coisas e seres criados, em lugar do Criador, que é bendito para sempre. Amém

Como o próprio nome
menciona, o livro dos Reis fala sobre os reis e seus reinados. Alguns fizeram a
vontade de Deus, outros nem tanto e outros nem um pouco. Fizeram o que era mau
perante o Senhor e levaram todo o povo sob sua liderança a pecar contra Deus. O
rei em destaque na leitura de hoje chama-se Josias e começou a governar com
apenas oito anos de idade, reinando trinta e um anos em Jerusalém. Um pouco
antes lemos que “ele fez o que o Senhor aprova e andou nos caminhos de Davi,
seu predecessor, sem desviar-se nem para a direita nem para a esquerda” (22.2).
Por andar nos caminhos
do Senhor Deus, ele teve de corrigir muitos erros e pecados dos seus
antecessores, realizando uma verdadeira reforma espiritual. Entre elas,
destruiu as acomodações dos prostitutos cultuais e acabou com o sacrifício de
crianças.
O que chama atenção
nestas dinastias é que, toda vez que os reis se desviaram dos caminhos de Deus,
acabaram por potencializar a esfera sexual, prostituindo-se de todas as formas.
Aqui, tinham chegado ao ponto de instalá-la no próprio templo do Senhor (veja o
verso 7). Como diz o versículo em destaque, trocaram o Criador pela criatura e
serviram a outras coisas criadas. Não estou dizendo que sexo é ruim, mas pode
tornar-se ruim quando banalizado, como também acontece com as demais coisas.
Atualmente nosso país
vive uma espécie de erotização da sociedade. Tudo ou quase tudo está ligado a
sexo ou pornografia. Hoje mesmo muitos brasileiros estão se esbaldando no
Carnaval. Sob o pretexto de “celebrar a vida”, o que vemos é o endeusamento da
sensualidade sem rédeas, da irresponsabilidade, do egocentrismo total e
absoluto. Não há música, diversão e brincadeira que consigam esconder isso.
Seria então realmente uma festa inofensiva?

As
the name mentions, the book of Kings tells about the Kings and their reigns.
Some did the will of God, others less so and others not at all. They did what
was evil before the Lord and took all the people under his leadership to sin
against God. The King highlighted in today's reading is called Josiah and began
to govern with only eight years of age, reigning thirty-one years in Jerusalem.
A little before we read that "he did what the Lord approves and walked in
the ways of David his ancestor, without deviating neither to the right nor to
the left" (22.2).
By
walking in the ways of the Lord God, he had to correct many errors and sins of
their predecessors, performing a true spiritual reform. Among them, destroyed
the cult prostitutes ' accommodation and ended up with the sacrifice of
children.
What
draws attention in these dynasties is that, every time the Kings have gone
astray from God's ways, ultimately enhancing the sexual sphere, prostituting
himself in every way. Here, had reached the point of install it in own House of
the Lord (verse 7). As the verse highlighted, exchanged the creator the
creature and served the other created things. I'm not saying that sex is bad,
but can become bad when trivialized, as also happens with other things.
Currently
our country lives a kind of society this stranger was sleek. Everything or
almost everything is linked to sex or pornography. Today many Brazilians are playing
hookey at the Carnival. Under the pretext of "celebrate life", what
we see is the deification sensuality without reins, irresponsibility, of
complete and utter selfishness. There's no music, fun and games you can hide
it. Would then really a party?
