no different. Since the
garden of Eden (Genesis 2.8), God sought to keep in touch with the human being,
talking and listening to what he had to say. King David testified: "in the
morning you hear, Sir, my cry; This morning my prayer and look forward with
hope, "(Psalm 5.3). I want to motivate you to do the same: talk to God, he
will hear it without worry. In fact, he is more willing to listen to him than
you to talk to him.
